I just googled the national DNC registry and it says do to the Goverment shut down the site is temporarily out of service , so does that mean all numbers are fair game for the time being ??

I received  two calls from this telephone number & want to report it as a scam. I also want to make sure it stops calling me.

called back and the recording said: "Hi, this is Julie and you were contacted because you visited one of our website.  You are qualified for a $100 rebate gift card."  Wanting to call another number to redeem and get more info for the rebate card. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

called and hung up before i could answer its my first in a while

Got the same thing on my cell phone - brief ring, then disconnected - shows as a missed call.  Not calling back.  

Called my cell - one ring then hung up.

This is a rebate/rewards program. At some point the recipient of this robocall entered personal information while visiting (possibly ordering from)  an "affiliate website", that is a website with whom this entity has a business relationship and which you, the phone user approved of by placing some order or by agreeing to use some website recently.  When we overlook the fine print so we can just "do what we want to do" this is the sort of nonsense which usually ensues. This is how we give up our privacy to corporate and not-so-corporate America.

Calls my cell phone, twice in a row, but hangs up before the last ring ends.  I know know one from this area code.

They call my cell and hang up after one ring.

Keep getting missed calls from this number but my phone doesn't ring for it.

Just like everyone else called my cell phone and didn't leave a message.

Called my husband's cell.  It rang once & they hung up.  Upon call back got a recorded message: "Welcome to the Reward Redemption Center" etc.  Promised a $100 reward card, press 1 to accept or 2 to be added to the do-not-call list.  Pressed 1 just for the hell of it, was put on hold to wait for an agent.  That's when I hung up.  

Got a call no message left. Seems to be spam

3233477663 is the new version of the scam. Use Google Voice. Forward your calls to Google Voice. Mark scammers as spam and they get a recording saying your number is not in service.

I use Google Voice. You can port your existing number to Google Voice and get a fresh number for you current phone. Once you verify it's someone you don't want to talk to then:

1.Sign into Google Voice.
2.Search for your contact’s name in the search field at the top of the window, and when it appears, click the contact’s name.
3.Click Edit Settings and select the second radio button under the 'When this contact calls you:' section, next to the drop-down menu.
4.Choose Block the caller option listed above from the drop-down menu. Now the caller will hear a 'Number not in service' message when calling your Google number. None of your forwarding phones will ring. The call will be marked as 'Blocked' under 'History' and 'Missed.'

Close, If you've marked a call or voicemail as spam on the Google Voice website, any future calls from the caller will be sent to your VOICEMAIL, and your phones won't ring. The voicemail will be automatically placed in the Spam folder. Just find the call or voicemail from the caller, select the checkbox next to the call or voicemail, and click the Report Spam button.

Instead of porting your number to aa Google voice number then you can also get a GoogleVoice number and just forward all of your calls to the Google Voice Number until the junk calls stop. But then again there is always callers you want to stop.
