Since 1st week of Dec. I have had four calls I instigated to AT&T on a service to be added to home phone. One call I made from office to a manager at AT&T,her follow up consisted of three calls to office phone regarding the home phone service needs. Today,Jan 2nd,2008 I get thia Flake-Wilkerson call from 615-886-7224 wanting me to respond to a business phone survey. Questions were 1/ What is $ amount spent monthly for the business including any DSL lines?, 2/# of phone lines in office?, 3/# of full time employees, 4/"Who do you have your business telephone service with?". At this question I responded, we do not give out that information. The caller's resonse was "Oh, thank you so much for your time." and hung up. Guess they did not get what they wanted to continue the call! I too feel this was connected with AT&T since Flake-Wilkerson has never called here before.

Have not answered the call because if I do not know the number, than no answer is the response.

Just canceled my Cingular/AT&T service since our company uses Sprint.  Two calls today from this number on the number I gave to Cingular as my contact number after cancellation.  Immediately looked it up, saw these posts and called AT&T.  Apparently there is some legal wrangling going on with AT&T concerning this.  AT&T is supposed to get back to me today with an update.

Almost same as everyone else. Just upgraded services with AT&T and now this number called and it rang once and then they hung up.

Don't hang up!  It's time to fight back.  Give a few minutes of your time to give incorrect information.  There is no obligation on your part of be honest with these people whose inquiries are questionable at best.  If enough people give incorrect information, the instrusive companies will eventually be obsolete.

Flake-Wilkerson called my house. Asked for someone else. Some hispanic name. I said I didn't know them. They then asked me if I was ever with at&t and I replied no. They ok, thank you and hung up. I am ticked off. I am going to tell them if they ever call me again, that I will slap them around a bit with a very large trout.  You think that will help?  La la la la loooo this is tiabear.. Muahs... love you all...

Missed a call from this number.  Googled to see what it was.  I'm glad I didn't answer.  I just ported my number from AT&T to T Mobile because of various issues.

I also got a call from them 3 days after porting my number from Cingular/AT&T to Sprint.  Showed up as "Tennessee" on my caller ID.  I don't answer the phone anymore if I don't recognize the number.

My little brother recently changed his out of state AT&T cell phone number to a local number, since he has been home from college for a while now.  Why on earth they feel the need to call about something that stupid is beyond me.

Got my first call this afternoon. I just dropped ATT/Cingular over the weekend. Looks like I'll be getting these calls as well. Glad I read this before I returned the call.

I have been an ATT/Cingular cust for 5 years.  This must be a 3rd party customer service survey company.  I received a call on 3/24 after calling ATT customer service on 3/21.  Looks like a legit reason for call.  DON"t be spooked.  See below blurb from company website:

I would guess that if ATT/Cingular claims that they are not responsible for those calls they are, to be charitable, lying.
I just changed a Cingular/ATT account to a new ATT account last Friday, and this morning I get phone calls from 615 886 7224.  If you call that number back, you get a modem or fax answer tone and hung up on.

It appears that Flake Wilkerson is now part of

Wow there are a lot of people who really get bugged by these phone calls lol. Well if you don't know who it is then don't answer the phone- it's that simple. Any time you answer the phone and you don't know who it is, it's you're own fault if you get irritated. The call center I worked for in sherwood, AR had about 100 "interviewers" on the phone at all times, give or take 20. Most of the people working there are high school and college students, and a few elderly people who are retired and just want a little extra income. Trust me, the people on the other side of the line want you to hang up on them, I hated it every time someone wanted to do a survey. Luckily for me I wasn't on the phone for that long, cause I got to supervise. For all of you who are angry about this, calling the head office wont do anything. The only way to get them to stop calling you is, when you first realize who it is, ask to be taken off of their calling list. They should do it, but if you're rude to them or act like a dick, then the individual interviewer usually gets pissed and puts you on to get called again.

Now, if they call your cell phones, tell them that it is against FCC regulations to do surveys on cell phones and ask to speak to the floor manager, not the supervisor, and tell them you're going to press charges. That'll get you taken off of a few other companies' call lists as well. As for giving out your personal info- we have everything on the screen in front of us, your name, phone number, address and a few other bits of info- but we still had to ask for it for "verification." If you get a call from flake and you're afraid to give out your personal info, then oh well cause we had it all on a screen in front of us- we get it from your phone/tv/internet providers. If you want to get rid of them, the last thing you need to do is yell, cuss, or do anything that would piss them off cause, trust me, 95% of the time, that'll get you put back on the call list. Hope this helps.

oh, but if you do go ahead with the survey, the company ships out a bunch of free stuff to random participants like ipods, dvd players, tv's, etc. but odds are like 1 in over a million that it'll be you. so don't let that convince you.

I will not answer this number. I don't know who it is. Recently marketing companies got a hold of my cell number and now I get 5 to 8 calls a day from strange, out of area numbers I do not know.
