I listed my BMW M3 on craigslist 2 days ago. (1-5-10) Now I am getting calls from this place. They call and hang up when I answer. I ahvent actually got to talk to anyone.

They keep hanging up on me too. Luckily I list everything with my google voice number, so I can mark them as spam and they will get a "this number has been disconnected" message.

Called about my aircraft that was listed less than half a day..... Got several calls and this was just one of them.... Thought I would check out the number before I called and I got this site.  Wow I'm glad I looked before I called and got really pee'd.  Thanks for the insite guys.  Man, the web is wonderful.

I work for a website that lists aircraft for sale. People come to us by word of mouth. These scumbags go through our ads everyday and bother our customers, trying to get them to list their plane on ebay. I have spoken to several customers who are attorneys, that are pursuing charges for violating the Federal Do Not Call regulations. Everybody should do it and put these losers out of business!

They keep calling me too, I keep telling them to remove me from their call list.

I had placed an ad with an online rv seller to sell our park model and I had a call on our answering machine from a Dave calling about our park model within a few days of listing it.   He gave me this number with an extension 267 to call him at the office.  When I called back the company was MBM or MBN, I tried the extension but no one answered.   The voicemail said it was Dave Williams.   I'm very disappointed in hearing that it is some type of scam, cause I'm bitter sweet about selling it in the first place and then to read everyone elses comments here about scamming.  We can be thankful people are talking about it on the web, glad I checked this out.  Thanks to everyone...........

I'm extremely pleased that this website exists for people trying to sell a car on their own.  Like so many of the victims here, I too have been harassed by these resellers - despite the fact that I note in my cars.com listing that re-sellers NEED NOT INQUIRE. People who don't wish this type of harassment and misrepresentation should just know to check here first prior to ever returning a phone call of an "interested buyer"; particularly if they leave an 800 or like #'d area code.  I'd be more sympathetic to their "service" if they were forthcoming in their messages left regarding their interest - but they aren't - and so I treat them like any other cold caller peddling crap I don't want.  They can talk at my answering machine.

I wish these people would stop calling me! I have my car for sale and they are just trying to sell me add space!

Here is what I do to stop the scammers:  First, I applied for a free Google Voice number and set it to "do not disturb".  I leave my real number on the Google Voice number voice mail, the robo-calls don't listen to the content of my voice mail.  Finally, in the text of my ad I list my phone number in the following form:  312**555**1234  using ** rather than - fools the web-bots the telemarketers use to troll for numbers.  To keep them guessing, change it up a little and use *& or *%, anything that throws the web-bots off.

These guys are wasting my time soliciting business.  So I kept them busy, I put them on a 5 second auto dial from my laptop for the past 2 days, i'll run their 1-800 bill up if nothing else!!!!!!!!!

I'm a local car dealer in Virginia Beach, and these guys keep calling me too.  I've informed them that we are a dealership, and have no need for their marketing services.  I've called them back, all they do is apologize and say they never called me.  For a company that doesn't call me, I wonder why their phone number is in our phone history 14 times in March.  Best of all, their services are offered by competitors for a whole lot less.  I export to 214 websites (using a vehicle feed from a DMS), which isn't beneficial to one person selling one car, but if you need to sell more than 5 cars in a month, you may as well pay the $410 I pay TOTAL for all my cars to go out to 214 websites.  Guarantee any local dealership could sell your car on consignment quicker than this call center can.

Called me, there not a scam but they are annoying. I do not like how they leave a message like they are a private party interested in vehicle plus if you call back the prompt or company name does not explain what they do. All they are is a company that helps you advertise it thru different marketing avenues in which you have to decide if you have more time than money or vise-verse.

Just a big scam the person refused to id his self or say what company he was from.

SCAM - Call as if to buy vehicle then say they can list it for a price and have buyers waiting... offered to triple their listing price and pay them when they produce a buyer - didn't take me up on this offer - reminds me of the scam years ago for timeshare and condos - "We'll sell your timeshare/Condo $249 - then they did nothing for the money - finally a class action suit was filed... Class action here we come!!!!!

As for you fritzy stop trying to defend unscrupulous business practices...

And yes I did my research since I publish a National Car Magazine...

Careful...what they are doing is annoying.  What you are doing back is illegal.

Another annoying list with us call.  They got my number from a tractor ad on equipmentrader.com.

I don't know about this company, but the Dolphin motor home that they currently have listed on E-Bay is seriously overpriced! It's listed at nearly $120,000, when the real value is about 50% of that! You aren't going to attract any buyers at that price!

Thank you all, I got a call from Lance today asking about my truck. He stated to call and go to Ext.228, glad I looked up the number. Yes it was as you explained, he acted like a person that was interested in purchasing my truck. Guess that call tomorrow will go un-answered. Thanks again.

Caller called me by name about my Lincoln Conntinental I had in Craigs List for sale about 4 months ago.. Is it still available ?? " Call me at my office 1800-320-0557 ex 231  beep beep  then hung up...

well yes the car is  still available..but I wouldn't pay to advertise this car . I'm sure I can find a local buyer as the car is in great shape and only has 50,000 original miles
