- MartyI had the same type of call go to an associates desk. So embarrassed I felt like an idiot having them call me. So I wanted to call them back to make sure they don't call that number again. Prior to doing that, I read this forum so I figured this was a scam and my humiliation is a end result of a scam. So I figured, how can I fight this crap. Then it came to me....so I called the number, 1800-478-5809 (an answering service), ext 222 (african american voice), gave her my account number....and then stated to her that I am recording this conversation for legal purposes. Her reply "we don't accept recorded calls, thank you....<click>"
I thought wow, I wasn't even recording it, but wanted to share this simple but VERY effecitive solution to dealing with these criminals. So proud of myself. <pat on back>
Have a swell day folks,

I called this telephone, and a recording message stating 1(800) 478-5809 is a "Forwarding Toll-Free. Com" telephone number . . . there was no mention of the name of it's company. I also punched in Extension No. 261, another message stating there is no such mailbox.- Caller: No Company Name Mentioned

- AshleyI received a vm from this number telling me to call Kimberly Walker back at 800-478-5809 ext 231. She said I owed money on a payday loan and she could no longer "hold my file." I informed her that I never took a payday loan and that if this is valid she is to send a written validation letter, naming the creditor and amount of the debt. She said if I refused she would have my wages garnished. I told her to not call me again and that I was reporting her to the FTC and Attorney General. She hung up on me. I called back and spoke with the general receptionist asking for the name and address of their company. She told me the name was USA Answering, when I asked for the address she told me to hold on and put the phone down. When she returned she said the address was 2222 S Hammond St Omaha, Nebraska 68101. That was probably a lie. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION OR VERIFY ANYTHING WITH THEM ON THE PHONE. What a joke these people are.
- JoThey call Calvin and Jim Swartz and say they are taking my pay immediately and they would not GO TO ALL THAT TROUBLE of providing me with proof and documentation of the claim they say I owe. The worst part is that they yell and belittle you and accuse you of having done business with their associate company and cannot and will not provide any documentation about it...
- Caller: They will not give a company name

- De| 1 replyThey just called me this morning saying that my license will be suspended, on my voice mail. I didn't call them back, the nerve of these people, last April they called me, saying I took a payday loan out, in October 2011, which I never ever did, and then I said, I pulled my credit up and it is not on there. These people are FRAUDS and FAKES, DO NOT LET THEM DECEIVE you or scare you. DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY, if it is the "TRUTH", they would send documented proof to your address, they would have your banking information, and most importantly, IT WILL BE ON YOUR CREDIT, IJS, TRUST ME, MY CREDIT TANKED BECAUSE I LOST MY JOB AND I WAS OWING DIFFERENT PLACES MONEY and they all sent documented proof and it HIT MY CREDIT RIGHT AWAY, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!!!
- jordan replies to DeWell they are at it again!! they say I owe money to a payday company called PAYDAYMAX. Just got off the phone with PAYDAYMAX and I have never had a loan with them or do I owe them any money. So I called the 800 number back and told them and they said too bad your paper work has been sent forward and you will be getting a call about a court date!! bring it on! scammers!! idiots!!
- nmorman2000I got a call from this number with a message that said "This is attorney William Smith, I need you to call me back at 800-478-5809, ext243." I called and this guy said I had a payday loan from 2011, and I paid $100 on it a d owed $900 more. I told him he had the wrong person, he then proceeded to give me all of my personal info, I.e., full name, address, social security number and the scariest of all my debit card number. I stopped him after the first 4 digits, and said I wanted his address and company name. He said he worked for payday recovery, 123 Madison, Chicago, Illinois. I asked for the company he was representing and he tells me I'm going where I don't need to be going. I told him to call my attorney and one second after I said his name this guy says what's he a bankruptcy attorney? My attorney is a bankruptcy attorney, but how did he know that so quick??? Unless he already knew I had filed chapter 13 in 2011?? The thing that stunned me was this guy called my attorney! I decided to call him as soon as the guy hung up on me and he had just called right before I did. They told me that I was t the first person to call them saying this had happened, but what I don't get is how and where they got my information. I'm really worried that maybe I did get this loan and don't remember, I have had a few payday loans in the past but always paid them back ASAP because of their interest rates. I just would have thought if I did owe this money I would have gotten something in writing first. Aren't you supposed to? Isn't that the law?

- JohnCalled me today and had all my information even my bank card number. She said that they are going to charge my card for $300.00 for an arangment that she said I made in april of last year. I told her I never heard of advance payday and that they better not charge anything to my card, then she hung up. I called my bank and canceled my card as soon as I got off the phone with them. All they try to do is scare people into paying for something you do not owe.
- jen| 1 replyAn employee by the name of Charles Avery has been calling an is very rude, unprofessional about his fraudulent
requests for money he claimed I owed on a debt in which he could not produce documents to show debt acquired,
could not say the name of company. But insisted if I did not pay, he would contact HR.- Caller: Second Chance Financial

- BarrieThese people are frauds! Do not give them any information. They called and left me a message at work. When I called them back, they answered as "Second Chances". First of all, they sounded drunk or stoned or cognitively challenged. They put me on hold for ever. When I have them the extension number of 253 they couldn't even connect it to me. They were nervous and untrained and obviouisly think we are all stupid. When I started asking legitimate questions they would put me on hold again and again. I know my bad debt and this isn't it. They said it was for an internet payday loan I took in 2011. FIrst of all, I never did this and would NEVER do this. They had my mother's name as well as my best friends and their phone numbers. Truly frightening. They will not get a dime from me... they will not send me anything in writing..they just wanted a card number. When I asked for them to get me some specifics, names, IP address, dates, etc. they would not give it to me and stated they would not pursue this anymore. When will companies like this every be taken out of business!?!

- BJ LynnHow about a call from this #. Miss 'Eve' said she was from Second Chance Financial (a credit repair co., per Google Search) and that they had a garnishment for 25% of my pay to start my next payday for consolidated payday loans totalling almost $800 which they would settle for $200. What!? All of this was in a voice mail, and other than my name it was BS. I didn't even call them to see if they had the right person. I KNOW garnishments don't happen like that....since payday is tomorrow and I've received no notice in the mail or from my payroll dept.....they either have the wrong person, or more likely, I think payday loan companies sell their lists (those with and without balances) and they see if they can get $$$ from people who are frightened by the word garnishment. There are legal steps to follow.....IF I actually owe someone, they will follow the proper steps to insure they are paid. They will be affiliated with a legitimate company, one you can find in the yellow pages and/or on line. Too many red flags.....What a racket
