I too have recieved calls several times daily -early and late.

Try calling from ANOTHER PHONE NUMBER to 678 253 0256 & a recording will come on stating if you do not want to recieve calls from them, add your number. It will be removed in 2 days from their database.

I subscribed to the Star Tribune at Twins Fest this year - just a little over a week ago now! I haven't even received a bill in the mail yet. If they sold my information or gave it away to someone, I'm going to be a very, very angry person. The worst part is, I'm already on the national DNC list!

I get calls from 803-675-7439 same service "Global Services" when I look it up on Whitepages.com. I think it is a private investigator...she asked for my name and I said this is she and she hung up. I tried to call back and it will ring a acouple times and go to a busy signal. I know this girl is trying to figure me out, so thats why I think its a P.I.-who knows...If its a scam they won't get much from me!

Just wanted to weigh in that I just subscribed to the Star Tribune in Minneapolis last week and this number keeps calling me!

Last week I subscribed to the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper.  Now I've gotten 3 calls from this number.  Always the same recorded message "verification numer 678-253-0256" - I called the number back and got another recorded message which said "to be removed from our call list, please enter your ten-digit number" I did but yet I still get the calls.  Judging from the posts here, these calls are connected with newspaper subscriptions.  I intend to notify the MN Attorney General as well as the local media.  I think this is fraud related so if anyone gets a live person on the phone, do NOT release any of your personal information.

Very odd. I too recently signed up for the Minneapolis Star Tribune and now I am receiving these phone calls.  I'm assuming that they sold my info to someone and that is total BS!!!!  I will be giving them a call to complain.

Subscribed to Minneapolis Star And calls started. I am going to change the number on my account to some unknown number.

Received call from this number.  Have not recently subscribed to any newspapers.  All my numbers are on the DoNotCall list and have been renewed.  I wouldn't be surprised if the political parties are going to be using these spam services for the next few months.

Rings three times.  No message.

I also just signed up for the star tribune at the Mpls Boat Show. Now I get calls from this number at all hours of the day and night. The worst part is that my cell phone provider will not block the number unless I pay 4.99 a month for some special plan. I think I will be calling the star tribune to make a complaint because they seem to have something involved with this.

calls on both my fax line and my regular line, sometimes it is a fax calling, usually no one there.

I also just recently subscribed to the Fl Times Union.  It may be related to that.  However, my number has been registered with the Nat'l Do Not Call registery for a while.  Regardless, no business should call and hang up with no way for them to be identified.  I filed a complaint with the National Registery.  Below is the message you get.  Wouldn't hurt to log your calls as well.

Me too, same number calls several times a day.  I just subscribed to Stat Tribune.  They will be hearing from me.  I am also checking on thier privacy policy.

I just subscribed to Minneapolis Star Tribune a couple of week ago when a kid came around selling the paper for a scholarship... sure enough, first (and only) time I've given out my new cell number.  Now I know that was a mistake.  Star Trib isn't getting anymore business from me if they're selling my info.

I see a theme here. Nightly calls from this number, also a Star Tribune subscriber. I am going to block the number and call the newspaper.

I have answered calls from this number and I either get nothing or an automated message that gives a group of numbers and then disconnects.

I had recently subscribed to the Mpls Star Tribune as others have.  They call again, and again, but never leave a message.  Very annoying!

Another recent Star Tribune subscriber here. I responded to a Star Trib e-mail subscription offer for their Sunday edition about three weeks ago, and have received the phantom call a half dozen times or more. TJ from 8Feb, have you followed through with the AG and local media?

Got a call from this number and just renewed my subscription to the Houston Chronicle.
