i keep on getting these. i just logged a complaint on the donotcall.gov website. encourage you all to do the same so action can be taken. p.s. in the phone number field of the complaint screen, i had to enter my area code for the phone number 778-93 to be accepted - so i wrote 312-778-93 and made it clear in the comments section that the calling number just read 778-93.

yeah STOP worked for me to opt out of the service.

I have texted with WMMR....hmmmm. Interesting you said that. I was trying to block the number through Verizon's web interface, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Just reply to the number "Stop" they will send you a message saying "You have been opted out of the service" and they won't text you again.

I have received multiple texts from 778-93 on my cell phone ...
On 8/17 it was advertising vehicles. It said to go to www.USauto101.com and use car code 1BW9V7.
On 8/23 the text was advertising homes for rent2own. It said to go to www.TopHomesNow.com and enter Promo:1BW9V7.
Today, 8/26, it is advertising that I've been chosen for discounts at stores. It says to call 1877-339-9329 and receive a $50 gas voucher and to use Gift Code:Nt45K.

I do not have any free texting on my phone plan, so I have to pay for each of these unsolicited messages.

I keep getting these bogus messages about loans, cars, and houses for cheap. I never got any of these messages until I applied on line for a job with PAPA MURPHYS. No one ever even had my phone number before to send such garbage. So now you can't even apply for a job on line without getting such crap. I'm turning them in and going to Papa Murphy's and let them know that they need to have this stopped or I'll be seeing them in court for my phone bill. DON'T APPLY FOR A JOB ON LINE FOR PAPA MURPHYS PEOPLE.  It's a big scam as well.

Just Called Verizon Wireless support. They said that this uymber is a premium number. Asked them to blocke the number. Hopefully this will stop the messages.
