Just text message via BT, reportedly from this number. Didn't listen to it as I've had this kind of rubbish before.

Anybody know who sent the text?

Had 3 SMS from this number today - all from BT themselves telling me a recent order has now been fulfilled.  Seemed genuine and I wouldn't mind except...

1.  they sent the same text three times, scattered across the day (why??) and

2.  the order isn't complete, as they messed it up.  

So, all in all, totally useless, and very annoying.

Got a text from the number in vague wording confirming an order "more details in letter and e-mail" except I haven't made an order with them any time recently. It is their number (they have details of the same number as part of an SMS trial - text to see your bill or something similar - on their website) but why it's sending me non-existant order confirmation I don't know.

i got a text from 64364 from bt saying thanks for my recent order but im not with bt and have a 12 month contract with another provider, so why are they sending it, and is this a scam to get money??

message- complete random. didn't respond as suspect it will be £5.00 text scam if it isn't then its BT being even more useless than normal and as i have no business with them what so ever it seems best ignored- certainly do not encourage them by replying!!

got a text saying I'd made changes to my BT service. Clearly [***].

I got a text from 64 364 too, was going to report it to my bank in case any ££ were going to be taken out. But on a google search found this from BT, it's a text text to check your landline is working, do not text back as they will send a text back costing you money!  Not sure how genuine this is and hope it helps.  http://www2.bt.com/static/i/btretail/panretail/sms/Terms_conditions.htm

Thats it! Didn't reply as was unsure of its origin - not expecting any kind of appointment either!

just had a text from 64364 telling me my broadband service is ready, thanks for choosing BT.

i didnt order it, and my internet is just fine from another provider.

I haven't ordered anything from BT. Not replying as think it may be a scam - the wording is very informal and there are no other contact details.

Just had two texts from this number also informal wording with lots of ?? in the texts. I think this is some sort of scam. I've ordered nothing from BT. Not a cat's chance in hell I'm texting back!!

I just received SMS
"BT here. Your phone service is ready for you. You can find out a phone's number by calling 17070 from it.  Thanks for choosing BT"
Means nothing to me as I no longer rent line from BT, however, for what it's worth 17070 does seem to be a line testing number for BT lines.

Just received the same message as above, I'm just going to delete it, bt would call if it was important !

I have now spoken to bt, they have no knowledge of this text, they said they would write a letter if I'd set up something new with them ! THIS IS A SCAM !

I believe whoever this is contacted my 90 year old auntie yesterday who gave them my mobile number, as I have asked her to do this if she is being pestered - and like your other callers I have received a text confirming an order that has been placed - if it is BT then they are deplorable by using tactics on a 90 year old very confused lady - who was a war hero in her day - BT if this is you wake up!

? Why the text message?

Why do u get sms from the above company (BT), when I have no products from this comoany?

This morning I received a text as follows "Hello, BT here.  Just a reminder for you; we'll call you back on 12/02/2013 between 10:45 and 12:45".  I fell for this completely as I'm in the midst of an almighty row with BT about a new Broadband installation, and I had given them my mobile number as a contact number, since they keep causing havoc on my landline!  It was only half an hour ago that I had the bright idea of feeding the sender number 64 364 into Google, and I susequently found enlightenment.........I will ignore the text I received, and continue my battle with BT through the normal routes then!
