These people call my cell phone repeatedly.  It is an unknown answer so I don't pick it up. I'm tired of it.  My phone is for my use, not unknown callers to harrass me.

We've been getting calls over several months.  We may go a couple of weeks without getting one and then we'll start getting them several times a day.  Same story everyone else has -- there's never anyone there if you answer.  My husband called the BBB and never got any response from them.  Today, I tried calling the Mercantile Adjustment Bureau in the previous comments.  Here's hoping to never hear from them again!

I got a call last from this number 716 817-6409 when I tried to call it back it was busy.

For the past 2 nights 12/3/07 and 12/4/07 I have received phones calls from the following number 716-817-6409,and guess what it has been the same time both nights 7:31 PM,  when I call back they say all circuits are busy and when I will call again the number is busy.  I am on the do not call phone list and the only people who should be calling me are strictly family and friends.

I received a call from 716-817-6409 around 10:30 am on Wednesday, 5-Dec-2007.  They didn't leave a message.  When I tried to call back, just got the "fast busy" signal, that usually indicates an out-of-order line. This is annoying !

I started getting calls from this number about 2 months ago. The calls would come every day at midmorning or evening for about a week then stop. They'd start up again after about a week. I find them irritating. Since I don't know the number I delete the mssgs. I did try calling once or twice and got an automated voice asking me to please hold...I thought forget that. Well now I've gotten a letter from Mercantile stating that I owe Sears some money on an account that I paid off over 2 years ago.

I ANSWER THE PHONE AND IT GOES DEAD

I just got my phone for Christmas - a prepaid phone, and today I received a voicemail from this number.  The message was mostly cut off, and I only heard the last part which told me to call back.  Obviously this call is not for me, since none of my personal information isn't even attached to this number, and I just received the phone a few days ago.  I suspect the number belonged to someone else and they're still receiving bill collectors at this number.

Same here I am registered w/ donut call but it gets through. I'll throttle the f'er if I get my hands on them.

I called the 1-800-836-0592(choose option 3#) I spoke to a rep and they are looking for a Maria? whoever had my cell # gave that # knowing they had a new #
the lady was very nice and I asked if they would please take my # out of their system. Call that # I called, if they call again I won't be so nice, good luck

I used the toll-free number in this info, pressed "0" when I got to the menu and I spoke to a person.  They were looking for the person who had my phone number before me.  She put a note on my number and "sent it up" to be removed.  Thanks to those who dug around and found the info!

Really bad people. keep calling me for nothing.

I just got this phone last week, and I am already getting phone calls from this bogus number.

GETTING REALLY ANNOYING....MY MESSAGE ALWAYS SAYS THEY ARE CALLING FROM MERCANTILE AND THAT IT IS NOT A SALES CALL!!!!! I HAVE KNOW IDEA WHAT MERCANTILE IS!

I keep getting a call from this same number with a recording to call Mr. Sherman about resurgent capital...

Like others, this number had called me repeatedly over time, but until today, the message never left a clear call back number.  Like someone else has mentioned, the call back number left today was 1-800-466-5259.  Operator answered right away, asked my number, then asked if I was Sylvia Clayton, which I am not.  Operator said immediately that she would delete my number.  Hopefully that's the end of it.

I went to the website for MAB listed on a previous response.  I called the number listed 800) 836-0592, pressed 3 on the options menu to speak with a real person.  I just gave him my number and it turned out they were trying to reach someone else.  He removed my number from the file immediately and thanked me for calling to let them know.  It only took a minute, which is worth avoiding the pestering phone calls.

Called their toll-free number, sat on hold 10 min.  Spoke to a Ms. Hornvey- who claims to have removed me from their list.  She wouldn't explain why I was on the list in the first place.

My legal dept. and their's is going to have a fun time in the morning

I got call from this # a couple of time with no one when i pick. Today I just got another call & was asked to call back 800 466 5259. They were look for someone else they said my # will be taken off the list.

Hope i'll not get the call again.

Someone from this number has called me several times this month and last month, and leaves pre recorded voicemails, I just got this number last month and they started almost immediately and just like a lot of people are saying here, they dont stop calling.
