- LaTesha JonesI received a call from a lady by the name of Ms. Daniels. She left a message stating that wage garnishment was issued for me along with a license suspension for an unpaid payday loan. I called back and spoke to a Calvin Scott who said the payday loan was in the amount of 300.00 but with interest and late payments I owed 1202.50. They could do a day of settlement for 301.25, 50% for 601.25. I couldnt do either but made an arragenment to pay 395.00 on my next pay date and gave my card information and was supposed to receive and email to confirm cancellation of the judgement against me. After 3 hours and no email I called back and got a Mr Jackson who placed me on hold for several minutes to come back and tell me he would help me because Mr Scott was on another call. He tried to reassure me that the email would be there. I decided to contact my back and cancel the card and deal with the real matter if it ever surfaced.

- KevnReceived a call about a payday loan that they said I stopped paying on. They had a lot of personal info of mine. Name, address, email address, employer, ect. This is the third time this has happened in about as many weeks. They even offered a settlement but weren't sure it would be any good now.

- ShawneeGot a call this a.m. first on cell then at work! Identified himself as William White and that he was from the attorney general's office regarding an online payday loan. He had my full social security # which I did not confirm. I said I have a police report and also filed with FTC regarding this matter. I asked for his # which he gave as 800.478.5809 x248. I called back and it just rang and rang.

- Jasmin replies to DeborahI too received a call from Tony Garza, he has been harrassing me at work and my cell phone number threatening me with wage garnashments. I almost paid it. Luckily I came here and looked them up. So they are not a real company?
- CathyThese people are scam artist. When you are sued you are notified by mail and it was also show up on your credit. The same with a wage garnishment. California is a wage garnishment state however, there is a very slim chance that could aquire it as they only garnish wages for child support or spousal support. Credit card companies or loans have to jump through alot of firy hoops to get California to agree to this. People dod your research before paying these rip off artist. If they never get paid they will go under.

- Stacy T replies to John WalkerI got the same call from that same lady! She left a message on my voicemail with a claim # 878451 and the same phone number with ext. 267... Grrrr... said there was a civil suit and a threat to susspend my license? To avoid further proceedings I need to call back and then she said something similar to "you've been officially served". What is this BS anyways!
I have had similar messages from people with thick Indian accents earlier this year...
I'm not calling back but if anyone has suggestions on how to handle this it's appreciated :) - KathyI also received a call from this number. The caller, William White (ext. 243), left a message on my voice mail stating that I had a civil complaint filed against me and the complaint also had a 25% wage garnishment with it that would go into effect immediately if I did not call back and make arrangements to pay this debt. He never stated how much the debt was, who the debt was owed to or when I supposedly incurred the debt. He apparently does not know that wages cannot be garnished without a court order!

- jordanJust got a call from PDR,so they claim and states I owe money to MY CASH NOW from around 18 months ago. I said no-never heard of that company. Don't need these calls to start up again from these scammers!! I will turn this call over to the FBI and let them handle it.

- jordanthey gave me no case # that I remember. I called MY CASH NOW and they took the phone number that called me. I owe them no money and they have turned it over to the supervisor.
- bhI received a call from a gentleman, Tony Garza, stating that he had received in his office paperwork that could result in garnishment of 25% of my wages, and possibly suspension of my driver's license if this debt was not resolved voluntarily. Said he had spoken with my HR dept. and they said he had to contact me directly. He called on my cell phone, left a callback number 800-458-5809 along with ext. 234 and case no. I will not return the call as I feel it is scam - I have had payday loan but it was paid back. He never left a company that he was calling from or that he was calling on their behalf.

- sindyI received the call from Miss Davis at ext 232. Same old thing, I owed a payday loan from 18 months ago! Never had a pay day loan from that time period. If i dont prove to her within 24 hours that I did not receive a deposit from EZ Quick, then the court was going to garnish my checking account for at least $1200, and as all of you, would not supply me with any other information. It seems that legally I am entitled to know what I am paying for?

- annoyed 2012I've gotten several calls. the first time I spoke with the young lady I told her that my lawyer handles all of that info and gave her that number to call. second time they called I tried to call back but couldn't reach anyone.....SCAM!!! they tried to tell me my wages would be garnished for unpaid payday loan. well, since nc doesn't recognize payday loans, knew it wasn't true. gonna report to the attn. general they must be stopped!

- BallBuster replies to Ann| 1 replySame thing happened to my mom - it is a total scam. The guy who called my mom said his name was William White and that he was a lawyer and screamed all sorts of insults and cuss words at her. When I got on the phone with the idiot, I demanded his State Bar Number (which he would have, if he were a legitimate attorney) and he refused to give it, so that is a serious red flag that the guy is not really an attorney. We have a lead on an address for this group, located at 6220 South Michigan Ave. in Chicago, IL 60653. When you call 800 number, it links you to an "answering service" (how many real lawyers do you know work for an answering service?), and I researched the idiot's name on the Illinois State Bar, and there is no William White located at this address on Michigan Avenue or linked to this 800 phone number on the Illinois Bar records, so this is totally and 100% a SCAM. Telling someone you are a lawyer when you are not is a FELONY (called unauthorized practice of law) and I reported it to the Illinois State Bar... but if they're anything as worthless as the California State Bar, they won't do a thing about it, even though I gave them the idiot's address and phone number...
- minnieReceived a call from 1-800-478-5809 She identified herself as ms Williams from number 800-4785809 x500. If you call back that number it is supposidly and answering service. - deb replies to Annthe same thing happened to me. they would not send me any proof of the loan and threatened to garnish my wages to get it. first of all, my company would not garnish my wages unless it was court ordered and not judge would garnish my wages without proof.
