- RachelSpoke with Maria (800-210-9011 x1258) she needed a copy of my JCP&L bill to get me my rebate. I told her I would call her back, had to find the bill. She said she would hold.
Thank you for the notes below - now I know it is all a scam.- Caller: Maria
- kellyOh man what a bunch of idiots these guys are. I work in a small office and I am the only person who answers the phone, yet this guy tells me he's been trying to reach the owner for "some months". I told the caller that the owner was on the phone (he wasn't) and if I could have a call-back number (so that I could look it up). He was very pushy and rude. Not to mention, I can hear that he's in a room full of other callers.

- JosephGot a call today, foreign accent, asking for a manager who left years ago. Wanted to speak to the current manager and said the matter was time sensitive and in reference to a rebate check. I took his information, but that was it.

- VSeveral calls over a few months. First from a "Lorenzo" and now from an Edward Hensel. Both asked to speak with the owner, then the office manager, then whoever is in charge when the owner's away. But they were stuck with leaving a message with little ol' me. Lorzeno would never leave anything but a general call back number. Ed said he was calling from AP&G regarding a rebate for an exisiting PPL account and left 800-210-9011 ext 2093 as his call back. Boss rents his office space and so has no control over the power or gas accounts. Sorry AP&G (not really) - now stop calling.

- Northbrook BusinessReceived a call from "Lina" (Caller ID came from a wireless number of 847.462.4935) asking for an old co-worker. I told her that he no longer worked here and if someone else could help. She informed me that she was calling in regards to a Commonwealth Edison rebate check and needed to speak to the person that handles the account. First of all, I know that our ComEd bills come already addressed to the correct person (the owner of our company) and would never be addressed to a random employee. I told her that I wasn't going to give her the name of the person who handles the account and that if she was actually with ComEd, she would know the correct name already. I asked her to please not contact us again and disconnected the call. SHE ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK TO YELL AT ME FOR HANGING UP ON HER AND DEMANDED THAT I PROVIDE HER WITH THE OWNER'S NAME. I asked for a return number 1.800.210.9011 x 1628. Just wanted it so that I could post it here for searchable results. This is a total scam.

- ELSA guy named "Hender" keeps calling and gives a call back number of 800-210-9011 ext 1756. He's very rude and very pushy, claiming he can only speak with the owner and "is not even allowed to talk to me about it". And "we've been trying to reach the owner for months". He claims it's not a sales call and it's about a rebate on the ConEd bill. Insists the owner should call back with ConEd bill in hand.

- TiffanyThe caller ID showed a spoofed local number, but "Valerie" gave me the 800-210-9011 x2253 number to call back. She asked to speak to the old president of the company who hasn't worked here in years. Claimed it was an urgent call about a rebate check for our Baltimore Gas and Electric bill. SCAM!

- FerdinandSame as above, spoofed baltimore local number with 800 210 9011 as the call back. Demanded owner's phone number as they were not here. I figured it was a scam so told them to get lost.

- ZLOReceived call from a Robin at AP&G asking to speak to ‘the building manager,’ and that apparently she had been trying to reach him for several days now. Left a call-back number of 800-210-9011 ext 1527, local number showed up as 216-531-7595. Also attempted to get info on other business locations, which any legit contractor would already have.

- Bob"Heather" called, meandered through our company's phone directory and somehow chose me. She left a message asking for a call back, and left her name, company name (American Power & Gas), and a phone number with extension. It smelled of phishing, but as the HR Director for our company, against my intuition I called back in case it was something regarding an employee. It wasn't. I got a recording, asking me to become eligible for a free vacation by taking a survey. In case I dialed incorrectly, I called again. Got a different but similar recording. Just for fun, I tried a third time.... and got a third variation of the same type of recording. So, yeah - it's a scam. If anyone calls you from 800-201-9011, just hang up on them... and don't bother returning any messages they may leave.
- Caller: American Power & Gas
- LarryMultiple calls claiming to be from 'American Power and Gas', leaves 800 number with urgent tone with 'your account information'. Of course, I have no account with them. Deceptive, pushy telemarketers. Don't even consider calling them.
