You guys are bunch of low life looser, scam.  The only scam is you,  take your money, research the company on real sites, not where a bunch lazy ass with nothing else to do,. I been with the company  just over 10 months I been successful at it.  Don't act on someone else's experience,  they provide you with all research u need to do before asking you to  commit,
And for the idiot that's was in training, I'm sure u didn't last.  Work and train from home, you most likely working at 99 cent city now.

Bottom line, if you have the will to put in the time and effort and you are coachable, you will enjoy and be successful in this career, if you are looking for a 9. To 5.  Job.  This isn't for you,
You see I rather work now and put in the hours,  so I don't have to tomorrow.

This company seems to be getting sneaky because I received a call from them today, asking if I would be interested in a management position as well, they said they found my resume on monsters.com but the # was different, 718-607-1267, i looked it up on reverse directory and it is a cell phone number. i appreciate everyone taking the time to post the experience they had, I do not have the time to waste going to queens for a interview that is a scam. So many negative sites I found about this company, soooo happy I looked it up :)

    Where’s the integrity
Who ever think this is not a scam is an idiot. They call you from HR advising they have several office opportunities such a Management to get you in the door and shove a whole lot of BS in your heads on sales and completing courses to get paid. Wake up people. To those of you who work there great kudos to you an the BS INS your selling. I have been in the insurance field for 7 years and have a NYS adjuster License. But I will not agree to sell INS to people for a company who has no integrity and feels its ok to lie and mislead people in order for them to work there. There are a lot of legitimate companies who advertise INS sales positions without this diversion or distraction. It just makes you wonder if you are really selling INS or a bunch of the same BS that brought you to this company and helping this company take money from innocent people.

PS - to those workers employed by this company I hope you didn’t sell any insurance to your friends and family and if you did your as shady and money hungry as the company and should be ashamed of yourself for assisting the company with this scam.

Mr. Bratin, you can sit on your high horse and brag all you want about Nilico but be honest with yourself - what people have posted on the net about Nilico is nothing but the truth - the whole truth. You are only covering up for Nilico because of course that is what you are paid to do. That makes sense doesn't it?

I got a phone call today from 718-888-9862.  The woman on the phone identified herself as Joanna Dumas.  She said she saw my resume on Career Builder.  She said she was calling from Theodore Pappas Agency, a division of a 500 Fortune Company named Torchmark Corporation. She asked what I did in my current job.  I explained to her my main job duties and she said she wanted to schedule me for an interview tomorrow at 6:00 pm for a managerial position in a new office they are about to open in New Rochelle (I live in Westchester.)  The address she gave me was 30-50 Whitestone Parkway, Room 201, 2nd Fl. Flushing, NY 11354. She said the entrance was from the back of the building and that it was located next to a DMV office and a movie theater.  I got suspicious since she would not ask me more questions about my work experience and seemed not to know much about me although she supposedly had my resume.  I researched this company online.  They do have a website connected to NILICO but I also found this website and others reporting this is scam.  I don't know if it is a scam, but after reading that what they want you to do is pay $500 for training that is worth less than $300 and then they want you to sell insurance, I realized this is not for me.  I guess they try to get people in need of a job to fall for this but they cannot really promise a job....  They do mass recruiting to get a few to fall in the trap. Out of courtesy, I called to cancel my appointment.  I left a message in this woman's voicemail.  She left her cell phone number 917-862-0663.  I said I will not be going after everything I have read.

They called me asking me to come in for an interview, I had no idea who the hell they were, but I just kind of went. It's not like There were any other lucrative job offers for a 54 year old laid off bridge painter at the time. I walked in, and saw like 50 other people there. I was about to turn around, and walk out, but I saw this guy leaving the office, discussing some business with apparently a new employee, and it sounded genuine enough, so I stayed. I met with some kid, who was about as old as my youngest son, then i was hurried into a big room, where this other adolescent begins lecturing us on the concepts of success, this was a major turn off. There is a section where they say who ever is not interested in being considered for a position can leave now, I stood up grabbed my things and headed for the door, I was then approached by one of the head managers (the only one in the who place with some true age on their face). He told me dont let the environment fool you, this is a serious company, with very serious, and hard work. I sat back down, and finished out the orientation. I know lots of you are turned off by the process, of them offering you an interview, because it seems too easy, or too good  to be true, but trust me getting the job is not easy at all, and there is a lot of work, there is no scam, there is room for advancement, but you have to work your you know what off to get it. I left the company, after about 8 months, because I was able to get my job back as a bridge painter, I made some very good money with national income, and was able to keepy family afloat because of it. I have nothing but positive things to say about the company, and the opportunity. Of course having someone half my age evaluate my performance, giving me orders was something I had to get used to, but it was an opportunity that came at a time when no one was was offering one. A little advise to some of the higher us though: tone down the theatrics, and revise the hiring process, it can turn away some very qualified, and serious people.
