- JeanThis number is legit. They called my home within an hour after I made an ATM withrawl. I couldn't remember my pin code correctly. I entered it wrong twice, and finally got it right on the 3rd try. I guess this set up a red flag for them. I am glad someone is monitoring my account activity.
- Caller: Transaction Review Department
- libgirlThis is actually a real number. Received two calls from them, but no message. Googled the number and found this, but was still skeptical. Checked all my cards and didn't find any suspicious activity, but thought it might have been related to the fact that I made a couple purchases on a credit card that I hadn't used in a long time. Called the 1-800 number on the back of my card and told the person what happened. She could see that their security department had been trying to contact me and connected me to them, to verify the transactions.
So I suggest if you get a call from this number, call your banks/credit cards. If it's real, they'll know what's up and be able to connect you with the right people. It's probably only a matter of time until someone tries to imitate this to get your personal info.
Also try googling your bank/credit card company and First Data, FRIS, or Transaction Review Department, to see if anything pops up.- Caller: First Data
- jengreen replies to FRIS Analyst[***]. they've called me 4 days in a row now. i don't get very good service and i rarely answer numbers i don't know. all i could hear from my voicemail was something regarding my debit card and i need to call them back (automated of course) i've been with the same bank for over a year now and so has some family who has been with them for a lot longer. they have NEVER gotten a call about verifying any [***]. only calls they recieved was if there was an unusual purchase made, which they would just ask if they were the ones making the purchase (and in each instance they weren't, someone stole their card numbers) and it was a person calling, not a damn automated one. so i just have to say this is all [***] and u don't know what the [***] u are talking about. it's all just frickin scams to steal people's cards and identity's. i'm so sick of all this [***]. get over it and make your own damn living in this world. 'nuff said.
- Anonymconstant calling without message
- tiffanyit is a legit call. they were calling about charges to my bank visa check card. i purchased airline tickets and they were calling to verify such a large purchase.
- WILL NOT Give NameThis is the second time this has happened to me. maybe not with this particular phone number and this time by voicemail. I know my bank & usually if there is an issue they would call me during the day. My bank is not open 24/7.
- Lori E.Got a call on a saturday afternoon about my son's debit card from this number, 1-800-327-8622, 24 hr a day. I did not understand what the person calling said the name of the bank was, something something bank inc and did not return the call. I will be visiting my bank as soon as the doors open on monday.
- Caller: could not understand what the person calling said, something something bank inc
- LeeCalled here at 7:20 AM. However, we did make a large transaction yesterday on the card from the credit union. (Washer and Dryer). Have not spoken to them as of yet.
- Caller: unknown
- LexScam. If they know about recent purchases they are either guessing, or they already have your information. I checked all of my accounts and I haven't charged [***] that anyone should be calling about and there are no pending charges of interest.
- bjgot a call today from them about my account also but i don't even have a credit card
- Sallygot a call at 7:46 am from 800-327-8622. rang 3 times, then they hung up. couldn't have been That important. not even time for me to get to the phone.
must say tho, i went out of state 1 1/2 yrs ago & made some purchases. when i got home, i had 3 calls from someone trying to verify these purchases as i never go out of town & rarely buy much. this was a weekend & my Cr Union was closed. Mon am i got a call from my Cr Union trying to verify that i had made these purchases. must say, it made me feel good that someone Was watching my back. the only problem was my Cr Union as getting rather huffy about my not calling back. i left Them a msg that i was indeed out of town & how could i call them back if i didn't know anyone had called?! good sys but awkward if one is indeed out of town & making purchases.- Caller: 800-327-8622
- Sallyok, whoever this is, it is Not a scam. they called again this afternoon, rang 3 times, then hung up. BUT... my Cr Union called not long ago & were in fact questioning a charge of a large-ish amt altho it was to Verizon. can't imagine anyone stealing my identity to pay Verizon a big chunk of change but it was unusual for my acct to have any large pmts come thru.
so whoever these others are, they are definitely Fraud Detection for certain banks & i think particularly Cr Unions. for caller type below, you should have "other."- Caller: Fraud Detection for my Cr Union
- booboo replies to Katiei received a call from this 800-327-8622. i just made an overseas payment and they were verifying it. which is good, told me the last 4 transactions and they were correct,.so they check on purchases for our protection.
- vI just received a call from this number and as I checked it out on this web site, I realize either this call was a fraud or this site is because I do not have a debit or credit card for them to 'check out'.
- AdamI'm a student in college, and therefore do not live at my home where, of course, my home phone number is. I bought airfare online and that must have seemed strange to my bank, because my home got a call from this number so my mom (who works at my bank by the way) called me and told me they wanted me to call them about transactions on my account, which I did by calling them and giving them the number they had ALREADY CALLED ME AT and my name, which they also obviously ALREADY HAD. I know my mom, since she works at my bank, would know about the legitimacy of this company, and if they were not legit, wouldn't have told me to call them. Therefore, I conclude that this company is completely legit!
- Carol HThe company is Transaction Review verifiying recent transactions on my debit card to avoid fraud. Call the # back, tell them the # they left a msg on and take it from there. They do not ask for acct # or any personal info other than your name. My only question is why did they call my husband's former employer about my account. He hasn't worked for them for 9 months and what do they have to do with our banking?

- CameronLegit third party fraud protection company.Received the call after I made several transactions on my debit card. They never asked for any personal information, just wanted to verify that I was indeed the one to make the purchases on my card.
- TiffanyI had the same thing happen as mentioned in the other posts. I called my bank and asked if it was legit. My personal banker called the main branch of the bank to verify the call. Turned out that they saw 3 transactions of the same nature within 10 minutes, two of which were for 0.00. I had problems with my debit card at a gas pump, so I went to another location where it actually worked. I suggest calling your bank or personal banker and have them handle it.
