That number called me today.. funny i was looking up where they'er from and i saw this site pop up.. very weird. At first i put it on mute and listen they said my name. after they called again. no idea who it is but its very odd..i wonder how that person got my number to begin with.

did any of you guys enter any photos into an American Baby Photo contest for a chance to win some cash? I did and since then I receive phone calls to my cell from that number...

I it this call and as soon as I answered they hung up idk anyone who lives in Atlanta georiga either and I'm a teen ager and idk why the he'll they would call me, I called back and it went to this collage thingy it was really stupid but apparenty they're calling people from all over the US to possibly see what numbers are active or not. but just ignor the call if they call back

Just called my cell.  I believe this is for the College Connect.  They relentlessly are in pursuit of one's continued higher education.  They will call night and day on numerous occasions and will not give up until you are enrolled and attending one of their schools.  If this is how they pursue their prospects I would hate to be late paying my bill.

i recvd a call from this number as well around 2:14pm. And she knew my name but when i said hello she hung up.

I just got my new phone number 5 days ago and only gave it out to 2 friends so far.  This number has been calling me since yesterday.

Recently changed cell phone numbers due to harassment from former mate's issues.  Now, I'm getting hangup calls from this number?

I got a call from that number, but I live in GA, so the area code seemed like something normal.  They didn't leave a voicemail or anything, I'm really tired of this crap.

The loser asked to speak to Harry Dix.  I hung up immediately.

I've been getting at least 4 calls from this number from my cell a day. I always let my voicemail get the call from this number. They don't leave a message, they just keep on calling until you pick-up.

There are a few people on here who made more sense than others - the person who's husband thinks their information may have been sold, and the other one, entering into a contest.  This is the cost of some 'free' things on the internet.  If you take one of those IQ surveys, or you need to take a survey to get something free, or access to games, most likely the way they got your number is...  from you - you may have forgotten.  For the others, it is possible that when people fill out these surveys to get free things, they put in made up information.  I seriously doubt that College Connect is actively seeking us out, when so many of us are out of college and don't have any college aged children.  Either they bought the list, or someone gave it to them.  Solutions to this issue are to block the number, call the number, or ignore the number.  I would call personally, and write it down on a calendar or date book so I remember - believe it or not, this actually does work, and then continue to see if it happens.  What you need to do, so they don't get another number, or see that their call blitz paid off with you, is to dial *67 before the 1-678-253-6225.  This will initiate caller id block on a individual call basis.  If you try it, and it gives you a fast busy signal, or the call will not go through, you may not have that option on your cell/home phone.  I view the real culprit here, not the College Connection People, but the company who sold the list (if it was sold).  Just like with the Supermarket Club Cards.  Those monitor our shopping habits, what we buy, when, how often, etc. and then they turn around and sell those lists as well.  I am not saying it is a conspiracy, but it does happen, and we need to make sure we are targeting the correct person at the source of the problem - the list seller.

It seems like everyone else, I'm also getting calls from this number twice. They called me early in the morning and proceeded another call later in the afternoon.

I just got a call from this number today. (7pm, PST) I'm in Los Angeles. This is actually the 5th time they called and hence I googled the number. (I picked up both times and they hung up). Very irritating. So I called them up & found out that they're "http://onecollegeconnection.com/".
