Keeps calling won't leave a message.  When I call back it is a recording that says "customer service".

Same thing here. Probably some scam.

I found that when I did a reverse lookup using the whitepages.

I get the same calls. What do we do to stop this? What can we do?

This number has called me 4 times in the past two days.  I don't answer and they don't leave a message.  Why does this happen???

This number called wanting to know if I was getting the newspaper that I recently subscribed to!?!  However, I live in TX and this call is from GA....go figure!

We received several calls this past week from the subject number...no message...no live body...nothing.  Completed a reverse lookup as others did and got the same result...Global Crossing at Conyers GA.  When we called the number the recorded message said simply "Customer Service", but gave me the option of being removed from their calling list.  Took that option.  Now we will await the results because it doesn't seem as if that will be the end of these unsolicited calls.

I did a google search for Global Crossing in Conyers, Georgia.  2 numbers came up in Atlanta:  404-525-1994 & 404-522-1371.  Maybe it's time to call them
directly on a different number : )

First I got a call from "unknown name-Unknown number"- I picked up receiver and punched in some number keys, heard some man ask for my name (first & last) then I started punching numbers again and he hung up.  Immediately afterward, I got a call from the above number 678 253-0256 and the caller id said "VERIFICATION FR" whatever that means............what an annoying bunch of rude jerks!

I got the same call from 625-253-0256 tonight. We recently changed our phone number about a week before they called. Either this company already had our new number in their database or it was sold. We also just apply for a subscription to a morning newspaper and they asked for our number. I don't think that they would sell our number to anyone but this is just very interesting.

they call 3-4 times a day for about a week now. just hangs up when i pick up. we also just subscribed to our local newspaper. seems fishy. we are also on the do not call list. i hope one time a human is there when i pick up so i can scream my ass off at them.

BEWARE! If they call to confirm your newspaper subscription, do not give them payment info! The person on the other end wanted my credit card number to charge my subscription. I already paid for it online and see no reason for someone to call me to collect the payment. Beware of giving out any information to people that call you from this number!

I also received a call from 678-253-0256. No message, but number showed up on caller ID. I just subscribed to the local paper about a week ago. Judging from the last few posts, I believe there is a connection between the news papers and this number.

Same number 678-253-0256 and just subscribed to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.  It bothers me that the newspaper would have something to do with this.  Maybe I will call them and complain.

Same number here...had received calls every night this week, either didn't say anything or received a recorded message.  Tonight the person on the other end was asking about our subscription to the Star Tribune and if it had started.  Wanted our credit card and e-mail info.  If the Star Tribune wants our money or needs to find info, they should be calling us directly!!!!

I started getting these calls to my cellphone after subscribing to the FL Times Union last week... I have a home number, but I give my cell number out for just about everything... the first time I got the call, they left a voicemail asking if I received my newspaper, which I hadn't, but since it was voicemail I couldn't press the appropriate number button... the call back about once a day, I don't answer and they no longer leave any messages...

I am also started getting calls from no 678-253-0256 VERIFCATION FR . I am recently subscription to STAR Tribune . I think from that time only getting this calls. call will come everyday evening but no one speaks..

Have rec'd call x 2. I've read the other posts and oddly enough I also just started to receive my local newspaper. I'm going to call the newspaper customer service department and see what I can find out. I had the same caller ID and no message left.

I too have been getting calls from this number, several times a day, no message.  Although, i have not recently subscribed to anything.  I did call back today and put my number on the DNC list.  We'll see.  If  you do that be sure to stay on the line long enough to confirm your phone number
