Same thing happened to me. Luckily, it just appeared this month and was under pending transactions.

When you call, don't bother listening to the options. Just press zero and it will take you directly to a live operator.

FYI, the operator was very nice, so no reason to jump on them. They will ask for your last name with spelling, and the email address you may have used. They already have this on file, so you are not giving out anything they don't already know. They will give an explanation why you were charged, and then cancel and give your money back. It's a very smooth process.

In my case, I was duped by Pizza Hut. See if I ever order from them again!

My wife purchased some items from Shutterfly.com and somehow got duped into this. Thankfully I caught this today as it was just charged and pending. Called the number and they were very friendly and helpful and offered a few options. While these tactics are deceptive, I blame the sites that we purchase from more than this company. Many many stores do the exact same with "free magazines"

Just noticed my husbands checking acct was charged the 12.00 fee. Called, don't know who I spoke to but she was very nice. Apparently when I ordered from Woman Within they started charging this account which is not under my name and I do not have authorization to use it. So they are refunding for the past two months that they took out of my husbands account and they were very nice about it. They also offered to pay for any check fees that had been associated with the unknown 12.00 fee.

    Holly Copeland, Carol Copeland
Found on Holly's bank statement: a recurring $10.00 charge for "reservation rewards" from CT location with phone number 800=732-7031.  My daughter, Holly is away at college and I found this on her statement.  She was unaware that it was a recurring charge and they have taken quite a bit of money at $10.00/month for the past year.

How do I help Holly get this off her statement ASAP?

This was not a phone call--that I know of, though she has received soliciting on her cell, we just never put the two together.  I felt I could send this to you due to the relationship of the #800-732-7031 supplied on her bank statement.

Just called the 800 number on Holly's statement and the young man was super helpful in tracing the origin of the chg. Then he was able to cancel and reimburse the past 14 charges of $10 each charge.

Thanks for posting similar situations and the success of pursuing an investigation.  This one had positive results!

So I noticed a debit purchase on my bank account that I did not make. I researched the number 18007327031 and found that it was scam. Months ago I had ordered tickets from Fandango.com which enrolled me in Reservation Rewards. So I called Reservation Rewards and cancelled the membership and asked for a refund. They were very polite, but it is frustrating!!!!

They dinged me apparently for getting movie tickets from MovieTickets.com.  They won't refund past charges only those going forward.

They were very polite and friendly on the phone.

KBToys.com is offering this rip-off scam.  My wife ordered some birthday presents online and BAM...we were signed up for 2 different scams with this company.

This should be illegal and the company should be shut down.

