- That Girl in the Bronx replies to College GraduateI just got off the phone with Odalis and offered to call her back as I was a little busy at the moment. Then I came to research "The Pappas Group" as well as the number. Let's just say, something didn't sit right with me.
My field is not the kind of field that gets heavily recruited. I'm not a scientist, lawyer, or health care professional. I do customer service and I majored in English. Puh-leeze.
So I figured it was going to be sales. Whether door to door or telemarketing, I'm not a saleswoman.
Glad I didn't bother to waste my time. - NeliGot a call from 718-663-8152, another one to watch out for no doubt because it was NILICO again. I can't believe this has been happening to people for over 2 years, that in itself is saying something if they're still recruiting people for the same "management" positions.
If you're in sales, want to work hard etc, probably look into it a little more, but I've never sold anything in my life and I don't want to!
Thank you all so much for posting your comments, I won't be going to the interview tomorrow either.- Caller: NILICO
- Lunn replies to NILICO AgentHow much money did you have to invest before you were hired? Do you work night and weekends? Do you get Christmas bonuses? 401K? Pension benefits? Are you making at least $900 a week?
- B. JosephI'm tired of this company trying to con people out of little ressources they have. something need to be done. reprting tem to the FCC.

- Nauti replies to Ruby WebbI received a call today from718-888-9862. The girls name is Brittany. She said that she wanted to set up an interview with me on Saturday at 11:15. She claimed to have gotten my resume from careerbuilder. I thought something wasn't right when you are trying to set up an interview for Saturday!? Are you serious?? Thanks to everyones posting because I will not be going..
- ChrisI just wanted to thank everyone that posted a comment on this site. It really helped. They had called me also with the same line finding my resume on Monster.com. It sounded fishy due to the fact that I was once a victim of going to those interviews and listening to a presentation which ended with a price tag for a license. This site confirmed my assumption, so thank everyone again. Rough times, and people still want to take advantage of you. Shame.

- NeLNilico is an absolute scam ! They are run by that FAT GREEK CON ARTIST THEO PAPPAS . He shortened his name , and last name so proper complaints cannot be filed against him . I attended there BS interview 6 weeks ago . I was interviewed by one person , then i was put in one big room filled with other people just like me about to get lied to LMAO . They promise you the WORLD at these meetings , and the salary is BS . As soon as they started talking $$$ , the first thing that popped into my head was Bernie Maddof or the Ponzzie skeem . It was just so wierd and unrealistic what they were promising and saying . After reading everyone else's post here about NILICO , im happy sites like these are up to help inform the good people that , the world is a cruel place , and this company which is located right next to the DMV , on the Whitestone Expressway is filled with nasty con artist ready to take you for your time , $$$ , and whatever else your willing to give them !

- mishathey call you and you have to go through three interviews. if u are a salesperson type maybe u should invest and if ur not definitely don't. anyway u have to pay $300 for prelicensing class, which is one week and a half. then u have to pay $ 45 to schedule a test. THE TEST IS DIFFICULT. MOST PEOPLE DO NOT PASS IT FIRST TIME. YOU HAVE PAY $ 45 for each time u take the test. after u pass the test, u have to be in class for TWO WHOLE WEEKS. AND THIS IS ALL NONPAID. AND U HAVE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $85 for the LICENSE ITSELF. YOU HAVE TO MEMORIZE A 9 PAGE SCRIPT. WORD FOR WORD. Then they do a video. YOUR VIDEO HAS TO BE PERFECT. MOST PEOPLE DON"T PASS THEIR VIDEO THE FIRST TIME. I'VE HEARD PEOPLE WHO TOOK THE VIDEO 5 to 6 times but still didn't pass. the whole video process taken at least 1 month to pass on average. so that is another whole month without any income. it could be longer than a month.
you are in the office for 2 whole days of the week. NONPAID. making phone calls to set up your appointments. only around 10% of the phone calls are maybe successfull. when u go to the field, u have like 5 or 6 appointments a day if ur a hardworker. out of 5 or 6 u will be lucky if u get two businesses. and each presentations takes on avearge an hour or more and ur not even sure if it will make u money or u just wasted ur time.- Caller: nilico
- Cookie replies to Ex-workerI just got a call, looked them up right away, I found your complaints & messages, very helpfull. Thank you. When they called though, they said, that they belonged to a policy that I had with my union/ job. I think, that is very unlawfull for ppl to do, wat they are doing. They are invading in ppl's privacy. They areasking to come to your home & all. Somebody should be reporting these ppl, as I will as soon as I finish with this msg....
- Kellnick| 3 repliesHello ppl
I too have an interview tomorrow at the Flushing location. I saw the ad on craigslist. they said they were hiring for mgmt positions as well as office cust service positions for their new office. the guy emailed me at 9pm the next day after I sent my resume for the office position. I had a feeling it had to do w sales but I also figured they needed office ppl too, so it was ok. but after looking at these posts i dont think i will be going. i attended something similar to this at Priamerica, and Vector marketing- selling those stupid knives. but i was alot younger and more naive back then. Im 28 now and a lil more aware of these con artists. its sad these ppl are actually taking advantage of poor hard working innocent ppl who need to make a living to support their families. thanks again u guys yall were a big help. - Loretta replies to Kellnick| 2 repliesI got a call today from this company, a man name Barry set me up with a interview on Wed Oct 5th but after reading all the post that is on here I will not be going to the interview. I want to thank all of the people for their comments. The people that said that they work for them and doing well, that is because you have the money to waste and like dealing with the BS and the scams, and your like taking people for their hard earn money that they need.

- happy replies to Cristina Roscoethis is a hr dept office in lic, they are a agency for ail/nilico. a very large insurance compony that has been rated a+ superior for more than 50 years.

I suggest that anyone looking for a carrer with any compony go and gather information themselves first party. go to the interview and find out. how would you feel if some unfounded idiotic post stoped you from getting your job
the website is www.nilife.com
i went to the interview its a good opprotunity. - amyI actually have an interview set up with this company from an ad response from Craiglist. My interview is tomorrow... I started to get alittle suspicious though, because the email from Keturah Malaykhan, simply said HR... no company name... since this is a management position that promises 50,000-100,00 the first year, I set up the interview...
Then I get another email from "Mark Director HR Direct Line:877-317-2111"
Again, NO COMPANY NAME! Also in the email, it states:
"We will be interviewing for positions within our three New York Metro offices. Please do not be taken back by the number of candidates who may be waiting for their interview as well.
Your interview will be done on a one to one basis with a mid-level manager. If all goes well you will be invited back for a 2nd interview with one of our Regional Directors."
I just called the company line on the email: 718-888-9862 - the voicemail says Nilico... so I do a google search and find this!!!
I don't think I'm going on this interview tomorrow. It sucks because I need a real job... these fly by night, scammer operations really add alot of aggravation. No way am I dressing up in a suit to go way out to queens...- Caller: Nilico
