I almost fell for this. They were not rude, answered all of my questions. Told me he (Scott Reid) would call me back after I had time to to some research because I was skeptical. Glad I found this site before giving them my info!

Called twice today, automated voice saying lower interest rate.

I have received calls for months now from this number.  I decided for the first time to press 1.  I went along with her for about 5 minutes then told her that I was done wasting her time and would like her to remove my number from their list...she called me a [***] and hung up.  I have never laughed so hard.  I think I might have some fun next time as well!  I also can't understand how no one has shut them down yet?

I waste their time now. I press "1" and when someone answers and says "you pressed 1 to lower your credit rate" I say "no I pressed one to tell you to #$$#%%". Then I proceed to call their  1-888 and ask them how the weather is etc. until they get pissed and hang up. I do this 9-10 times a night...then I go to their website and send them emails through their online contact form. The emails are always signed by: Uar Amoron (You are a Moron)

This doesn't take a lot of time and figure that I tie them up for a while...

I hung up before talking to a live person.  They're offering lower rates, clearly a scam.  Then I found this site and realized I made a mistake.  Next time they call I'm getting a 1-800 number to call back so I can harass them all day long.  I'm unemployed right now so I have a lot of free time on my hands.

Here's a technique I use with these and other telemarketers. and it seems to work.  But you have to be willing to tie up your phone for a bit.  As soon as I see one of these on my call display, I answer on the first or second ring, and then immediately press the HOLD button.  If you don't have a HOLD button, just put the phone down, do not hang up.  Apparently the autodialers they use do not release the line after the agent hangs up.  I just keep it on hold until the line drops for some reason or I need the phone.  I've had some of these idiots on hold for up to 2 hours.  In most cases the line drops after about half an hour to 45 minutes.  

I think this ties up one line on their autodialer, and probably runs up a significant long distance bill as well, unless they are bypassing the phone charges.  Every time I've tried this with any telemarketers they have stopped calling my number after 2 or 3 attempts.

Make an email address on any free email site such as gmail or yahoo and email their contact email which presently is save@mgaaservices.com along with a number of huge file attachments such as jpgs or gifs - any will do so long as they are large files.  This will in the very least irritate them but will also waste their bandwidth and should incur charges.

1-720-377-9293 is World Class Savings also known as Credit Savers. They are an American company therefor they do not need to abide to the Canadian "National do not call list". I called the R.C.M.P's Phone Busters hot line (witch is 1-888-495-8501) to file a complaint, they said they are aware of the company and are NOT willing to do anything about them.
    Get this clear, 1-720-377-9293 will tell you they can lower your credit interest. They can NOT. They will charge you $700 to your account (if given the opportunity) and send you "money saving techniques" pamphlets. It is a scam.
    I did some research and found their other number, it is 1-888-878-1014. Calling them 50 times a day is harassment, but them calling you once after being told not to is also. You can do what you want, but I'll be calling them back again, and again, and again....

Im gonna keep harrassing the s**t outa them, every one that recieves these calls should too, maybe they will get the hint

I received a call from MGA Accelerated Services Ltd. today and when I asked to be removed from the calling list, the agent (Anthony) directly refused to remove me from the list. So I told him where he could go, hung up, and did some research. Here is what I found. The registered agent for the corporation is Alexander (Alex) Dent (Paige Dent is the president). His phone number is 404-345-0117. I called him and he was very pleasant to talk to. I informed him that I am on a do not call list in Canada and that I should not be called. He was surprised to hear this. He offered to look into the issue and told me that I can call him any time if this issue reoccurs. You can verify the above contact information by googling "sunbiz florida" to find the Florida Division of Corporations Website. From there you can look up their corporation name (Do a document search for the corporations). The most recent information can be found in the "Amendment Document" which was filed on 2/23/2009.

Get calls from this number several times a day sometimes. We're in Nova Scotia.

I have our fax machine on a timer that shuts it off after business hours and I can generally stop 99% of spam faxes before they can print when we are in the office. We used to be listed on the do not call list but I had all of our numbers removed after hearing a couple of talk radio shows telling how the spammers can actually buy the DNCL by claiming to be legitimate marketers, and thereby verifying active numbers from the list. Several people called in to complain that they were receiving MORE spam after applying to be put on the list!! The DNCL does NOT APPLY to registered charities and some other types of spam calls/faxes, and companies based in the USA do not have to abide by Canadian laws unless they are spamming on behalf of a Canadian company.

Spammers and crooks don't give a rat's rump about laws, and the DNCL is a complete waste of time unless you want MORE spam. Take matters into your own hands and use your brains to outsmart the spammers and make their lives miserable. Government agencies won't help you, they just want your tax money but do nothing for you.

The owner of 1-720-377-9293 is Vitelity LLC.  I searched this company at Google and there is a Vitelity LLC (not Vitality LLC) company.  Their web address is http://www.vitelity.com/.  I am confident this is the company because their local phone number is 1-720-257-5400.  Their toll free number is 1-888-89-VITEL(84835) and their e-mail address is support@vitelity.com.  It is interesting that the website does not give an address.  If this is the same company trying to sell you some garbage about lowering your interest rates, it is time to take action!

they called me twice this morning, the second time I answered there was no sound at all and then they hung up without saying anything.  VERY annoying to say the least, and I don't even HAVE a credit card for crying out loud!!

Update.After filing a complaint with the Florida Consumer Services the calls have stopped cold turkey!!I received a letter from the department along with a letter from MGA services with an apology for any problems they have caused and my number has been added to their DNC and no more calls will be received from them or any of their outsourced companies.I strongly suggest that everyone contacts the Forida Consumer Services Department here http://www.800helpfla.com/complnt.html. We had a call todayin Ontario, Canada, telling us they could lower our credit card interest rate, mans name was Chris Messer who said a Brenda McQuency would call tomorrow to set things up - cost was US$749.00 Two numbers were used: first one from 202-4957170, second was 720-204-1286,

Reading this [***] actually makes me laugh. Were a Scam?? really, why dont u tell that to the thousands of Canadians and Americans we help on a daily basis. Let them tell you how we were able to save them 50,000 dollars over the next 4 years. Sounds like a scam eh?? And as far as the morons who say we cannot lower their interest rates, theyre probably right. However, what they failed to tell u is that the reason we can't lower their rates is beacause their credit score is horrible because they never make their payments, but if u do make your payments on time and are still being plauged by high interest, then we can definately help u. If we are a scam then why have we been an incorporated, international business for 2 decades??   Hmm?

I just called Alexander Dent at 1-404-345-0117. He sounded genuinely surprised that his company was causing any kind of problem.  He said to call his receptionist at this number 1-321-256-4025. He went on to ask me to be sure to use his name and to call him back if my name was not removed from the list. I told him my story. I hope this works. Thanks Mike.

I asked the girl to put me on their  DNC list. She was rude, and would not disclose a name, supervisor or address, she said it would take a month to remove my number.
I told her to bring it to the attention of her supervisor – that my name should be removed forever and that after Aug 14th 2009 at 5:55 pm – I will press charges with harassment if I get another call.
I dialed *57 to register & flag the call – I also called the operator and explained the situation.

If any CANADIAN LAW STUDENT needs a thesis - they could help with a class action suit against the CRTC for allowing these harassing companies to use our utilities.
