They called me 14x in one day and said one time regarding Victoria's Secret credit card, which I do not own. Then said it is regarding another credit card, which I also do not own. In fact I do NOT have a credit card with any of the companies they mentioned!!! They asked for a lot of info a real credit card company would have on file, which led me to suspect it was a form of identity theft. No, I did NOT provide that info! They also called me from several other numbers trying to "trick" me. Didn't work. Then called from a "with held" number, which is illegal if was in fact a real creditor. No real company would call 14x a day, not know my name, and not know why calling. Do NOT provide info to them! If you have a credit card with one of the companies they claim to support, contact that company from # on back of your card instead. From Googling the #s they have called me from, appears to be numerous complaints on this company. They also call all times of day and night, which no legit company would do. Plus, if you owe a company money, they would have mailed you a bill of some sort.

    Credit Card Protection Offers

The thought of someone getting their hands on your credit cards and charging hundreds, even thousands of dollars is alarming. There are companies out there that are trying to ease such fears by offering credit card loss protection programs. Your BBB, along with the Federal Trade Commission warns that some offers are not worth the money, so beware.

Credit card protection offers are popular among fraudulent promoters who are trying to exploit consumers' uncertainty. In some cases, scare tactics and misleading information are used to sell protection that is not needed. Some scam artists may even claim to be connected with your credit card issuer and ask to "verify" your account number to make sure you are protected. Your real credit card issuer does not need your account number-it already has it.

The BBB advises consumers to avoid doing business with telemarketers who claim that:

-you are liable for more than $50 in unauthorized charges on your credit card account

-you need credit card loss protection because hackers can access your credit card number and charge thousands of dollars to your account

-a computer bug could make it easy for thieves to place unauthorized charges on your credit card account

-they are from the "security department" of your credit card company and want to activate the protection feature on your credit card, but first they need to "verify" your account number to make sure you are protected.

The best defense against these types of scams is to educate yourself and know your rights as a consumer. Under federal law, you are not responsible for any charges if you report your card missing before someone else has used it and you are not liable for more than $50 if it has been used, as long as you report the problem promptly.

Most card issuers have voluntary policies to remove unauthorized charges completely if you report them as soon as you discover them. In you are not sure what your issuer's policy is, ask.

As a precaution for all unsolicited telephone calls, never give out personal information unless you have initiated the call and know the company with which you are dealing. Also, check out any company with your BBB before making a purchase decision.

Beware - company is out of business!!!!  Do Not give out any information to them.  Am filing a complaint with the BBB.

Another things I did was when they called, I told them that I am not giving out any information and that I will notify the authorities and being legal proceedings against you.  Ever since that call, not one call from them again.

This "company" has called 7x from this # and over 30x total in last few days. They must be a id theft scam of some sort. Claim to be creditors and yet do not who calling for, ask for my SS#, name, address, and phone (etc), when I do not answer they do NOT leave a message as a real creditor would, and they call numerous times a day at all times which a real creditor would not do(as late as 8pm on a Sunday even). Are not registered with BBB either and the one phone # that did show it said they are not a real company. Now they are calling me from several #s, which I will report as well with the hope they stop calling. Those that have posted on here that it is a legit company must work for these scammers!

The 614-729-6811 number started calling my OFFICE number last week. They call everyday at the same time and twice in a row, regardless if I pick up the first call or not. I've never had a VS or Lane Bryant call so I have no idea who they are trying to reach. Considering this is a place of business they are calling, it needs to STOP!

Here's a list of numbers from this bank (they're after me for a "past-due" bill on a New York and Company credit card, which I could write ANOTHER post about... idiots...).  I've included the times of the most recent.

    SAT. 11/27/10:
    8:08 a.m.:  913-563-5509
    9:09 a.m.:  614-729-6811
    1:06 p.m.:  303-255-5104
    2:20 p.m.:  614-729-6078

    SUN. 11/28/10:
    8:40 a.m.:  913-563-5509
    11:24 a.m.:  614-729-6811
    12:33 p.m.:  303-255-5025

    MON. 11/29/10:
    5:26 p.m.:  303-255-5104
    8:21 p.m.:  303-255-5104
    9:25 p.m.:  614-729-6811

    TUE. 11/30/10:
    8:10 a.m.:  614-534-2513
    10:28 a.m.:  614-945-5393
    5:28 p.m.:  913-677-8314
    6:38 p.m.:  913-677-8314
    8:49 p.m.:  303-255-1779

    TODAY, 12/1/10:
It's 10:30 a.m. here in Massachusetts.  I've already received two calls.
    8:07 a.m.:  303-255-5104
    9:55 a.m.:  614-729-6811

Calling five times in one day over a span of over 12 hours, 13 hours, and calling at 8:40 a.m. on a SUNDAY is a little ridiculous.  Sometimes I get a message that says, "(recording:) -- line for an important call.  We will be with you shortly." (person:)  "Hello?  Hello?  Hello?"

Like someone before me said, LEAVE A MESSAGE IF IT'S THAT IMPORTANT.  And it's doubly sneaky to have so many numbers the company calls from.

I'm all for the class-action suit.  I don't know if it applies in MA, but I'm calling the state's Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.  I'll also post info regarding the MA Do Not Call Registry and when to take legal action against businesses.  Plthh.

I have been getting phone calls several times a day from 614-729-6811, 303-255-5104, 305-255-5025 daily!

I just called Victoria's Secret credit card services 800-695-1526 and spoke with someone. My account was indeed a few days over due. I made a payment yesterday and got a call today from them today (the payment hasn't processed yet). I said these numbers keep calling me and don't leave messages. He said they can not leave a message, they can only speak to someone if they answer. I told him I didn't want anymore calls, that I was out of the country when my bill came and was due. He said he "made a note to not have calls made" but who knows how long that will last! I'm paying off my card within the next month and cancelling, this is ridiculous!

The phone line I called identified my number and asked me to put the last 4 of my social in, which I did. I thought it was odd when we were done with the call he asked for my home phone, I told him he already had it, I was not going to give it to him. He said he just needed to verify, I said no again. He then asked for my address to which I responded, I'm not going to give it to you, you already have it... If it was validated when we got on the line, why would he need this information again? Very odd. I suggest cancelling your VS and other cards that use this company, what an ANNOYANCE!
