recording from a "inmate" (unidentified)

This number called me and I didn't like it.

This number is used by a certain call provider to inmates of at least MCI Framingham for collect calls only. It does NOT accept incoming calls which sucks because the call you do getr is 99% not a good com\nnection. For ywenty five dollars and 3 minutes I tried to hear my daughter talk to me and heard one word and a bunch of static so bad I could not make out anything else. There was also a constant ding  with the static. Not worth the cost...dont accept from a cell phone. I do not have a house phone so I could not use anything but my cell anyway since it MUST be collect and outsiders cannot call inmates.

my mom is in prison and she calls fom this number. If someone keeps calling from this number, you might wont to answer it, it could be improtant,if it's not important, then atleast they will stop calling if it's not who they want to talk to.

what the hell 2 calls on Thanksgiving from 713-574-1101. Same story collect call from inmate. Took option to get rates. Then csall disconnected. Could be a terrorist scam. Send um all back to the dessert!!!!!!!

I got a call today from this number saying it was an inmate from some correctional facility. The guy knew my name and it really freaked me out, but after looking here I can't tell if it is actually an inmate from a correctional facility or a scam. Has anyone checked their phone bills since they have received these calls?

I am now getting calls from 713-574-1101. Am I correct to hear  that this is just a routing number for Inmates from anywhere in the world??? So do we make a complaint to the Attorney General's Office of the state we reside to end this? This is what I am doing 9am Monday morning!!!

Tormented really grow up this is a number from RCCC it's called jail you all know someone in jail or the ones that are scared probably snitched on someone or their kids know someone in jail it's not that serious. People get a grip.... Ignore the call if you're scared.

" Collect call from a correctional Institution, subject to monitoring...". I hung up, waited 15 seconds, picked up, and the recording (recording?) was still playing. After 15 seconds, picked up, still playing . After a minute, dial tone.This on Mar 5th. However , it has been happening several times/month, twice on one day recently. Call was from Harris County, Tx., unknown number. If this continues, I will have to resort to unacceptable language.

as some other people have said before, it is a number that they use to route calls from state prisons. My friend calls me from SCI Forest in PA. it is a recording that said please accept a call from; and then the inmate can record their name or something in a 5 second blurb. if u accept you have to press a certain number.
i am not positive, but i believe he has to add you to his call list a few weeks in advance... but i could be wrong.

my girlfriend is being kept over night for DUI and is Ventura, CA and this number came up. routing number so you can't call the prisoner's phone yourself. to all the people who can't read 7 pages of comments saying it is a routing number.... all i have to say to you is.

it's a call from a correctional institution. they all use prepaid or collect calls and it's just the number that shows on the caller ID. whoever said they hafta add your number to their list is correct, so chances are it's someone you know. it's no scam, and if you don't want to be called wait till the lady goes through her recording and it gives you an option to decline all future calls.

i wasnt able to except the call cuz it came in on my cell. Think its my husband i havent heard from him in about a month...How can u find out where they are??
