I just noticed an unknown $9.15 charge on my Visa Debit. I called the number 800-361-4894 as well, and it was voicemail. Left a message. But everyone elses responses arent making me feel very confident that I'll get a call back explaining what the charge was for. Argh. I dont generally sign up for stuff online. This better not end up being a reoccurring charge every month or Im going to be seriously pissed.

Everyone is saying this is fraud, and I believe it. Even if it were an online company that you accidently signed up with, you wouldnt get a voicemail, you'd get a ACD line with number options and probably end up talking to someone. Thats happened to me before, and the company was willing to take the charge off and cancel whatever account they thought I'd sign up for.

So now I have to go and cancel my debit card and wait weeks to get a new one. ARRRGH!

Received a call on my cell phone from Riddle & Associates a "law firm" who was attempting to collect a debt from Direct TV. Knowing that I do not owe Direct TV a dime, have never heard from Direct TV, and I just finished watching a TV program on Direct TV, I told the call to sue me. He then said "have a nice day" and hung up.

This collection agency that buys old debt for pennies on the dollar, usually debt that is barred by the statute of limitations .. in other words they can not sue you to collect. They also don't have the necessary paperwork to validate the debt.

I got the 9.10 debit charge and had my card cancelled.  I also made an Amazon purchase on the date of the unauthorized charge but had a gift card code so I didn't pay anything.  I may be speculating but I've seen several posts regarding Amazon transactions and am wondering if there is a connection.

I got a call from 1. They were very rude and said they needed to talk to me or my representative.

This has to be stopped. If the company is telemarketing, it is violating the law by calling before 8 AM and after 9 PM.

I had a charge on my account for the $9.15.  I've called my bank and had the charges reversed, my debit card cancelled and a new one issued.  I have no idea where they got my card number because we use my wife's for all our purchases.  I did call the "Asset Acceptance" that was listed on here, some woman answered and said she needed my SS#, I told her to get bent and to look me up by my name.

She said that she had over 150 accounts with my first and last name.  I told her to start narrowing it from there.  Her response?  "This isn't customer service."  I let her know what I thought of her and her company, that I cancelled my card and that the fraud department of my bank would be in touch.

These people should be killed.  Literally.

My bank is investigating. I will go get a new debit card.
$9.15 for nada.
He creates a lot of waste for others though.

I asked my bank if they could report the merchant account to an issuing authority.  She said 'No.'  All they can do is block the charges, but if they get hit 1000 times with the same fraud, I find it hard to believe they can't do anything about it.

Banking in this country is a joke.

Charge on CC of 9.05. Bank (WaMu) canceled debit card as a result of dispute

Charged 9.05 on the my visa card for site services which I had never done. Plan to report to the credit card company and fight!

No call, just Visa credit card charge of $9.10.  I never dealt with this firm.  Disputed charge with bank, cancelled card account and had new one issued.
