they call about 10 times a day . when i pick up they hang up in my ear . i am getting tired of it really fast

My phone has a call block feature. A worthwhile feature.

IF YOU CALL THE 800-307-3697 YOU GET 1-800-254-4171 AS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE - I GOT A WOMAN NAMED CAROL WHO MUST BE GETTING A LOT OF ANGRY CALLS BACK- SHE SAID HER OFFICE IS IN CALGARY XENTEL FOR CANADIAN POLICE FUNDRAISER - SAID SHE WOULD HAVE OUR NUMBER REMOVED BUT IT CAN TAKE THE TECHS UP TO SEVERAL DAYS FOR IT TO HAPPEN AND THE NUMBER WILL BE OFF THE LIST FOR (3) YEARS CLAIMS WE MADE A PLEDGE WHICH THEY ARE FOLLOWING UP ON FOR THE MONEY- NICE SCAM ON THE ELDERLY AGAIN BECAUSE THE PLEDGE WAS NEVER MADE

They call us twice a day, one in the morning ande one at night at randam times.... everyday... it's really annoying. When we answered it the first few times, they don't answer and they hang up all the time. They're really rude... and we don't wanna get a call block feature because Shaw is charging us extra $10 to upgrade to the lite package which we don't need any other feature except just to block one number.... it's a rip off!!!

I get calls from 800-254-4171 non-stop. I call them and the recording says to call 800-307-3697. When I do it's some reps being very rude and insisting I agreed to donate which is a lie. I told them to send some information and I WOULD SEE as only a fool hands out money to someone over the phone blindly. And my local PD has determined in to be A SCAM. Now I go on the hunt for phone numbers and addresses and end up with a number in Canada who says it's Xentel out of New Mexico. So I call Attorney General Kings office  505-222-9000 and spoke with the appropriate person and she was more than helpful. She was able to locate their corporate office in New Mexico. Xentel 4575 SanMateo North East Albuquerque NM. 87109  505-883-3730. So I called and told the person who answered the phone that I talked to Attourney General Kings office and had a complaint form in my e-mail ready to fill out but if someone in charge wanted to save me the time and hassle of filling it out and sending it in that I would forget the hundred phone calls I received as of late. The lady I needed to talk to was out of the office so I said find someone else and they connected me to a man named Chris who at first seemed upset till he realized I meant business. He took the phone numbers of the place that called me and took my name and number and 'did a hard wipe of all my info from their entire system and should be good for two to three years.' He tried saying it could be Monday as today is Friday and I told him he better get it done today or I WILL fill that form out. Which is also odd as the people at the phone numbers I listed above said it would take 30 days. He tried to give me the non for profit business but I know better. If their employees making the calls are getting a check THEY don't fall under that clause. People like the Red Cross who's callers ARE volunteers themselves DO. We will see if they keep good on their word but I wanted to pass along how I got rid of Xentel.

calls several times daily starting in am and ending up in evening rings and hangs up when answered when call number back to take off calling list can't transmit the call through

Debbie and others, get rid of these calls by:
email dontcall@xentel.com
Include your full name and phone number with area code
State "Do not call me. Remove my phone number from all active lists and all internal lists."
State that all calls rec'd after the date of your do not call email will be included in complaints filed with CRTC (Canada) or State Attorney Generals Office (US).
Send a copy of the email to yourself or a friend to keep a record.
We've had three calls last week, none this week after doing this two weeks ago, used to get 6 a day.

Calls nearly every day. Usually we don't pick up. This time I did. He had our name, and claims we pledged to the Police Athletic League. Told him we didn't pledge to PAL-- then he got irate. Hang up on these jerks. Got to be a scam.

We haven't had any calls from them in two months now.

Thank you for the information you provided.  It has led me to the company who continually harasses us at home...and now I can only assume they have the wrong number.   I tracked down a manager's name Marty Ripple in Vancouver BC so hopefully he gets some comeuppence by publishing his name.  The number they give us to call when you call back their 307# is 800-254-4171 stating it is staffed 24/7 but when you call they are closed.

This is but one example of the legal actions having already been taken or underway.  These guys are the worst kind of social leach.  They pray on the generosity of good people trying to help those in need.

It's a pity the Turks don't run our penal system.

A pity our penal system works like it does.  I'd love to engage a war dialer against these jerks and just keep adding to the dialer every number that has called us in just the past 6 months.  Trouble is that our laws protect this kind of social infection and would jail me for the reprisal.

Election day is coming.  High on the list of my suggestions is to vote ..... for anyone NOT presently on capital hill and start putting into office some folks who will help exterminate these types "businesses".
