I keep receiving texts from 778-93.  I blocked it on my messages on AT&T, but it won't stop.  I didn't reply stop because I heard that was a scam for them to find information about you.  I am about to change phone numbers because it is getting that bad.  How do I stop them???

this person has got to stop costing me money for text messages, can the FCC do anything about this jerk?

I've received two scam text messages from that number.  Someone should shut them down.

You can reply to the text message with QUIT and be unsubscribed.  They have an online form that allows users to input their telephone number to receive these "deals".  Someone can easily put in the wrong number, either intentionally or unintentionally, and subscribe YOU.

Something is wrong with a system that allows a phone owner to be charged for harassing spam by this company.

Everyone txt the word stop to this short code 77893 otherwise it's not going to go away...I have been getting a lot of complaints on this code and I work for a cell phone co....This is the only way or contact your cell phone co and have them add a subscription block to your line of service this should help as well

If you open them ppl you will be charged for them....don't open just delete

This text gets charged to my elderly mother's cell phone. Eighty cents on this month's bill, but there is a charge for 3-4 texts on every bill for the last six month. Eventually it will add up. I haven't tried to find out who they are, or what I have to do to stop it yet, but from the looks of the other posts here, it's going to take some investigating and time (like I have the time for this!) My mother shouldn't have to pay for these texts.

This is getting really annoying

I am on the do not call list but I keep getting text from this number in the last week from DealsNowUSA, TopCareersUSA, TopHomesNow, and TopCarsNow.  I tried to investigate a block on them on ATT but I hear they charge for that.

77893 belongs to "thefinancespot.com". They also own topcarsnow.com, dealsnowusa.com, tophomesnow.com, etc. I have been plagued with text messages from them with no way to "unsubscribe" (funny as I have never subscribed to ANYthING with my cell number) except to text them back or visit their website, which requires that I give them MORE information.
Thefinancespot.com and all their subdomains are hosted by theplanet.com in Dallas Texas. All domains are registered through domainsbyproxy.com in Arizona. All actual contact info for thefinancespot is blocked. My suggestion? Flood theplanet.com and domainsbyproxy.com with phone calls complaining about these people. Notify the Better Business Bureau in both Scottsdale AZ and Dallas TX. Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to opt-out by filling out an online form which requires you give them any info about yourself.

My cell service is through T-Mobile. I called them and had them block 77893. I'll let you know if this works.

I got the same thing and went on the site and could not find no list of houses

The text msg from 77893 offered jobs to mysteryshop. I called the number listed 1-877-308-1182, and a woman asked me some questions and offered money for shopping. She asked for a registration fee of $2.95, but I said I would like to check out their business before giving my credit card number. She said the website was Shopassistance.com, but when I checked out the site, it was a shopping site with some random items for sale. Also, the site Shopassistance.com had a notice on it as "up for sale." The call I made took 6:21 minutes. I called AT&T to see whether my bill was charged high tool fees, but they said it took 24 hours to post, and that the "company" wouldn't be able to charge high tool fees unless they told me upfront.

I followed some advice on another site and registered telemarketing block on my phone at:
www.donotcall.gov

Also, you may contact the Department of Consumer Affairs, at 1-916-445-1254, which is something I will do if the caller causes me further trouble or phone charges.

I have gotten 7 of these messages over the last 3 weeks.  It's getting really old.  Each is different from the others.  The most recent says

2 end reply STOP"
I am hesitant to reply to this message, even to tell it to stop.  What should I do?

I received a text message on a home 3br and 2bath for forecloser. This is not real.....

i recieved this text also on my phone and i did not sign up for it.

This unknow number keeps texting me.
