someone finally answered on the other end, and i told them to "F-off".  for all of you now who have received calls from this number, please report it to www.phonebusters.com, and the rcmp will give you a file number.  the more people report it, i'm sure the faster they will try to take care of it.

im one of the people who book appointments at healthtek Enterprises Inc. If you could all use your common sense for once, legal companies exist to make profits; therefore, not to waste their time and money on calling random people for nothing.

Called several times over the past few days. When I did answer a woman with a thick accent answered the phone. I asked if this was a telephone solicitation and she was quick to state it was an "environmental survey". She is very pushy despite requests to not call or any dis-interest shown by the caller to comply with her request. I stated I would not answer her questions and wished her a good evening before terminating the call. They have continued to call despite this.

Called again, answered the call.

Was greeted by "Marie" from Healthtek, claiming to be conducting an environmental survey for the Nanaimo area.

Confirmed with Marie that she is calling on behalf of Healthtek.
Asked Marie for Healthtek's contact information (phone number/mailing address) she said "Yes sir, just wait one moment" and terminated the call after approx 20-30 seconds of placing her microphone on mute.

I've filed a report with the RCMP.

No legitimate company conducting a survey would have any problem passing along the contact information of the organization conducting the survey.

Would strongly advise against anybody offering any form of personal information to anybody calling from this number.

If you feel so inclined, feel free to ask any representative calling from this number:
1.) Is this a telephone solicitation (they will likely re-inforce that it is a survey)
2.) What company are you calling on behalf of (they will likely claim they are calling on behalf of Healthtek)
3.) Ask for the contact info (phone/mailing address) of the company they are calling on behalf of.
4.) Ask if they work directly for that company, or if they are in the employ of another company calling on their behalf.
5.) If they are in the employ of another company, again, ask for name/phone/mailing address.
6.) Ask if they use a "Do not call" list, if so, ask to be placed on it.
7.) Refuse to answer their questions, and if they refuse to answer yours, simply state you will file a report with the RCMP if they do not comply. After everything has been exhausted, terminate the call.

Spoke with a representative there who confirmed they are conducting these surveys. These calls are coming from an office Healthtek has in the Phillipines. I did ask if they are outsourcing to a different company, and he stated they were not. However, it seems that the offices operate fairly independently from each other.

He claimed that if you ask to be placed on a "Do Not Call" list they will not call the number again.

He also said that the procedure is that they dial you, if you complete the survey they forward your information to the office in BC, who will call you to book an appointment about their products and services.

When I advised him that when I asked for contact information from the last agent, she terminated the call, he stated that if such an occurance happens again, to call their BC office and report it, and they will have your number forwarded to the office in the Phillipines to be placed on the "Do Not Call" list.

Yep, this number will not stop calling me.
Does anyone know about that you can press a few numbers on your phone when you answer the call and then the number will then stop calling you? I think it's ###? does anyone know?

Rec'd at least 3 calls per day from this # over the past week.  This is insane!  Called Healthtek and requested they NEVER call me again.  An hour later, they called.  I told them to "F off" and never call again.  This is a ridiculous nuisance, bordering on harrassment.

The number listed on your caller ID is *not* the telephone number the  calls are coming from. They must have figured out a way to have an incorrect number showing.  I had blocked 778-785-4259 previously - and have received calls today.....  When I attempt to block the call the Telus message says the caller is "outside the calling area"  This is some type of scam.

Calls more than once every day

I got this number 778-785-4259 from my phone caller ID. Nobody answer. It happend 4 times around afternoons!

To the employees of Health Tek that have posted:
Both have stated that Health Tek would not "waste time and money" calling people, and would not choose to harm their reputation.
When I phoned and spoke to a representative at Health Tek, whose number has been calling me at LEAST 2 times a night for the past 2 WEEKS- and always after 8PM, I was not at the peak of my politness...  I was very blunt and very bitchy (still am...)
I was told by this rep. that this was a glitch with the number, and that Telus is the problem- not them...  All I hear at this point is excuses.  The rep stated that some people are getting called at 3 in the morning!!  Like I am supposed to be THANKFUL that I don't receive calls at this time, and what would I like them to do?
To this I reply that if this is such a problem, they can DISCONNECT THE NUMBER!!!!
What?!  No!!  This is a $200 000 phone system!!  
Well, I let them know that if they continue to let this happen and they [***] enough people, they will be losing more than $200 000.
They will be losing money AND their reputation.

So there is a relatively simple solution to both the possible public image troubles and financial, too.

(and I do apologize to the guy I spoke to, well, yelled at.  It is not his fault his employers suck...)

I received a call from a woman saying i had won a prize for participating in a health survey in November. She said i had the choice of a bbq or a trip to one of 50 destinations. I chose the bbq and she told me it would be delivered the following day. When the guy showed up at the door, in a sporty blue vehicle with BC plates 796 KMN, he said he was there to do a demonstration. i told him i wasn't interested in a demonstration and just wanted the prize. He feigned surprise and said he had to make a phone call. He got back in his car and drove off, without any explanation. I called the number, 604 520 3565, for an explanation. Whoever answerd the phone said it's always made clear in the initial phone call that they are coming to do a demonstration. Not at all the case. The guy on the phone was very reluctant to provide info. He finally provided his address as 226 17 Fawcet Rd, Coquitlam. He said the sell Filter Queen Vacuum parts. He woudn't give me his business registration or tax number. Definitely a big waste of time. Completely unprofessional. I doubt they actually sell anything.

Same number just called me... but I am on the do not call list.  So I have reported them and they will be fined (hahaha97Z [***])

Just received a call from this number. Told him I was not interested. He had the cheek to call me again after i hung up. What do you do with these type of calls!

I get this number all the time too and it is the healthtek think. I was stupid enough to answer one day when they called and did the survey. Because one of the questions I answered indicated that I have allergies someone from the healthtek place called some time later to try and book an appointment and said I would win a prize. My sister talked to them and said I would phone them back but I never did and now they never stop calling. Very aggravating!

I have received a phone cll twice now from this number. I dont answer callsfrom numbers I dont know but everytime I tryt o call it back it says your call can not be completed crazy I tell you.
