Phone may ring once then they hang up. Today had a call stating I was entitled to a $100.00 gift card for having visited their web site.

Mr. Number app will block the call, hang up on them before they hang up on you!

Called me as well offering $100 card and a coupon book. Some spanish woman. Asked for my name and credit card for shipping and handling.

if you're on the DNC list that's only for 800 numbers but since these are "local" number they can still get through

It allows people to share their experience, confirm their fears, and then figure out how to block these calls before they ring by setting up your phone system through the handset (some digital phones) or the internet (some phone companies)

call comes in every 15 mins to my blocked caller list on my cell phone. never leaves a message.

From the series of responses, here, they do not appear to want you to answer.  The purpose of the robo-dialer is to make you believe you've missed a call and then return it, thus accepting the charges for their pitch.

My recommendation is to block all calls from this number.

[Standard SCAM. If you want to get back at them, apparently the phone rep's AREN'T ALLOWED TO HANG UP ON YOU, A "CUSTOMER". So you can waste their time, string them along with ridiculous fake info, then tell them it's fake to their face, ask why they don't hang up on you, etc, and waste their time as long as it's entertaining to you, they can't hang up on you, and they can't cheat anyone else in the mean time]

Called me 10-1-13, left msg saying I'd won $100 gift card from Walmart. Obviously a scam, but I was bored, so I called back, making up a ridiculous fake name, fake address, saying I "couldn't hear that, could he please repeat that?" for every other sentence he said, saying "Gosh, I can't believe I won!! That's too good to be true!! You'd almost think it wasn't for real!", telling him one address number, then when he stated it back to check, correcting it to a slightly different number, then correcting him again when he read back that one, and going back to the original, etc.

Claims to be in Florida & part of "Creative Solutions Inc", which I believe is a robo-calling company.

I couldn't believe he seemingly hadn't clued in that I was not a legit prospect (ie. sucker), so I started directly telling him I was looking at a web site where there were 10 pages of complaints about this phone number, asking what country he was in, asking if he was paid hourly (he said yes), telling him it was really too bad that he needed a job so badly that he had to work for a company that cheats people, etc. Yet, he kept doggedly talking to me, claiming "that's not our company!", repeatedly saying "this call is being recorded" (yeah, so?), acting oblivious to me obviously messing around with him.

I couldn't understand why he wasn't hanging up (even after I progressed to actually telling him I'd given a fake name, I knew the the gift card was a scam, and literally said I was just talking to waste his time so he had "less time to call and cheat other people". To which he started saying "then why don't you just hang up maam?"

Finally, I asked him why *he* wasn't hanging up on me, even after I was telling him I knew it was a scam, and somewhat hilariously, he let slip that he WASN'T ALLOWED TO HANG UP ON A CUSTOMER" (!!) . He actually told me that.

So I started saying, "no, I"m not going to hang up, I want to waste your time so you can't cheat other people", or going silent for 10 seconds or so while he said "maam? maam?" then just before he could justify saying he thought I'd hung up on him, I'd say "no, I'm still here, you're not allowed to hang up on me" (as I web surfed and checked my email). A few times he started talking randomly, trying to sound like the other end of a conversation with a real prospect, so I laughed and said "your boss just walked by, right? So you're trying to sound like you're having a successful call instead of talking with someone calling you a scammer, right?". (From his reaction, I think I hit the nail on the head).

Eventually he did find some excuse to hang up on me, but I wasted 20 minutes of his time, and had the satisfying feeling of getting back at one of these scammers, at least a little bit.

Recording picked up said, this is Julie with Reward Redemption.  I never give my number out or enter those spam contests, completely bogus!

who calls, getting to be all the time. I call back and left a message that this was a private # for a police office from a police department.. still getting the same call. guess well turn it over to the D/A  Office and if we can get there attention that way. my even ask for a Jane or John Doe warrant for who ever it belongs to . if they get pick up and sent to another state for trial , ? that might get a few people attention, ya think .............................................

STOP CALLING ME

Missed a call from this number. When I called back I got a message telling me to call back during normal business hours and they would be happy to assist me. No business name. No way to leave a message. No listing of business hours. No options.

same here. they call then hang up. now that has to be harassment.

Rang on my cell phone twice then disconnected.

Did not leave message.  Must not be important

Has called my cell numerous times in last 2 or 3 months. I never answer it & no messges left.
