We have an account with Wells Fargo.  Called, and they don't know why we keep getting "hang up" calls from their number.  Not very business like!  I told them at this point any more and I will consider it harrassment.

Car payment is due on the 26th of every month.  Even though the company allows a 10 day grace period Wells Fargo Auto Finance always calls immediately after the due date for a payment.  Not once has a payment not been made.  This is not good business practice.  I could see if the 10 day grace period has come and passed but to be hounding someone for a payment that is not technically late is going a bit too far.

I have asked that calls be made to my home and cell--not my work.  These continue happening and I want them to stop.  Since financing in June, there have been total payments made of about $3,000 on the loan amount.

"If you want to complain about this number calling you when you are a few days late, I would suggest that each of you READ YOUR CONTRACT! ........, but Wells Fargo has an entire department set aside to make sure it is in compliance with all of the state and federal laws.  Do you really think they would open themselves up for a lawsuit?"

~~Hey, SWK. Wells Fargo Finance must pay your ass real well to cover up for them, huh? It ain't working. You guys are full of deep fried dung. As far as opening themselves up for a lawsuit. They already have. Hope you have another job lined up.

OMG!  I will NEVER do business with this company again.  My car was initially financed through another company that offered automatic bill pay.  That company sold my load to Wells Fargo and that is when trouble began.  Wells Fargo does not offer automatic bill pay.  At first I found myself mailing my check about a week in advance of the payment date.  It was continual phone calls telling me my payment was late and that maybe I should mail my payment earlier (like 7 days was not early enough)! I eventually stopped mailing payments and on the due date called the company and made a payment by phone.  Then Wells Fargo set up an online payment system.  The payment site is separate from the bill view site.  I started making my payments there.  It is not easy to work with this online payment site at ALL! But, at least it was better than having to dedicate my time to trying to get a person on the phone to make a payment.  Well, then I started getting phone calls saying I didn't pay my bill and I have had to PROVE that I made the payment before the due date at the online site.  I have even had to fax copies of my bank statements to prove this.  I knew I was getting close to paying my car off.  In July I started getting phone calls that my July payment was late (AGAIN).  After innumerable calls, faxing bank statements where the payment cleared the bank before the due date, someone finally said "we don't take the last payment over the phone or on the internet you have to mail it it."  Why...duh...  Then when I asked what the payoff was I got figures ranging anywhere to "we owe you a refund" to you owe us $600+.  Never got a solid answer.  And, oh by the way, they do NOT regularly mail statements to you, you just have to KNOW when it is due and pay it.  I received a bill in the mail saying I owed $241.40 by the 18th of August.  After much more faxing and calling and explaining what was going on one of the reps said, well it appears you extended a payment due to a hurricane and now you owe us this $200+ payment before payoff.  I NEVER EXTENDED ANY OF MY PAYMENTS, BUT HOW CAN I PROVE THIS!  I'm cutting my losses.  I'm mailing this last payment and may God strike me dead if I ever have anything to do with WELLS FARGO again.

OH!  Guess what!  I also have a credit card with them, which I have never been late on and they STILL call me.  Needless to say I'm paying them off as fast as possible.  This place is DISEASED!!!!!

I recently got my car financed through Well Fargo, and every since I have been having the worst problems ever! The first issue is that they never received my insurance information(so they say) so, they placed insurance on my car, and I wasn't notified of the placed insurance until FIVE MONTHS after it had been done, which meant that all of the payments made during that time frame reflected negatively on my account, because a portion of every payment that I made went to the insurance that was placed on my car. The second issue is that I was apparently short on my car note by $3.00(because of the whole insurance thing) and I got several very disturbing calls from them...one rep said that it will be okay, and to just add it with my next payment...another rep said that the balance was on there because I missed a payment back in December. Now had I done that, the balance owed on my account would have been a lot more that $3.00! The third issue is that I get calls from them before my payment is even due! Asking when will the payment be made. I will most definitely be looking for another company to refinance through ASAP!

I have a similar problem with Wells Fargo Auto; I had only been late about 4 times in 4 years but they always called the due date or the day after and wanted to make payment arrangements over the phone. I always declined because I had actually mailed the payment. Now I have traded the car and refused to go through Wells Fargo financing. I have a much lower interest rate and with a local bank. However, although the dealership sent them payment on Sept. 15 (I have DHL confirmation they received payoff), they continue to call me and say they never received it. The dealer says the check has cleared the bank and they've called WF. It will be one month soon and WF is threatening to put "late charges" on my credit report though I don't own the car. I do not know what else to do but contact the Better Business Bureau in Dallas where payment was sent. Any other ideas? I cannot afford to hire an attorney and yet I supposedly make too much to qualify for legal aid. No attorney in this county does anything pro-bono.

