    2 calls from 611 today.

The first one I answered and a recorded message said my AT&T account was suspended and to press 1. I then hung up.

The second call came a few hours later. I did not  answer and blocked the number.

Same here, they are getting slick.  611 (caller ID showed +1611) makes it appear as if the call is coming from the carrier.  Luckily, I am with another carrier, and not with AT&T, but even if I was with AT&T, bells were already going off in my head.

***BE AWARE***  Caller was a pre-recorded (probably artificial) voice, identifying themselves as AT&T, that your account was disconnected, and advising you to press 1 to reactivate.

The con is getting slicker by the day!

The caller ID will show 611 (+1611 in my case), which makes it appear if you're receiving a call from the carrier.  FYI, if you don't already know, 611 is infact the service number for most carriers, dialing it will connect you through your mobile carrier's customer service.  But do not be fooled by this call!  In fact, if your account was disconnected or deactivated, you probably wouldn't be getting any service in the first place, and wouldn't be able to place or receive calls either.  You'd probbaly already be on the phone with your carrier, not the other way around.

Also, if your carrier is trying to get a hold of you for a legitimate reason, they'll likely leave you an actual message, advising you to call customer service.  You know your account, and you know if your account has a problem, don't let these fools con you.

I got my first call from 611 on Feb 6th. Not knowing any better, I answered it. I hung up when the robo-voice said my account had been suspended and to press something to continue. 611 has been calling me once or twice a day since then. If I ignore the call, they leave a 2-second voicemail that is nothing but silence. I blocked 611 from calling me on the 9th or 10th of February, but they are still somehow able to leave me a 2-second silent voicemail each time.

Received a call from 611; saying my AT&T account shows suspicious activity, please log in now to verify activity.  I haven't been an AT&T customer for 3years.I hung up. Calling at 930pm and asking me to "log in now" I figured it was a scam. Phone companies do not typically call you from an anonymous number to request your information. They barely answer you when you call them.

    Received a call from “+ 1(611)”

It looked suspicious to me so I didn’t answer it. No message was left. Then I got up on 800 notes.com and saw all of the comments. Obviously this is some sort of a scam or fraud attempt. Just wanted to add my two cents.
