A scam by walmart
They are pushing Walmart gift cards.

WE have to be RELENTLESS !  WE, as a group of violated citizens have to fight back on our own because the FCC does absolutely nothing !  WE, have to continuously call them and disrupt their " business" ! There are less than 10 " representatives"  and every time we call and waste 10 minutes of their time, it's 10 minutes less that they can ripoff people !!!!

They called, I looked this number up to get an idea of what I was dealing with.  I called them back.  The guy in very broken English (Indian) told me that he needed my personal information to claim the $100 gift card.  I was polite and told him that I do not shop at Wal-Mart, as I find their conditions horrible and will not support any company that treats its workers horribly.  I then went on to tell him that I hoped his working conditions were good because I suspected he was not in the U.S.  Usually I have fun with telemarketers, but I feel sorry for these people.  They're probably off in India somewhere making less than a dollar a day just to survive. I doubt they know they're calling for a scam, maybe it doesn't matter because that's the only way they feed themselves.  I wished him well and asked that I please be removed from the  call list.  He was very kind.  The company these people work for is horrible, a scam, etc...  The workers.... I just respect them because they're working.  You gotta respect people doing really crap jobs for little money as it may be the only income they can find.  That said, this guy was really nice.  If he had been an a*hole, I would have messed with him.

Simple scam. They call you. They ask for your credit card. You give it to them. It doesn't matter what they offer you, all they want is your address, credit card, and ccd. Then, they have you. My poor grandmother, when she gets this call. These people should be brought to justice.

Gift card scam. Talked to someone that sounded like they came from the other side of the world. Said they were calling from Florida but could barely say it right. Could not give me an answer from what city he or she was calling from. Apparently the DO NOT CALL LIST system does not work. "It" hung up as I tried to ask several more questions.

This " ploy"  is starting to get to some of them, especially the ones with heavy accents :  Call them and whisper  IMMIGRATION .  Say it a bit louder each time until they say " what immigration ? ", then say  IMMIGRATION  in a normal tone of voice. They will hang up really quick. I bet most of them are in the U.S. Illegally !!!!

8pm California time?!  Come one! Hang up with no message.

Why can the gov't track all our phone metadata "legally" but they can't stop this?

They have called me for a total of 3 times and each time I have asked them to remove me from their list..... This last time I cursed them out, sorry.....

A scam no doubt

The only way to fight them is to waste their time ( time is money for them ) and keep their interest with phony names, addresses and cc #. Keep them on the line as long as possible by repeating things, saying huh, etc.   We need to call them back and do this repeatedly.

Do not answer then you see this number. They tried to get you info by tell you that they have a $100 dollar gift card from walmart. They say that they are calling from Florida but the phone ID says TN,USA. Its a SCAM.

7312010118 called me this AM and their message started out "Thanks for calling us today..."  I let the message run,  pressed 1 to talk to a human to tell them to remove me from their calling list.  Then I remembered hearing about a scam where they charge you by the minute for the time you are on hold, so I hung up. Very frustrating.

Called, automated voice mail message that said I wont $100 gift card to Walmart and I instantly deleted the message. Don't fall for it.

Call them back !  Insist on their first AND last names . Also, insist on their employee ID numbers. Keep this info and report it to the FCC. Try and do this numerous times for all their " trained" representatives, there's less than 10 of them !   FCC.GOV     888-382-1222

Got a call from this number today. They called my phone yesterday, and I didn't answer. I went to a site similar to this one, and found out that they were offering $100 Wal-Mart gift vouchers. Anyway, today I got a call from the same number. This time, they left a message saying that if I would press 1, I would be connected to someone who would give me a $100 Walmart gift voucher. Yesterday, I didn't get a voicemail. I was surprised I got a voicemail today. Anyway, thanks to sites like this, I know that this is a scam.

Be careful out there. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Glad you at least got a name, if that really is her name. I would hope that the govt. would bust these people. At least if we can "out" them, that would be good. Anyway, good for you!!!