Wells Fargo is CRAZY - They used to call my office on the first day my auto loan was past due.  I also have my home mortgage with them.  I told them if they dont stop calling my office, they will not have to worry about getting paid for either load...because I will be unemployed.  They called 10 times today from 8 am to 9 pm.  I will not pay them now until the last minute.

I have been a client of Wells Fargo for about a year and a half now, and it has been one of the most harassing experiences of my life. I own my own company, so there are times when I can't get the payment made in time, but I have never been more than a few days late with it. My morgage company gives me 15 days!! WF gives me about 3 hours. My payments are due on the 24th, and I went to pay it on the 22nd, since I was going to be out of town, but they were not open on Christmas eve or Christmas day, so I has to wait til the 26th for the payment to go through. When someone called me, I explained what had happened, and they told me it was my fault, I should have planned ahead and they should be charging me a late fee, but they would be kind enough not to, just this once. First of all, they do not allow your payment to process immediately, it usually takes about 2 days for it to go through if you pay online. So I had plenty of time. They lady then told me I should have known that they would be closed. Well, silly me. I figured since I had to work on Christmas Eve, so would other people.  I have no problems with my car, but I am looking for something else, just to get out of this nightmare.

These people I swear!!  My car payment is not even late and they call and they call and they call.  I am so sick of them.  I finally quit answering because it is a computer.  I called them and said that I changed my payment date to the 20th of every month instead of the 5th.  They said they showed that on record.  I asked them why they would call me from the 5th thru the 20th til I made my payment and they said because it was automatically set in their computer system at that date.  I asked them time and time again to change it and of course nothing has been done.  I would like to file a harrassment charge on them.

Wells Fargo.  My new car payment was due on the 5th (Sunday), today is the 8th and they're calling like crazy. Haha idiots.

They're way worse than Nuvell Financial (who were horrible also).

I told this guy that I set up this account to autodraft my checking account every month on the due date and so it looks like Wells Fargo goofed up.  So he said he'd flag the account so they wouldn't call, but to be sure it was paid by the 15th.  So at least he was reasonable.

i leased a car through wells fargo and traded it in over a month ago.  i keep getting phone calls from these idiots saying i'm late on my payment and need to pay immediately.  i tell them my situation of trading the car in and they put it in their notes.  i get a call the next day about this, like they never read the notes in their system.  i tell that person the same thing and they called AGAIN an hour later!!  told this person the same story and gave them the number to the dealership i traded in to and haven't heard back in 3 days.

Funny thing is, if you get behind, and they threated to repo, and you tell them "okay, come and get it" it will still be in the driveway in the morning!
The collectors are required to bring in X amount of revenue monthly. If they do not hit that mark, they get hassled by management.
I was 3 behind, and no matter what offer I gave them to make up the payments, it was not good enough. So I started saying "I am paying $100 more than the car payment, as per our agreement, AND I am recording this call", and they generally stop calling for the rest of the day.
Right now I am only 1/2 payment behind after farting around with them since last summer, and I still have the vehicle, and they are enraged, yet no one has repo'd it yet.

    Case inpoint "Someone Who Knows"
Since they are a loan originator and not a loan remarketer, they have a whole different set of rules than standard collections.
The point though is, in Colorado, you can request correspondence by mail only, and no phone calls, which I have done, so I have everything backed up in writing, and they refused.
I record EVERY phone call that I receive or send to them now. I can do this with the Right to Privacy act revision of 1973, and as long as ONE of us knows that they are being recorded, it is legal.
Since you guys take poor notes,no notes, or fail to read the  notes on the account, one of us needs to keep a running record of what is said verbatim.

Even if you're late and have made payment arrangements or have said your payment is on the way,
they will still keep calling you??  They will call ALL DAY LONG.  Wells Fargo is serious about
collections.  They do not follow the fair debt collection laws.  They call at hours they are not supposed to.  They will call your work even though they have been told not too legally.  I just love some of the posts on here.  It's obvious they are WF employees.  LOL