In Re Webloyalty.com, Inc. Marketing and Sales Practices Litigation,
MDL Case No. 07-01820-JLT, Lead Case No. 06-11620-JLT (USDC, District of Massachusetts)
A FEDERAL COURT ORDERED THIS NOTICE.  THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FROM A LAWYER OR FROM WEBLOYALTY.COM, INC.  ("WLI") TO PURCHASE ANYTHING.
YOU MAY BENEFIT FROM A PROPOSED CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT.  PLEASE READ.
This email is a summary of the full Notice that is available on the Settlement website at:
    www.webmarketingsettlement.com
You may be eligible to receive compensation from a proposed class action settlement if you enrolled in or were a member of WLI's Reservation Rewards, Shoppers Discounts & Rewards, Members Specials, Buyer Assurance, Distinctive Privileges, PC Protection Plus, Travel Values, Travel Values Plus, Classmates Rewards, and/or Wallet Shield program (collectively, the "Programs") from September 11, 2000 through September 30, 2008.
A federal court has directed that this Notice be sent to inform you of a proposed class action settlement.  Records show that you were enrolled in or were a member of one or more of the Programs identified above from September 11, 2000 through September 30, 2008.  The "Settlement Class" or "Class," however, shall not include:  (1) those consumers who both were residents in the United Kingdom and enrolled in a Webloyalty International, Ltd. program, (2) those consumers who received a complimentary Program membership, and (3) those WLI employees who were members of a Program for purposes of fulfilling their job functions.
The Settlement will resolve a lawsuit in which claims are made that WLI, et al. (the "Defendants"), among other claims, failed to disclose Program enrollment details regarding monthly billing and transfer of billing information causing consumers to enroll in Programs without full consent in violation of state and federal law.  Defendants deny any wrongdoing and the Court has not decided the merits of these allegations.  The parties have agreed to settle and provide benefits to Class Members in exchange for a release of claims by Class Members arising out of any of the allegations in the lawsuit or Class Members' membership and/or enrollment in the Programs.
To determine if you are a Class Member eligible to receive compensation and to obtain a full Notice of the proposed Settlement, which includes the required procedures, the deadlines, your obligations, and your options, you must visit www.webmarketingsettlement.com.  You may also obtain the full Notice by calling the Settlement Administrator at 1-888-571-1765, sending an email request to the Settlement Administrator at webmarketingsettlement@gardencitygroup.com, or writing the Settlement Administrator, c/o The Garden City Group, Inc., P.O. Box 9265, Dublin, OH 43017-4665.
If you are an eligible Settlement Class Member you have rights, obligations and options under the proposed Settlement.  You have until May 29, 2009 to make certain decisions and until September 2, 2009 to file a Claim Form.  Your legal rights are affected whether you act or not.
SUMMARY OF SETTLEMENT BENEFITS AND YOUR OPTIONS
    1. PARTICIPATE IN THE SETTLEMENT AND SUBMIT A CLAIM FORM
Class Members who submit a timely and valid Claim Form can receive a cash settlement payment in an amount equivalent to the cost of up to two months' membership in each Program for which they were enrolled.  Defendants will pay a Settlement Cash Amount up to ten million dollars ($10,000,000).  If the amount of the claims submitted exceeds this amount, the amount of each individual cash settlement payment will be reduced proportionately so it does not exceed the maximum.  The Settlement also provides for comprehensive remedial changes in the manner of enrollment in the Programs and the information provided to consumers concerning their enrollment and membership in the Programs.
The cost of Settlement notice, administration costs, and attorneys' fees and expenses will be paid by WLI separate and apart from the Settlement Cash Amount.  These costs will in no way reduce the benefits available to Settlement Class Members from the Settlement Cash Amount.
The Claim Form also gives you the opportunity to cancel memberships in any of the Programs.  A Claim Form may be obtained on-line at www.webmarketingsettlement.com, by calling 1-888-571-1765 or by sending a written request to the Settlement Administrator, c/o The Garden City Group, Inc., P.O. Box 9265, Dublin, OH 43017-4665.  Your Claim Form must be postmarked no later than September 2, 2009.  For more information regarding the eligibility requirements and the Settlement benefits, you may visit www.webmarketingsettlement.com.  Please do not contact the Court.
    2. EXCLUDE YOURSELF FROM THE SETTLEMENT
This is the only option that allows you to bring your own lawsuit against the Defendants for the same types of claims alleged in this matter.  Your request for exclusion must be mailed to the Settlement Administrator and postmarked on or before May 29, 2009.  The full Notice, available at www.webmarketingsettlement.com, explains how to exclude yourself.  Please do not contact the Court.
    3. OBJECT TO OR COMMENT ON THE SETTLEMENT/ATTEND THE FINAL APPROVAL HEARING
If you do not exclude yourself, you can write the Court and mail a copy to the Settlement Administrator and one of Class Counsel about why you do, or do not, support the proposed Settlement or any of its provisions or about speaking to the Court about the fairness of the proposed Settlement.  The Court will hold a hearing on June 30, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. to determine whether the Settlement should be finally approved.  Your objection or comments must be filed with the Court and served on or before May 29, 2009.  You can also attend this hearing, but you do not have to.  The full Notice, available at www.webmarketingsettlement.com, explains how to object or comment on the proposed Settlement and the procedures you need to follow if you intend to appear at the Fairness Hearing.
    4. DO NOTHING
If this proposed Settlement is approved, you will automatically be included in the Settlement Class and give up your right to be part of any other lawsuit regarding the same issues raised in this Litigation, and you will not be eligible to receive compensation from the Settlement unless you submit a Claim Form.
    FINAL FAIRNESS HEARING
On June 30, 2009 at 12:00 p.m, a hearing will be held in Courtroom 22, 7th floor, of the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Way, Boston, Massachusetts 02210.  The purpose of the hearing is for the Court to decide whether the proposed Settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate and should be approved.  The Court will also decide whether a final judgment should be entered dismissing this lawsuit, and the amount of attorneys' fees and reimbursement of expenses and incentive awards to the Settlement Class Representatives.  This hearing may be postponed without further notice.
To get complete information about the proposed Settlement, copies of the full Notice and Claim Form as well as the deadlines, your obligations, and your options, you must visit www.webmarketingsettlement.com, call the Settlement Administrator toll-free at 1-888-571-1765 or send an email to webmarketingsettlement@gardencitygroup.com.  Do not contact the Court.

