Never do business with them!
If I would have known they would call me 12 seconds after a payment was due, I would have never taken my auto loan out with them. I know, I know… If my payment were paid on time, they wouldn’t call at all… But, they call 6-8 times a day, every day, 7 days a week! From 7:42AM in the morning, until 8:57PM at night. Give me a break!

- JSEThis mother fu¢^ing company is the REASON the Do Not Call list was invented!
Yet filing a report there does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I must have filed around 50 or 60 now for this company, each and every time they call I report it, and the calls still just keep coming.
I installed a caller ID zapper on my computer just for this friggin company and it has been hangin up automatically on them after 1 ring for almost 2 solid months now, and they STILL don't take the hint! Look, here is just a sample of what I have to put up with (this is as big as I could make the screen for the screenshot. It is the log of calls from the program I mention):

No one on this household has any business with this Wells Fargo Company. I'm seriously considering hiring a lawyer. There has to be some way of suing this place for harassment.- Caller: Wells Fargo

- WellsFargoSucksPretty much the same story as all these others...I have an auto loan with WF, I pay my bill every month using an online billpay, I've NEVER received a late payment (Going back 3 YEARS) but lately they've been calling the DAY after the payment is due. They've called my work too. I went on their website and CHANGED my phone number in hopes they'd back off. We'll see. That is ridiculous to call someone so many times for a payment that is less than 2 days past due, mostly due to the fact that my bank doesn't do electronic payments on the WEEKEND!

- Dear PrudenceWells Fargo Auto Loan is notorious for initiating “reminder” calls and claiming your payment is past due. Even when you have the burden of proof otherwise!
The reason you are getting these calls is because at one point during ht loan you were late or you made some type of payment arraignment. Even months or years after the fact when you are back on track with payments your phone number WILL remain in “the system”.
This is what to do if you are plagued with literally dozens of these calls on your caller ID every day:
(Step-1) Call from your phone (the phone number in the system) after 8PM and disguise your voice questioning why you are getting these calls. Also assure you don’t do business with Wells Fargo; loans credit cards or otherwise. Also explain you just moved to (your state, city) and you were issued this phone number last week. Give them your phone number and tell them to make sure it’s out of the system that you don’t appreciate being annoyed with calls all day long. The customer-no-service idiot will probably say it will take 48 hours to be completely out of the system. These idiots think they are slick – during the call the CSR (may) ask their “buddy” to call you to verify your line is busy – if you have call waiting, switch over an be sure to answer using your “disguised” voice then sternly explain you are on the phone with Wells Fargo now the you are NOT a customer! Once you finished I would STRONGLY recommend calling two more times (in a row) and do the same routine – at one point the CSR will probably confirm that your number is already out of the system – at this point “be nice” an apologize that you called before but the CSR hung up on you and you are calling back to make sure your number was taken out of the system.
It’s not over yet: A few moths will pass and the calls will resume (usually the call will display “Unidentified” for a few weeks, then the familiar [800-565-2310] will rear it’s ugly identify! At this point repeat (Step-1).
(Step-2) Fight fire with fire. EVERYONE reading this; call 800-565-2310 several times a day and play with the CSR’s. I first get the CSR name then say “you smell”, “you stink”, “I don’t like you” (repeatedly). Every dollar bill you get write 800-565-2310 “for a fun time”. Every bathroom wall write 800-565-2310 “for a fun time”. Also tell all your friends to call 800-565-2310 and play with the CSR’s- Caller: Wells Fargo Auto Loan
- Someone Who Knows| 1 replyIf you want to complain about this number calling you when you are a few days late, I would suggest that each of you READ YOUR CONTRACT! If your payment due date is the 1st and you have not made the payment, you are late and therefore will receive phone calls from the collections department at Wells Fargo Auto. If you cannot make your payment on time, change your due date. If you use bill pay through your personal bank, remember that this is not an "electronic" payment, your bank has to actually mail out the check to Wells Fargo, so give yourself extra time.
You can pull out FDCPA as much as you want to, but Wells Fargo has an entire department set aside to make sure it is in compliance with all of the state and federal laws. Do you really think they would open themselves up for a lawsuit?- Caller: Wells Fargo Auto Finance
- wfafWOW YOU GUYS ARE DUMB THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TEN DAY GRACE PERIOD. CHECK YOUR CONTRACT. THERE IS TEN DAYS BEFORE LATE FEES ARE ADDED AND IF YOU HAVE PAYMENT DUE ON THE 15TH ITS DUE ON THE 15TH NOT THREE WKS LATER.
- DanaI too have been getting calls the same day the payment is due. My car payment is due today, and the first call came in at 9:00AM. It's not even close of business yet! Give the payment a chance to GET THERE. Whatever happened to 3, 5, or 10 day grace periods on installment loans? For Pete's sake, even my mortgage company gives me a 15-day window.
It's harassment, plain and simple. My payment has been made. Get. Off. My. Back. - Danawfaf - no, we are not dumb. Once upon a time, it was standard for loan companies to give a "grace period" before they would consider the payment late and thus call for confirmation that a payment had been made.
My payment is due the 20th. I made the payment, and it is pending through my bank and will be closed at the close of business today. Can you think of any good reason why a company will send a collection call THE SAME DAY THE PAYMENT IS DUE? Due on the 20th means due by close of business on the 20th. There is NO REASON AT ALL these people should be harassing customers first thing in the morning the day a payment is due. That you are defending such practices is pretty telling. - DanaTo Someone Who Knows - you are not correct that the bank has to send out a paper check to Wells Fargo Auto Finance. WFAF absolutely does accept electronic payments. I make both of our car payments electronically every month - there is no paper check.
- b.s.Wells Fargo Auto Loans does not have a grace period for payment. however a customer does have 10 days from the due date to make payment without any penalties or additional interest.
Does this mean they have the right to start collections action the very moment after a due date has passed to collect on the debt. Yes.
I don't like this as I see the caller id's and the phone calls left without messages during the first few days past the due date an installment is due.
After a few days messages will can also at times be left.
If during this ten day period a payment is made on-line for any date during the ten day period the calls will stop.
I did speak with a supervisor at one time to give him "the riot act" but never did so after all was explained to me and I was appreciated as a customer and to please understand they have a job to do with what they have been instructed to do.
So if there's any recourse for any unjust annoyance, the only solution would be to write directly to their management (general manager, director, vp, president or even the CEO).
Hope this helps.- Caller: Wells Fargo Auto Finance
- AngryBeware of this company and it's practices. They added force placed auto insurance to our account (although we had our own private insurance) and after 6 MONTHS of sending them proof of insurance it is still on the account. Raised my payments $200 a month. Ofcourse, you have to pay it because they take te insurance money off yumonthly payment first to force you to pay it if yu only sned your normal payment you quickly become 30, 60, 90 days late. They told me they would reimburse me after they got proof of insurance. Still waiting (and paying) 6 months later. Good luck with this company, you're gonna need it.

