It is the newspaper callling for you to renew your subscription.  I dropped it.  They call multiple times a day.  When they call - I answer - when they ask for me I simpley say 'that person is in prision'.  At that point the person calling is quite speachless and hangs up.   - the national do not call list does not work - so you may as well just have fun with 'em.

I took Lulu's advice and called 636 931-2737.  A woman answered "Pisa Group, this is _____" and I asked her to take my number off their call list.  She took my number down, repeated it to me correctly and said she would take care of it.  We'll see.  When the call comes in, it says simply "NEWS" as the caller.  The 636 Area Code is in Missouri.

Well I have been geting calls from them on my home phone that i blocked. Now they call me on my cell phone wtf lol this is crazy. My caller Id reads PAPER everytime they call me.

People like you make me sick.  I had a BIMBO put my phone number on the internet last February and am still getting calls for her.  I have obtained her home address and looked her up on he internet.  I have consulted an attorney because she has continued to post my number and the attorney said this is identity theft and to make a police report. I know she is doing this on purpose because I contacted her on FB and informed her not to use fictious number and she gone has done it again a couple of times.  My next move is to make the police report.  I hope you don't continue giving false numbers.

So I've been getting a call from this number (636.925.1746) for the last several days, once I answer, they hang up. I looked at the comments on this page and decided to call (636.931.2737, found in a post below) and it is the Pisa Group. Someone answered right away and I told him someone from that company keeps calling me and hanging up. He sounded like this was a common thing and asked me what paper their from. I told him I didn't know because they kept hanging up, but I told him the large city I lived near and he new exactly which paper was calling me. He asked for my phone number so he could send an email to take my number off the list. I was reluctant to do so, but I figure they already have my number!:/  So I guess we'll see what happens!

Caller ID on my phone says NEWS with this number, when I answered it, there was no one there.

If your cell phone is on the no call list you can report this number to the federal no call list.  It is illegal for the telemarketer to call your cell phone if you are on the no call list. Please report them!  The more complaints the federal government receives the more likely they will be to file charges.  I report all solicitation numbers on my cell phone to the Federal No Call List.

I don't think these are random "telemarketers" - they are hired by your newspaper company to call you when your subscription is coming to an end. Therefore, I don't think they are violating do-not-call-list rules, since they are calling on behalf of a company that you do business with (your local newspaper).

I have noticed that they start calling approximately 3 months before my subscription expires, and they are relentless, which can get annoying. (I added their # to my contacts and set it to not ring when they call). However, I plan on eventually speaking with them to see what pricing deal they offer and whether it is better than what I can get direct from my newspaper online.

I don't subscribe to a newspaper and never have and I get these calls on a mobile phone.  If they are hired by the local paper, they are as much as responsible as the company they hired when it comes to telemarketing violations.  Given how broke many newspapers are, it would take many lawsuits to end their calling campaign as they would be out of business.

I live in MO in the 636 area code, and get these calls all the time and they just hang up if I answer.  Really annoying.  I only answered originally because I'm looking for a job and thought it was a local callback...  Not so much.

I don't subscribe to a newspaper, I never have, and I don't give out my cellphone number.  Today is the first day they have called me, I didn't answer.  If they had something important to say they'd leave a voicemail, answer when you call them back, and not have a full voicemail box.  I wouldn't suggest encouraging them.

I get the same annoying calls even as late is 9:00 pm. I called the number back and followed the prompts to have my number removed from their call list. Hopefully it works since they keep pissing me off.

So the complaints about this number go back to 2007. People have been complaining to the DNC since 2007 and
yet this outfit still completely disregards the Do Not Call list. Doesn't the DNC organization ever fine

This number continues to call my landland. The calls are annoying. I want them to stop bothering me.
