My husband got a text that said it was from an unknown, that said got your number from a friend and their name was cutiepie8889.hangouthop.org and said to go and see if he recognizes them.  That caused us to have a big fight, because I that some other woman was texting him.  But we don't have T-mobile, we have Sprint

I just got the same text: "hiya, I took ur numbr off our friend. I bet you won't guess who this is! I'm too shy..check my profile is LuvCooper19.friends-box.org. This is bull****. I have two kids under age 5. I don't have time for this crap! I subscribe to Sprint, but it seems like many phone carriers are affected. What can be done about this?

same crap a text from a person saying they got my number from a friend and that they were shy. When I call sprint they wont block the number but they still want their .20 for the text. Bull. I believe sprint sells phone numbers to other companies for money. 1 cent a number adds up when they have over 15 million account open. enjoy

I'm a Sprint user, i think whoever is doing this is randomly punching in numbers...=(

my 12 year old daughter got this message, and it showed up unknown. whoever is behind this should be locked up. i dont understand how they got her number, she barely gives it to anyone.

I have received 2 text message calls today(as above) from an unknown caller 641 691-2937 who says a friend gave him/her my number.  I doubt that seriously.  Want calls to stop as they cost me and upset me also.

I really don't appreciate the fact that my son and daughter are getting these strange texts. It's just not appropriate and whoever's behind this should stop. Maybe take up hockey, I don't know. But, stop texting and calling my children, PLEASE.

I took in my neice after my sister passed and the one thing that I noticed about her is how often she texts! But the thing is, I do get worried when she starts getting texts that show up with no number. She doesn't think it's that big of a deal, but every time she answers that phone when the number's unknown, I do get worried. Maybe I'm overreacting because I don't want anything to happen to her, but still. This has got to stop. It's credited as phone harrassment in my book.
