I just  received a collect from 1-702-2829 from a detention centre.  Unfortunately,  I 'm broke  and cannot afford a collect call.

Its not a collect call its is prepaid by the inmate...just listen they say their name and doesnt cost you anything..may be someone you know or may not but you lose nothing by pressing 1 and finding out...or dont and theyll just call a hundred times not knowin its the wrong number...jus sayin

So I'm just seeing your messages from 2 years ago because I just got a call and was seeing who it was on internet so if yall have figured out its not anyone u wanna ever talk to then all you have to do is block the number on your phone. Sure you already figured that out but my thing is why are they calling at 1:45 in the morning if it's jail aren't they suppose to be in their cells with lights out ? Just Sayin

I receive calls everyday from this number.
When I call back to the number to ask them stop call me, a guy said they need my first name, last name and etc. When I refuse to give my personal info, he said they can not put my phone number to the block list. What I can do?

Yes, it's not cost your money, but you will leave your name (and maybe something else), which combine your phone number would be very valuable personal information.
I called back one time, have been asked my first name, last name...I refused though I expect receive more and more scam calls.

Jaye, it is from an inmate, I was locked up many years ago (I have kept a perfect record since) and when we got bored we would call random numbers in the hope that someone would answer. Sometimes just talking to anyone helps, even if it is a total stranger.

I keep getting a call from this number. I do not know this person.

My husband hads tried to call I put money in the machine in the jail at Knox county my but he can't

I got a call from this number and couldn't accept because it was a "collect call" to my cell phone and I do not have a credit card to set up an account.  Caller was actually in TN, but call originated from Nevada because that is the company that sets up the prepaid account for the phone calls.

I gtta call frm the same number early this morning..i was concerned,i thght it was a family member..it bothered me so i googled that number amd sure enough i got an answer you guys...Thankx,i was wondering.
