received a phone call at my job. They were threatning me  with garnishnments, taking my drivers's license. they yelled and would not listen. I told them that I did not take a 300.00 loan with no payday loan. I feel this is a scam.

I just also received a call from Kim Jones at second financial with only a case number and that someone was trying to have my drivers license suspended and to call herr at 18004785809  ext 244 and I must do this immediately.  I just called but noone answered closing early on Friday and googled the company second chance and found the exact phone number here or given to me to call as being a scam with the same person's name and the same scam, debt, money for license.  I will be contacting the state attorney general, our Congressman, the Houston Attorney General and Prosecutor's Office because my family knows several individuals that hopefully will stop another innocent victim from having a mild heart attak.  The caller i.d. shows Bresnan of Colorado at 9704246733 and ripoff, consumer reports, many others say they have also been threatened with their licenses, sheriff's department, and other terrible things.  Can't the Attorney General just find their address or at least turn those phone lines off?  If I can help prosecute or if anyone knows more, please let us know.  We are tired of people tryhing to victimize innocent folks.  Rodney Marshall 8325455361

I received a call yesterday from a Kim Jones and she kept talking over top of me. I have had issues with a family member using my info and thought it kind of fishy they wouldn't give me any info except the name of the payday loan company. So I called Speedy Cash they could find no record of ne having an account, which I already knew. Now I have to close everything to prevent these theives from taking my money. This is ridiculous!

I got a call from a 330-899-5700 first thing this morning. I was at work already and they left a message with the 800-478-5809 number to call back. I don't remember the name of the woman who called but she didn't leave any info about who she was or why she was calling. Just said to call back. Based on all the comments I've seen I see not calling back is the best decision. I have taken out payday loans before but I have paid every single one back. I've also only used Check Into Cash for payday loans and they have proof all of my loans have been paid off.

I too have gotten these calls, with many different names and voices on the other end. the number that calls me is 630-692-3000.
The person I spoke with was calling herself Ms. Adams, then I got connected to a woman going by the name of Miranda Thompson.
I was given the address 121 S Lincoln Way NorthAurora, IL.  The minute they said this, I knew it was a scam. My family is from Aurora and we know it well. That building is not a debt collectors office. There are businesses present there, but certainly not debt collections. lol
These people were very verbally abusive to me on the phone and also threatened to suspend my DL. He said they would send the sheriff to arrest me. LOL. I told him to bring it on cause Im not rich enough yet to pay for debt I have not accumulated. He had an old debit card number of mine ( i did not let him in on the fact that it doesnt work and hasnt for over a year hahaha), I told him to enjoy and spend like theres no tomorrow. :) When he said I would have to appear in court, I told him to make me. He refused to provide me with an account number in connection with the debt, refused to give me his IL business license # or anything else that might verify who they claim to be.
I hope someone catches these moronic indiiduals and puts em through the ringer. What a pain in the butt! They even sent bogus paperwork to my old job. When I called the courts....they had no idea what in the hell I was talking about. LOL
Wow, you would think these people would try harder. Guess thats what happens when your missing the majority of your brain cells.

I received a call at work from a Lauren and a Jack from 1-800-478-5809 ext 241 and 226.  Stating I had a payday loan from 2012 from Advance America.  He refused to give me the name of the company he worked for.  Said I owed $1000 but would settle for only $300 if paid today.  Would only accept MoneyGram or a pre-paid Visa/MasterCard.  The name he gave me for MoneyGram was Simple Software in Grand Island NY.  I asked for validation that I owed the debt and he said that he didn't have to provide it to me.  I asked for information on the company he was calling from, again, he refused to give me the information.  Said he had a garnishment ready to fax to my employer, but wouldn't give me the court case number.  Only thing he said he would give me is a Letter of Release after I had paid. Also said he would take it off my credit report, but this wasn't listed on my credit report.  They had my past address, bank account info, ssn, date of birth, etc.  Very slick operation. I even tried to give him my new address to mail the validation and he was not interested.  The only thing that mattered was I moneygram the money ASAP.

Hi I am wondering what ever happened with this  I had the exact same situation with theseveral people and I stupidly paid them twice because I did take 2 payday loans years ago so I thought it was legit. Now they're still calling me after all that so I think i fell for a scam. Did you get any legal assistance?
