I called and they stated the same thing, I stated that I had message to call them, she asked the ph number that the message was left on, I asked what the call was in reference to. She staed that they were the buziness office for "many dr's groups". I assume that they are a collection agency as I recently had some surgery and have been unable to pay the entire amount off and some of the debt is in collection. That is the only thing I can think off.

They are a medical collection agency.

Medical Bureau of Economics in Worcester, MA. The street address I found is: 85 Prescott Street Suite 402, Worcester, Ma 01605.

Random company who keeps calling and asking for me to verify my date of birth etc. I have no idea who the company is, but they pretend like they are some sort of government agency not giving out any information without me first giving my personal details out to some random person on the phone.

I don't have any debt or outstanding medical bills, so if it is a collection agency they must be creating records.

Keep getting calls from this number on my cell.  Must be medical related, similar to Doon's situation above, as I had surgery a year ago and my insurance didn't cover all the charges. Collection Agency for sure.

get calls from 1-800-234-1357 at least 2-3 times a week.And when i call a recording says to hold and then I get hung up on.

Just received a voicemail from this number, stating only the first word in my first name and asking that I call back.  I'm all paid off on any past medical bills so will report them to the nocall website.

this phone no just called me and said they were a collection agency and put me on hold then a guy asked me for my date of birth and other personnel information. I said I dont' provide this over the phone. Then, I asked him what he was calling me about a debt and he said WHAT DEBT? I hung up

This is the seventh different company calling me since I got this phone number four months ago.  All with a recorded message mentioning the name of the previous person who had this number.  Sometimes three times a day.

Each time I call back and explain.  Sometimes they stop, but then another company starts.  The company changes but the message doesn't.

I am on the Do Not Call list and report each and every call.

I got a call from this number.  It was a recording saying that they had a message for (my name), that it was an important message for (my name) and that it was only for (my name) and if I was not (my name) to hang up.  If (my name ) was available, please put (my name) on the phone.  They would give us a few seconds to get (my name) because this is a private message for (my name)  A few seconds went by, then my machine hung up on them.

I called this number back, and got an automated machine saying Welcome to "The Company"  if you know your party's 4 digit extension, please enter it now.  If not enter your phone number.  I hung up.  I have no idea what this is all about.  I owe nothing as far as I can tell.  Does anyone have any insite into this?

Caller left same voicemail as "Confused" mentioned above.  I called back after listening. I selected option number 2, it asked for my phone number but I hit "0" instead as I wanted to speak with someone directly.  They informed me they were a debt collection agency and identified the name and amount owed.  I could have paid directly through them but chose to call the health care institution directly.  I was unaware of anything owed but dealt directly with the billing office at the hospital.  Long short- I would recomend calling back as my situation was in fact valid but due to a recent move and change of address I had not received updated billing statements and was unaware of anything owed.  Hope this helps.

I called the number back and they refused to tell me what they do and asked for my info so I said until they tell me somne info they get nothing from me.

This number has shown up twice on my son's cell phone, in which he is ELEVEN!!!  I called "after hours" and hung up because a prerecorded message wanted me to leave a message with the number the message was left on.

I got a call from 800-234-1357, and they said that they were a debt collection agency. I told them that I paid the bill they are referring to, and they want me to call back with my checking account info and the check number. I guess I should give them my SS # and birth date too so they can more easily empty my accounts. They may be "legit", but I will give no such info over the phone. I suggested they send me something in writing...

they keep calling me (VM) and leaving a message for someone named "Jim John" it sounds like.  Their number is 888-653-6085.  they say they're calling about a debt.  I have no idea who they are or who Jim John is.

on and off , I'mgetting calls from this number. The recorded message it left did not even say my last name correctly.  I called asked what company it is, the woman on the other end refused to tell instead she asked my information I said I do not provide that information if I dont k ow who I am talking to this went back and forth s few times I lost my temper so i hung up

its a collection agency and they ask for your name/dob to verify they are speaking to the correct person because if they dont, anyone could call and pretend they are you and get all your information about your hospital bill. this is for you own privacy (even though it sounds dumb) if you dont verify the info, they cant tell you who they are/what they want because its for your own privacy. its against MA laws to give any info without the patient to verify their info first

also, they ask for you to put your # in because that is how they pull up your account (if they called you, then they have your # on file and they have to pull it up that way because most people dont have the accoun #, due to throwing away their mail)

We just got the same call. They wanted to speak to my husband, and yes, I understand MA laws.  The number they called us from was 1-800-289-5426. I pay all the bills and we have no outstanding medical bills that I am aware of. I'll have to wait 'til the hubby comes home to see what mistake I have to solve next! I find hospitals and medical groups have no idea of how to bill patients these days. Half the time we get the bill before they ever submit it to our insurance company.

Got the same call.  This company wants me to give them all my info without them telling me anything.  They state they are " BMROI."  I did have surgery and my insurece company did not pay what they were suppose to.  So guess what, I am not paying either!   It seem like when you call from your own number, they have a system where they can track it.  Never call from your cell nor home number.  When I only gave them my first name they automatically knew my last name.

I have been getting calls from 877-435 4009 who claims to be a debt collector.  I spoke with a Russel who did not identify his last name and won't tell me what the call is about, nor what MBROI is.  He sounded annoyed and continued to aggressively ask what my date of birth is.  I said I would like to speak with someone less intimidating and hung up.  What is this MBROI??  If they are legit, they should give their personnel better training.
