received 2 letters  claiming it was stats canada -didnt have my name on it only my mailing address and said you have to call them or go on line to do survey  about community and donation etc. Funny thing is about it is -it stated if youi are 15 yrs only and are the only one in ur household  you need to answer this. how can a 15yr live by them self o, own a house etc. a 15 yr old cant live by the self ,too funny. then in next sentence it state if you are 15 yrs old or older  then both of you have to do this survey. the hours  to call them were 930am-930pm -which is odd for government as government jobs are 8am-4-420pm or 9am -5pm . no weekends.
tonight march13 2018. left a message -called 930pm when checked time stamp of message left. My number is restricted ,never ever seen light of day never been published and like you only family have it for emergency or very specific people. I too am ticked off ,how the hell did they get this. hum... i dont get telemarketing calls so this is very fishy.  i riped up letters and deleted call. have in my city/province they are quite a few scams going around. If this was real it would be in the paper/on the radio /news if stats canada was really doing this survey.. The call came up as an unknown name -fishy for stats can? and 204 -983-2773 . -this isnt a local area code and is not in my province,dont know the number. the 800-665-3393 is number they left to call them back  and hrs at 930am-930pm telemarketers arent allowed to call after 8pm. this is really fishy.. and heard background noise of people talking/ laughing. ..date of letter sent was jan 19 2018 - i received first on a month later and second on march7 2018.. If letter/ book sent  were real  why take so long if supposedly from my province..what amazing me it number as it not in my province.Id just like to know how the hell they got my number when is restricted-only existed for 10 yrs.plan on reporting it to police and do not call list and service .2017 was known for phone spoofing  now 2018 is this..did they send u a letter as well.

call blocking number, call trace -phone providers have this on ur phone incase  one needs to use it. it cost 5.00 to use . and report number/numbers/time day etc to phone provider and they will deal with in for you..

they left message like that on my machine at 930at night  but never said a name for who to call just ot call them said hrs were 9am-930pm. government  doesnt work past 5pm.my number is restricted so wondering how they got it as only family have it..they sent of 2 letters whichonly got end of feb and march 7 2018 .yet they sent it out on 19th jan 2018 why did it take that long if it was honest mailed in my province. in letter it said only way to complete was online or to call them 9am-930pm.  funny thing -said  if you are 15yrs old and only one in household u  have to complete this. how the hell can a 15 live alone in their own house-they cant own a house  or live by them self at 15. then in next sentence said if u are 15 yrs old or older then  then both people have to complete. very odd. every one i talked to said they didnt get a letter ,havent heard anything it on media which is odd cause if it were real it would be on new etc.. i just deleted call. number on phone that appeared was 204-983-2773 and an unknown caller ,number to call back was 800 665-3393.  in my province 866 for toll free or 888 not 800.girl was had accent- like hindu/indian  -not canadian, didnt speak proper english and noise in back ground people talking/ laughing.my number have never been published.. so how did they get it?this survey thing is identical to cencus thing in 2016/2017..

If a representative is being unruly report them to statistics Canada. Please refrain from trying to slander a government branch.

If you truly were a government employee then I would think that you would know that no one has ever been slandered from posts on this or any other website where the information is typed in and not verbally communicated.

I was called after 9.  They said statistics Canada and labour survey which I had checked online as to procedure.  They had not sent a letter. They said they had. Most of been lost.  I said in the letter is a code I can do on line.  They said no you have to give them your email. Wrong just checked again. She said people without email can’t do online surveys.  B***t. It says on the website you can.  Anyway just answered questions and when ever a stupid one came up.  I asked what they had to do with labour.  The thing is I would do a survey online just not on the phone.  So I have 5 more calls to put up with unless I do some time get the letter. Calling people on Sundays and after 8 pm should not be allowed by anyone even the government.

Stats Canada calling. Very annoying . They sent a email for us to fill out and it took about a hour to fill about farming. Now I’m getting calls again and emails about what we seeded for crops this year. Well I didn’t answer survey yet since we were waiting for rain and still not complete seeding yet !!  😡😡😡

They called me I answered and I shouldn’t have don’t want anymore calls  what can I do about this they have imformation

800-665-3393 - Be aware of this number do not answer they are scammer, they use this number from statistic canada but the are not real. They link thier ananymous phone to this number and ask you so many question. While you are talking with them they can record all your information from your computer connected to the internet, specially if you are using online banking they can scam you. Do not answer them.

They are absolutely scammer period. they want to get inside your computer while you are talking with them be aware

Calling 9pm shift worker is unacceptable and unprofessional and I will block this number.

They keep calling my number, I don't answer. They call from one number leaving a message to call back at a different number. Think with Christmas near the SCAMMERS are out in force!!!!!!

This response from the “statscan employee” is how you know it’s a scam. They don’t know how we do business here.

Just add them to call block list, then your reason is:- your phone was off charging... network down... bad reception, there's a million things you can do if ever asked. - Tell the Goverment nothing... they use this to screw you on taxes, plus their security measures suck, ask Russia or China.
