Sunrocket called ...again.  Male voice only says "hello...hello."
One time they asked me for my wife.....she died last year.

Sunrocket Did is a phone service where you can have multiple lines to a single phone service that shows up on caller ID as Sunrocket Did, not the collector's business name who is actually calling you. I quit answering any number I didn't already know, and if they leave a message fine if not fine, I could care less. Credit collector companies who are allowed to buy old charged off debt from a creditor that is allowed by law to sell them, will come up with tricky ways to try and contact you. ie: unavailable number, unknown number, private number, out of area number and now by way of phone service companies who display their name attached to the number they are providing, the colectors think we will answer those. HA! GOTCHA! If I couldn't pay the original creditor and they charged off the account (which by the way means they got a tax break from Uncle Sam for unrecovered debt) what makes these fools who can afford to buy my old charged off debt think I can afford to pay them or would even if I could? I got no bailout money for my poor financial decisions, so to hell with them.

I got a first call from this place today, asking for my son.  Don't know who these people are, were rude and hung up mid conversation number used 201-839-0091.  I am also on the do not call this.  Also, my mortgage is through HSBC.  Seems like someone has tapped into HSBC files.

sunrocket did is a false name for Portfolio recovery service. They buy very old debts that have been written off and try to collect them. Sometimes these debts are more than 10 years old with no action on them making them uncollectable, but they try anyway. Yes they use different numbers from all over the US as part of their improper workings. this way they can harrass you with different names and numbers and confuse the customer into thinking they are not being harassed when they really are.

Report them to comsumer proptection!

So, i just had my first experience with Sunrocket DID and the woman didnt have my name right and seeing as she was a telemarketer, i messed with her a bit but she wouldnt leave a messege for me using my real name because for some reason she had that on her records too... she was very very rude also! has anyone thought of doing a class action lawsuit? i think thats what its called ? let me know

They are bill collectors, this are the toxic assets that banks who bought other banks during the economic meltdown are trying to collect.

Call came in from 443-313-1380. Cross reference phone directory indicates it was from Sunrocket DID. I have no idea who this is.

Sunrocket is a voip (voice over Internet provider) so when a telemarketer or bill collector uses this voip service and disguises their identity "sunrocket did" shows on your caller id.The actual persons calling could be from a hundred different companies but one must ask---how good could the call be if the caller wants to disguise who they are.

yes it is most definately portfolio recovery i just had it out with them about an ancient debt and they themselves are no longer allowed to contact me or harrass me now i am getting hang up calls from Sunrocket did ....this is harassment also

this co. is a pain in the ass. I donot pick up. I am on the no call list but they don't look at that. I work at night and they keep calling all day long.

2011 - it is funny they called as Portfolio then quit calling. Sunrocket Did - hmm. Never have owed a bank money and never will so why are they calling me?

got a caller id from sunrocket did #443-313-1380.  No message left, no idea who they are.

I received a call from SUNROCKET DID today(1-15-2010).  I saw it on the caller id, didn't have any idea who it was and didn't answer it.  The number was 443-313-1380.

They asked for my son.  They would not tell us what the call was regarding, only that it is business and personal.  (my son is unemployed)

I am on the do not call list and I don't want these people calling me for any reason.  Looks like they target young people and I will not have that!

They called me, trying to collect a Capital One account that I paid in full years ago. They must really be the bottom of the pile. Portfolio Recovery had been calling me about this for a year.

Don't let them fool you. The account they're calling me about is so old that even if it hadn't been paid off, it's beyond the statute of limitations. All they can do is call. They can't initiate any legal action.

I just had the same thing happen.  The woman asked if there was another number to reach my son.  I refused to provide it, and she asked him to call 866-428-6589.  She swore she was not a telemarketer.

Sunrocket DID called my elderly mother and she was smart enough to say they had the wrong number.  The called then said something like "C'mon Beth talk to me".  Beth just happened to be my mother's nickname - they guess right.  She was so scared she hung up.  My mother is on the do not call list so why they are calling baffles me.  How does one get in touch with the authorities to report abust by Sunrocket DID and how do I get them to stop harrassing a little old lady.