- Tone DeafI have had a WFAF loan on a car for about 9 months and I have had a couple problems working how to pay them. I never made a payment later than a day or two and am up to date as well. I am far from being delinquent at paying my bills. But, WFAF has literally made my life a living hell. I have to turn off my phone at work now because these guys are relentless with their phone calls. It's ridiculous. My account is paid up to date, why are these guys calling me non-stop. They have no scruples. They start early in the morning and don't stop until late in the evening. If what they are doing is legal then the laws are really screwed up. They need to get rid of all the people making these phone calls because I'm sure that it is costing a fortune which could be better spent elsewhere. Like maybe lowering the interest on some of the loans they dole out.

- ReneeWhen I bought my Jeep I had my mother co-sign on the loan. Some how they had messed up the paper work and listed her as the main person on the account and I am listed as the co-signer. I have requested more than 10 times that they fix this error. I have sent them the original loan application showing I am the owner of the loan. They call my mother every single month starting on the day the payment is due. I live in NJ and mail my payment to Philly. My Netflix is also in Philly and is received the next day. Wells Fargo calls for over a week and a half after the payment has been made. I was just told today that they take approx 10 days to post your payment to your account. Even when you tell them it has been mailed they give it one full day and start calling again. They called my brother an [***] when he answered the phone at my mothers and told him to get a lawyer. I will never finance with them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- ReneeAlso when I have called them they are never able to find my account under the number listed on my payment book or by my name or address. They always request my SS# in order to find me in their systems. What kind of company can't find your account under the account number?

- WF sucksWF really sucks. I have never in my life gotten calls from collectors until i financed with Wells Fargo. A payment that's one day late! OMG people have so much to deal with and WF has no consideration. My payment is due on the 28th. It's now the 30th and i've gotten 3 calls today and it's only 12:05. I'm pretty sure i'll get another call by the time i'm done with lunch. I need to refinance.
