I received two calls just today on my cell phone from this number.  Found out it was a Georgia number and looked into it further.  I don't know anyone that far south in the States.  Then, I happened to find this site with absolutely DOZENS of numbers from some sort of collection agency (I'm assuming from the other comments I've read).  No messages left and no idea why they're calling my cell...or even calling me at all for that matter.  Looking further on the list, this number TOPPED the list of the SUSPICIOUS NUMBERS list!!!  What the hell!!  The biggest [***] is that my cell is a PRIVATE, UNLISTED NUMBER!!!!!  I friggin' pay for that option!  (A complaint has already been put through my cell provider and they were also able to tell me that they're not sure how it happened)  I hope to hell these sonofbitches try calling back as they're going to get an ear full about the number of Canadian and United States privacy act violations they've just committed against me.  My number will be changed immediately and if this is a "collection agency", we'll just see how they feel about ME collecting from THEM my costs to do this.  I'd bet anything, they would be hanging up on me too.

678-253-6225 Keeps dialing my phone number and the caller hangs up as soon as I pick up...... Once I find our for sure who these people are, I have the US government sue for “Harassment via a telecommunication device”, which carries a 10,000 dollar fine !

Section # 14.7.1 on Harassment via a telecommunication device, above discusses the Federal Statutory provisions that criminalize obscene and indecent communications. Those same provision include clauses that cover harassing communications.  Some calls can, of course be both.

The Federal Telephone Harassment Statute initially enacted in 1968 imposes criminal liability for interstate, state to state, phoner Anonymous calls with the intent “to annoy, threaten, or harass” OR TO “ repeated or continually RING with the intent to harass”.....

the call is coming in on our home phone at least once/ twice a day. the name is College Connect. would College Connect, Inc. really call people like this?

I am in Canada getting this number calling my (Bell) cell phone. Have no idea who this is.

I received a call from this number.  When I called back it gave me the option to be removed from the call list but after I did that, they called again from the same number.

For the past 3 days, i've been getting calls from this number i'm not familiar with, so I didn't answer. They called again today, and when I finally answered, they hung up witout saying anything. What the hell?

they called my 12 year old daughter's cell phone 3 times so we googled it and found this and called them and added her to the do not call list they said please wait up to 48 hours to be added to the global do not call list.

They keep calling my cell too and when I answer they hang up everytime. They called 3 times today.

I live in San Clemente CA I get the same call. It is One College. When I call it from my lan line they give you the option to remove your cell#. It IS frustrating to get solicitation calls on your cell phone. I hope this helps everyone!

Just found out this number belongs to a company called "College Connection."  I have recently applyed for student loans but used my cell phone as a contact number not my home number.

I was woke up at f#*king 6am with a call from this number, absolutly no reason to be calling at that hour. I have got these calls before and Im through with it. This is [***], my number is private and unlisted as well and this is totally unexceptable.

I got two calls from them today and haven't been in school for 3 years.  I didn't answer and don't plan to, but it is very annoying!

Yeah I got 3 calls within one hour from "college connect" and I answer and I get nothing so annoying!

this number keeps on calling and calling no one is there when you answer I too have a private number how do you turn these idiots in for harrasment?

I just got two phone calls from this exact number within the past 3 hours.  Didn't pick up either time as I didn't recognize the #.  Thanks for the info we're contacting AT&T now to see if they can do anything.

Three times today I got a call from the number mentioned here (678-253-6225) on my cell phone.  It so happens that I have friends and family in Georgia AND its my birthday but still didn't answer since I didn't recognize it.  The calls were @ approx. 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.  The third time I did answer but thought I lost the call but now with what I'm reading I'm thinking its possible they hung up.  When I research it online it comes up unpublished.  Then in posts I've read that its registered to College Connect, College Connection, AND One College.  Well, then in itself lets me know for sure that something isn't right.  ONE # cannot be registered to three different people and companies.  PLUS if its really a company it would not be an unpublished number.  It is OBVIOUSLY some sort of scam or fraud so be careful.  They are seemingly wanting us to do something here but we have no way of knowing what.  And, from what I'm reading, these calls are widespread (outside the US, too) AND they began just 9 days ago on December 10!!  So something is going on!  Don't answer and be careful!  It's that time of year and someone seems to be up to no good!  Good luck!  My hubby, a lawyer, suspects that someone from legitimate things we've done or signed up for has sold our numbers and this is the 'company' who bought them.  That would explain how they're getting private, unpublished numbers...because they've been used for legitimate things.  There is no law against selling that information!  8~[

Called me twice today. I don't answer (I Google the number instead). Curious as it was a Georgia number, not an 800 or 888. Thanks to others for providing information on this number.
