They are now using the number 866-489-4016 also. I have had my number for two days and got the same message as everyone else about some supposed debt but no company name or info.

this was a missed call on my cell so i googled the number. I don't understand why any of you don't just answer the calls? I mean, really.

Some female called and all she said was Hello.
Nothing else. Left no message.

I too, keep getting calls from that 713 number and they never leave messages and it happened 3 times today within an hour or hour and 1/2.  It is really annoying.  I only answer calls if I recognize the number on my caller ID.  I know my credit is fine too. People have no right harassing anyone like this.  It is so easy for people to pretend to be someone over the phone.  They could be calling from a pay phone for all we know. I wonder if I can block their number.

My uncle suspects someone of calling his phone from this number and we would like to know who it is.

The call came in around 4:00 pm est.  went as follows
"Hello Ms. S,
This is ?? from HSBC credit card I am calling to verify or activate your card.
What are the last 4 digits of your SS card.  You are D-S (not my middle initial) from 4071 Bell Road (not my address).  Ma'am I'm just trying to verify ??".  I told her no she wasn't she was trying to do something fraudulent and hung up.  I called HSBC credit and asked them to check if someone had opened an acct in my name (no).  Then I called 3 credit reporting agencies to place immediate security alerts on my credit.

Got a call from this number again saying I need to call back because they are debt collectors and need to speak to me immediately.  I never answer when they call.  But I am getting tired of listening to their messages.  I don't have debt and do not owe anyone money.

They call starting from around 8:30 am (cst) and finally stop calling around 8:30 pm (cst) most times there is no message, once in a while someone will say hello two or three times then hang up.  Last time the message began with my name and the term "this message is in accordance with federal law" then they stopped (sounded like they hung up).  I am not in any debt that would require a collection agency much less one that never gives their name not to mention they want me to return their call to a different number than they called from.  Looks like I will be calling the Federal Trade Commission as well as the FCC.

These people call all the time and do not leave a message.  Today they call, hang up call back, hang up, call back.  I have had to turn off my message machine and mute the ringer on my phone.  These people are driving me crazy and I have no idea what they want or who they are as they never leave a message.  They just stay on long enough for the answering machine to pick up and then they hang up.  How can this be legal?

Same thing happens to me, too.  They are "phishing" your phone with the constent calls.  With this type of dialing service, they will call until someone answers and a note is made in the system regarding the time of day you answered.  This is used for when "real" people from their company try to contact you, they will, in turn, call you during the times you answered.

Best advice, don't answer.  They can't log it if no one picks up.

When you get a call from this number then it is because you either owe some money to a creditor that you haven't paid back or someone else who isn't paying their bills used to have your number or live at your address. The fastest way to solve the problem is to pick up the phone and call them to let them know they have the wrong number/person or to pay your creditors back. Blogging about it will not solve your problem In the time it takes to write a note on here you could have called the number and resolved the issue once and for all. If you don't call and tell them that they have the wrong number then they just assume you are hiding from them.

They call constantly leave a number to call and thats it, do not have a clue what it is for.

Called me two times today regarding some debt collection, but i don't have any debt, i don't have any credit cards, i don't have any bank accounts, and i have never purchased anything major.

Have been receiving calls day and night on my company cell phone.   Have no idea how they got this number.   They are not leaving any messages.   I am not behind on any payments.

I received the same thing. Best thing to do is not answer and file a complaint to the FCC online at http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

I receive at least 3 phone calls a day from this number and it's frustating! I have no idea who they are or what they want. I have to say that this MUST stop! Specially when is no debt! Please somebody do something about this!
