I got a call from this number at dinnertime last evening.  So I phoned the number back from my company's phoneline this morning.  Their greeting says they are Kantar Operations and they list this website:

who are they?  and y r they calling me....... I am on the 'DO NOT CALL LIST'  !!!!

I don't pick up and when they hear my machine they hang up.
Who is it?

We all have caller ID so we do not answer calls we do not know.  

JUST DON'T ANSWER.

30 years ago we didn't have that luxury, but now we do.  Just laugh at them and let it ring.  You win!!!

One more thing...

Just make sure your name is not on your answering machine.  Just say, "Sorry we are not able to take your call.  Leave a message."

Do not say, "I am not home"  it shows you live alone.
Do not say, "Janet and Paul are not home"  it gives too much info.
Do not say, "We are on vacation until the 5th"  someone will burglarize your house!!!

Limit the information you share on a machine.

Can't begin to tell you how frightening this call is for me....I live alone and these unsolicited calls haunt me. Thanks to all who log in their accounts, as I no longer worry that this is solely directed towards me.

I have been getting calls from this number also.  At least twice a day.  It comes up as Millward Brown on my caller id.

I like all the rest am on the national and state do not call list. Just because the company says it is in the United States does not necessarily mean that is where the call is coming from. I have called my insurance company before and had it answered from somewhere other than the US. The do not call list has no bearing on calls from outside the US. Thank God for who came up with the idea of the caller id.

Many of have been talking this one up. Found info per buisness week profiles. They have offices in the US and 10 calling centers in the UK. Use the following URL to look them up.

If you call the number back it gives you a voice recording of who they are and what they do.  Apparently, they conduct research for companies.
After they tell you what they do they give you an option ("1") to have your number deleted from their phone bank.  I did this a few days ago and I have not recieved any more of their calls.  Hope this helps.

I have been getting calls from Kantar Ops.  who are these people, I am also on national "no call".

Have received calls from this number past 2 weeks, only weeknights and weekends after 7 PM.
I have not answered except 8/10 and it was to answer questions for survey.  I told remove from DNCL and will report number.

i hate this company and they don't call me - i don't have a phone.  I'm stupid.

I also have begun receiving these calls.  Make the mistake of answering without looking the first time because it was after 9pm here.  I told her to remove my from their list and told her I was on the do not call registry.  She said that the DNC does NOT APPLY to them - BS!!!  

I went online and turned them in on the DNC website - have done this before to a company who would not leave me alone - IT WORKS!!  They get contacted and fined by the government, hehe.
