Hope they get fined.

Got a call on my cell phone from this number but did not answer it.  If I do not recognize a number on both my cell or my landline I refuse to answer. No message was left.

Links in the reply by ASDE are "404 webpage cannot be found!"

Don't know anyone at this number calling my cell so didn't answer. They didn't leave a ms, so likely robo scammer.

Market research calls (annoying as they might be) are an important part of improving our everyday products and services.  In some countries its actually illegal to refuse market research if you are busy youd need to reschedule the call.

Its says a survey to find out if you have a land line and ask you to press 1 for yes or 2 for no. DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING. This is an autodialer to see what numbers belong to people. If you press a number then you'll be put on endless other scam phone call lists. Don't call them to remove your number from their company either. Again, this confirms that the # belongs to a person and they sell this info to other call centres.

Surveys, political calls, etc. are exempted from the Do Not Call List.

My call said it was a survey from Gatineau about whether or not we are a 100% cell phone family or whether we have a home phone. Press 1, 2, or 9 -- which I decided was not a good idea and hung up. Will mark # as spam now. There was another number which called me right before the 1-800 number (1-510-786-xxxx) and didn't leave a message, and which I don't recognize. Should probably block that too.
