This number called my cell, My Wife's cell and my mom's home, stating my name and saying I have a restraining order against me and will need to appear in court. I waited on the phone to see what this was about and a message came on saying the mailbox was full. I don't know what this is about, I'm not a trouble maker. Is this legal? To my knowledge papers are usual served to a person who MUST appear in court. My Family doesn't need to be harrassed with some bogus claim.

Got a automated call stateing they were from the Civi investagation unit from Auburn Ma..no return number or name   But I have caller id and the number was774-221-8770 Saying it was a civil matter

We too received same phone call at house & cell phone numbers.  They sound so legitimate, so we called back but could not get through.  Glad we found this traffic ... will report it too.

A voicemail contact me on both my cellphones, at the same time; sayint the same thing. Something about a restraining order and that I am a respondant to some claim. These ppl should be arrested.

I got the same call and my first thought was to Google the phone number and sure enough i find a list of complaints. And while i was just typing this i get a call from my dad saying that he got the same call but for me....SMDH

I recieved a call stating I must call with in 24 to 48 hours to clear up a legal issue gave me a court number and a phone number of 742-218-770 (not enough numbers) so I looked back at my caller ID and found 774-221-8770 which is the same number my voice mail recorded and the person leaving the message, I called and it stated National Legal Corp. and it then promt me to make different promt and at the end they wanted me to take care of the legal issue over the phone, I did not do any I hung up called my bank to inform them and the police. Police here stated not much they can do because numbers can not be traced because they are using a computer to change the numbers. They are dumb, they stated I had a court action and a restraining order and they would be ceasing my banking accounts. wish I could have talk to them I would have asked for paperwork sent to my court house for me to pick up. caller ID states Emma Chaney but when you call it is National Legal Corp.

As mentioned in other posts, this is a hoax (albeit a scary one!).  I received a call from this number, and heard part of a recorded message.stating that "there is a warrant out for my arrest. I am required to forward this to my attorney, and have the attorney contact them within 24 hours".  Quite unsettling!  
Please, do not give any information out to these people if they contact you - they're definitely scamming for money.

This is second time in three days I've recevied the same message as described above regarding a restraining order against me.  They used my full name in message.  All the same other details as listed above.  Phone call today came on my cell phone and the house phone at the same time a little after 9AM! I think Emma should find something else to do.

They called me said legal problem my hart drooped they scared the crape out of me then they called my dads no and left same message smoothing needs Too be done give a guy a heart attack

I have received 2 calls from this number, scared me pretty good. I called and called and couldn't get anyone. My husband was able to get through to someone one time and they gave him all kinds of private info about an outstanding Pay Day loan I had. A real legal dept. would not have told him any legal info pending about me. They asked him to pay it right then to stop any further legal action against me.
I tried to find them on the internet and they don't exist. The call comes from somewhere in Maryland but didn't want to pay to get a name attached to it.  Don't waste your time, as everyone else has said, we would be getting a certified letter in the mail if it was real.

I just received a message from Emma Chaney @ 774-221-8770 claiming I need to call her within 48 hours about a restraining order against me?  When I called back her mail box was full and I was unable to leave a message. Surprise, surprise. I hope she doesn't call again as I will keep reporting  her.

This number 774-221-8770 under the name Emma Chaney has called me as well.

He got this call from "Emma" stating that me, his daugher, has a restraining order.  This is definitely illegal activity I would think!  You can't just use scare tactics to have people call ya back!  These folks need to be stopped!

Just recieved a call from this number. They claim I'm a respondent and must appear in court. They also gave a case number and said I should forward this information to my attorney.   There's no reason I would have legal action against me from MA or at all. I blocked my number and returned call, message says National Legal Corporation.  
Is this the new scam, frighten people with threat of legal action?
The economy is improving why can't these scammers get a real job?

I have received 2 calls from these people as well. I have tried several times to reach someone to talk to, but no luck. And the mail box is always full. I will admit I was pretty worried about this. I have have been racking my brain trying to come up with some reason and couldn't. I just couldn't imagine who from MA would want to put a restraining order out against me - I live in NH.  I don't even know what prompted me to check here on the internet, whatever it was I'm glad I did. I can rest easy now!

Message said there was a civil suit pending against me, including a restraining order and to call back with this reference number VDNE-2483. When I called back I just get a recording saying the mailbox was full.

I received a call from 774-221-8770 on 3/1/2013. The call was a recorded message stating that I was named in a lawsuit and that I would be required to appear in court within 48 hrs. It stated that I should contact my lawyer and that if I did not appear in court I would face legal consequences. The recording cited a case number which I was unable to write down in the short time of the recording. Note: the recording did not indicate who would be named in a lawsuit. It made no mention of a name at all. Since I was unprepared for such a call, I was unable to write down many specifics except for the phone number. The recording stated that if I wanted to repeat the message I could press 2 on my phone. I did this but instead of hearing the message again, I was disconnected. Since I was obviously very concerned about this call, I used the number  to call them back. After waiting on the line for a long time and going through a menu system, I eventually talked to a live person. I told him about the call and asked what it meant since I had no idea. He asked me first for the case number which I did not have. He then asked me for my telephone number. I provided that and he apparently looked up the information. He then told me that they were looking for a woman named Debra Watkins. I told him there was no one by that name at this number. He then told me to disregard the call. My brother once dated a woman with that name but they have severed ties long ago. This phone number is in my brother's name. How they obtained the number I do not know because it is unlisted! Why they would conclude that this woman would be at this number is also a puzzle. This type of phone harassment should be illegal. What if I was mentally unstable? What if I did harm to myself or someone else because of receiving such a frightening call?

got the same calls and for 2 weeks did not pick up the phone.when I finally did I received the identical threat of impending legal "I doom" including a personal order of protection against me and forthcoming seizure of my bank account.I live on disability and that bank account is dying for lack of funds as it is.these are very upsetting and probably could do some serious damage someone with a weak heart.I prayed about this all weekend and finally got the courage to call I was left on hold for 8 minutes .so I hung up and decided to goggle this national legal corporation. well I want to give my heartfelt thank you and blessings to all of you that told of your run- ins with this despicable group of people.this has been a real GOD WINK that I Googled and found all of you.I wonder how these people make money doing this and why do they?there are some very disturbed people in the world preying on the rest of us.I would have worried myself waiting for someone to show up attempt
