Aug 31, 2010 at 2.10 PM. Calls my small business cell phone. I do not answer, they do not leave a message.

Two calls from them so far.  No message.  Has anyone ever actually talked to these people to find out what they're researching?

they call in the evening.  Am on the DO NOT CALL list.   Say they are from a research company.

Called the other day, we didn't answer. No msg left on vm. Called again today, told friend hold on, clicked over, man calling stated his name and that he was with verizon wireless, and asked if he could speak to <name> (my old roommate). I said that person no longer resides here. He said oh sorry, we will remove this number. so idk what they wanted (poll, sales pitch?).

The number 630-505-3008 showed up on my caller I.D. under the name of Millward Brown.  They have called 3 times in the last 3 days and never left a message. I am also on the "No Call List". Today's date:

No idea who this person is.....any clues...

Same number, calls at our companies, and want to confirm if [person's name] is still dealing with the bank stuff. Told 'em we're on the national DNCL, and that we never did any business with them, but they don't seem to care.  Keep on calling and asking the same stuff over and over.  Already filed a complain to the CRTC

"Unknown", 630-505-3008 showed in called id which is Illinois area code, but caller claimed to be from Ontario, Canada for "Added Value" Survey Company or Research Company; wanted to do a survey about health insurance.  said their callback number was 888-274-2445.
I asked to be put on their do-not-call-list; he claimed not to have one!?!
Can Canadian firms really ignore US law even when calling US numbers?

First of all if this is a survey call like some posters have said it does not matter if you are on the "National Do Not Call" List as that only works for sales calls and surveys obviously are not sales calls. Thus there is no way or need to report them as it won't make a difference. In regards to having an unlisted number... if you are randomly generating numbers with a computer it doesn't matter if it is unlisted or not it is still going to end up "randomly" being called. People need to do their research before bitching about things they can't change. I do however understand their frustration as I have received a call from this number twice tonight and all they did was hang up. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do but hope they just end up moving on.

I'm getting calls from this number several times a day and every day?  They leave no message and I haven't been available to pick-up.  What do they want and how do I stop them?

I just email Millward Brown and requested them to stop all future calls as I'm on the "Do Not Call" list.  Let's hope this works.

Do what I do. I have a police whistle that if a number keeps calling here, I blow it as hard  as I can into the phone. If  it isn't a real person, maybe it'll break the auto-caller on these [***] !

Keep getting calls from this number in the evening time. I never answer it cause I don't recognize the number. I did try to answer it the last time and they hung up. I tried to call it back several times and I kept getting a busy signal.

Also they never leave a message!

1-2 calls a night from name "WIllard Brown". And I'm on the national do not call list. :(
