Msg. left to call 1-800-728-1695 ext. 8370.  They called in regards to a ticket for a BMW.  I was to call and quote ticket number 704516 to confirm things

I received a msg from Shane at AVOS resorts today. He said that I had entered a draw for a BMW and that I had won. I do enter a lot of contests so it very well could have been true. I was too curious not to call him back so I did. He asked if I remembered entering a contest and when I said no he listed off various places where I might have entered - restaurant, mall, trade show - but didn't give me a specific place. He verified my address - I didn't give him any info, he already had it - and said that my ballot would be placed in a "FINAL" draw and that the prize winner would be notified by registered mail at that address. He didn't mention anything about timeshares or anything further than this information. I asked how many people would be in the final draw and he said he's never given that information! Sounds way too good to be true so I'm not holding my breath at all...

Got a message today from ADOS or AVOS about my entry for a draw for a BMW. I didn't enter a draw for a BMW. No idea what this is about. Ballot number was 238198. Requested I call the 800 728 1695 number back (ext 8309).

Received the same call !!! What a pile of crap ... what bothers me however is how did they get my name ???

Same deal as everyone, except "AVOS Resorts" called my office looking for a Wendy G regarding a ballot she had entered for a 2010 BMW X5. He didn't actually leave a name but did rattle off a ballot number and the 1-800-728-1695 return line. Load of crap. Next.

Ahhh, and I was all excited,received a call today and had won BMW X5,so I called back and now I see this wed site,life sucks,too good to be true right.

Its a timeshare outfit that promises 2 $50 gift cards then when you get there they offer one $50 and a voucher for a 2 day vacation that you have to put $450 up front. During the presentation they tell you that these vacations cost only $45 per day. I think this is a cash grab. I wouldn't trust these guys.

... 2010 BMW SUV. They called the cell number, and asked for the person that had the cell phone about 1 1/2 years ago. NO contest takes that long.

I received two calls from AVO Resort. Her name was Brenda, extension 8311, and they gave me a quote number saying they needed to varify my info regarding a draw I entered for a BMW X20.
I didn't call back because my colleauge googled the resort and this blog came up.

I did enter a draw at serious coffee house in cr about 3 months ago; same [***]; call back about a 2010 bmw ext# 718164 Ext Lisa 8306.......I did call 1 800 728 1695 and could never get ahold of her; so yeah figured that it was a scam...........If I remember it right the draw looked like the real deal; I`ve called the local dept about this and plan on having them shut down......by the way its Constable Sam; and Sucker is`nt by middle name. These people are just slimballs.

OMG I received the same call from a guy named Time. I thought it was real but when I saw this I knew it was a scam

"Nicole" had called meabout my entery form and said that i entered a draw for the childerens charity
and that i had won a 2010 BMW and that i'm to call back right away today until 3:00 if not monday

Sherry or Charlene left a message for me with my parents saying i needed to verify some info to claim my 2005 BMW XY (she must be new).

This is actually the second time this has happened to me, last year about the same time I got a call for a lexus, I gave them my info and they said the draw was in march never heard back but never felt like the info i gave them did anything.. They just asked me to clarify the info i had written on my application form.

I know this info is given to them by boston pizza, it might not be all franchies but I know the one at metrotown gave them this.

Lets go group sue.

I had that same number call my cell phone but I didn't pick up. On the message she left knew all my info. (full name, city, address, ext) and she said I had put down a second number on the ballet and she would try that. 2 min later she called my house. And left a more detailed message. When ever I do see a car in a contest I always sign up. So I find it weird she would know all this info about me.

If all our info. is for sale to this crookers , how do you stop them. How did they manage to operate for so many years? Are they legal?
What are they getting out of all this calls?

Got a call from them today to verify my info on an entry I had put in to win a BMW...don't remember entering the draw. I received a call from them a year or two about a Lexus as well. They are getting your info from those entry forms sitting on counters at various stores and restaurants. The entry forms are to win a car. When they called me a few years ago, I called them back to verify my info. After that I was getting all sorts of phone calls from telemarketers. Not sure if it's a coincidence or if they are selling the info to telemarketing companies. Not calling them back this time.

I'm glad I decided to Google AVOS because I just got a message on my CELL phone (how they got the number, I have no idea) saying I had entered a draw for a 2010 BMW (no Lexus for me!).  Anyway, thanks to everyone's posts, I won't be calling them back.  They also left the 1-800-728-1695 phone number.

I got a call from a lady named Charlotte.....same thing as everyone here.  She had all my info and said i had entered to win a BMW.  I told her i was busy and she has now left me two messages.  Sounds sketchy!!!
