How can you have a 17 year old daughter if you are 20 years old?

I just got a call from this number and no1 said anything so I hung up called back and got an automatic system.  How there is no option to be taken off the calling list.

Privacy laws prevent them from even identifying themselves until after they confirm your identity.

This number called me at 8:54pm. I don't owe anyone money, but because of an unfortunate (fortunate in this situation) event from my phone error when you call, you hear a greeting in Spanish.  So I answered in Spanish, and the lady at the other end was unable to communicate. They hung up on me. Haha

If you were born in 1993, you are only 21.  How can you have a 17 year old daughter?  Doesn't make sense

The reason for the empty envelope is to get the address correction or verification.  If it is returned to them, they know that address is invalid.  If you moved and put in a forwarding address with the post office, they will get a notice of the correct address.  If you have not moved and still receive mail at that address, nothing happens and they make no changes to their records.

I've been getting calls from this number too. glad to know who it is and I can ignore it.

This number is calling me all hours of the day and night! I thought business hours are 9-5!!!!

As stated by the Federal Trade Commission, they may call you from 8am to 9pm but are not allowed to harass you in any way.  They aren't allowed to collect any money that has already been payed.  Also note that you may ask for them to stop calling but you have to do it in a letter.  You may find useful information here:

Just received a call from 1(800)223-9899 saying they needed to speak to _____ ______ (my father) due to a medical bill from a nearby hospital. I asked if it was a debt collector and the representative specifically said : "no mam. This call is being recorded.  I please need you to tell your father to call me back or any representative regarding a business matter with us. We close at 9:30pm and are expecting his call back as soon as possible".

I really don't think my father owes anything but I took note and called back. You get this automatic system that then will ask you for an account number the rep did not give me.

Calls very early in the morning from this number and it's always dead air.. Calls coming in before 8am even on the weekends... They never leave a message and it's always dead air on the other end.... calls wake us up on the weekends when it's our change to sleep in

Too late for me.  These people evidently also send written "bills."  My husband and I have been in hospitals 7 times since March 2014......2 for him, 3 for me.  These jerks convinced me that I still owed our local hospital over $900.  After numerous calls and very real looking bills mailed to me, I sent a check for total.  I just wanted to be done with it all, you know?  We have been so vulnerable but not anymore.  Thank you.

How is it possible for you to have a 17  yr old if you were born in 1993???   That would make you 5 years old at the time she was born...

my husband was involved in a automobile accident.  We were told by our lawyer not to pay the medical bills it was the person at fault insurance companies responsibility. insurance company is taking forever to pay out on the claim and it's been over 45 days since the bills came out from the hospital and you these people are calling us harrassing us for the money.

I guess I wasnt the only one to notice that one...she qould have had her when she was 5 yoa....that would be Guiness World Records stuff right there...
