I got a call from this number. I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number now I'm glad I didn't. I hate scammers they need to go get a real job like the rest of hard working people that are just trying to make ends meet.

I missed the call this morn, or would have answered; no msg.
It came up as California call. I don't know anybody there, & have no debt but norm + my student loan, so it seemed suspicious. I too am on the "do not call" list, so I looked it up with a google search, out of curiosity. Thanks for sharing, everybody!

I answered and they hung up. Tried calling back and it's always busy. Dumb F*** people don't call me and then hang up and then NEVER answer. The call is coming from California.

definitely scammer. two calls early this morning no message. like i'll answer an unknown call that early!

Just got a call from this number on my mobile phone at 8:46 AM while leaving for work. Didn't pick it up since I do not answer calls I do not recognize. Never left a message. Googled it as soon as I arrived to work and found this page. Thanks for all the reports everyone. I know to avoid this number in the future definitely. Someone with legal knowledge or who has a good lawyer should probably contact the local police for the area in California that this number is registered and report them. If it's something like a Google Voice number to cover their tracks, perhaps a Cyber Crimes unit should be informed. I would say this is more than a scam. It sounds like out and out theft is going on here. Very shady. Very big crime.

just got a call on my cell 923 am didnt recognize so didnt answer. for junk calls on my iphone I create a contact called ignore. I use a blank ringtone and no vibrate setting.. They will only bug me once like that   :)

THIS IS A SCAM.  They claim they are Credit Card Services and are going to lower your interest rate on all your credit cards but then they ask for personal information.  I asked him to send me the information in the mail and I'll look it over and he said that they only do business over the phone.  Then when I asked him the name of the company and their website, he hung up.  He tried to call me again from a different phone number and when I told him I wasn't interested and to stop calling me, he hung up.
DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!  I will be reporting this to the BBB.

They tried to hit me up about an hour ago. No message.  Busy upon callback.

I just received a call at 10:45 today.  I didn't recognise the number, so I didn't answer it.  I googled the number, which led me to this page.

It apears that you might need to call your credit card company, and your bank.  I would tell them that your wallet/id was stolen so they'll issue you new account #'s.  You might want to call the local police to report these people, as well.  If they do attempt to scam money from you, then you will need to call the Social Security administration to report it, and I believe that they'll issue you a new number.

Called my cell phone, pressed 1 to talk with a live person, asked to be removed. they hung up on me.

Got a call about 11:00 AM did not answer, they did not leave an answer

Cancel your credit card.  Get a new one re-issued.  Put an alert on your credit profile with all three companies.

Just had a call from this number. Am on Do Not Call List. Did not answer and they did not leave a message. Plugged number in and found this info. Thanks so much to all of the previous posts!

I got the same call 9/05/2013. Lady offering to lower my interest. So I asked which card/bank is she reffering to. She said "Visa" (like who doesnt have Visa?), but could not say which bank, at which point I knew it was a scam. So I asked what city she was calling from, and she said "thats none of your business". You can imagine what MY response to that was. But I did get-in the last word before I was cut off.