Had the same thing happen to me when I ordered some coffee for a present on-line from Gevalia Coffee. Didn't notice I'd been charged for four months by Reservations Rewards, $12 each month, and I only did notice because it was the only charge on my card this month. I called them and told them I was disputing the charges and they said they would refund my money and send me an email verification. I also called Master Card and they told me if I didn't get a refund to call them back. There is no way I requested this, this is definitely a scam.  Too many people here having the same problem.

I just called them today. It turns out after I ordered some flowers off of FTD.com for my girlfriend they got me. Luckily I caught it before it was too bad-but they still charged me twice for $12!! I can't believe that it was so easy for them. If you call them take the advice off this site. They said that my membership was cancelled and within 3-5 business days the funds will be put back into my account. We'll see if they come through.

I want to thank everyone for the information about this scam! I have been charged 12 dollars for 5 months now! I just noticed it today on my bank statement. I guess I don't look at it enough, I have no idea how I missed that.

Emily on the phone told me that when I bought concert tickets from a website, I signed up for Reservation Rewards. No, no I did not. I demanded a refund for the past charges and a "cancellation" of my "account" with them. What a crappy set-up! How can someone go to work in the morning knowing their job is to screw people over?

Don't bother listening to the main menu, just hit 0 and you will get to talk to someone. The only good part is that they're nice on the phone and don't ask any questions about why you want your refund or want to cancel the "subscription" ---- Be mean anyway, these people are thieves!

Things like this make me so mad!

Yep, I noticed the same mysterious $12 charge on my account, and I searched my account history and found 4 other charges!  I really should have noticed sooner, but when I called the 800 #, I had my "membership" canceled and was promised a refund in 3-5 business days.  Apparently, buying movie tickets on movietickets.com signs you up for this mysterious membership where they forget to mention the $12 monthly charge. Nice. It was obvious the women I spoke with had dealt with this situation many times.  She basically told me I could either cancel or regain access to my membership and all the "perks".  I canceled, and she still tried to get me to stay with them.  I had to ask twice what their company actually is before I got an answer, and I had to request a refund twice before I was given one.  This is ridiculous and they should be shut down immediately.

My husband just noticed a charge on his bank account that he did not order from
Reservation Rewards of $12.00 dollars. Called the bank to stop it and they said they couldn't do that because they took it from our debit card. Now that is scary. no one gave them permision to take it from our bank account. there must be a way to stop these scams. I am furious that this can happen.
watch all your accounts every month for $12. You might be next. today is sunday so I can't call to cancel. What is the $12. for anyway. I'm not getting anything except giving a donation to this corrupt organization of Reservation Rewards.Shame on you!!!!!!

I also got charged onto my bank account.  I called the number and pressed 0 to speak with an operator.  They said I made a transaction to become a member with Fandango and Rewards Reservation.  I never made a transaction so I asked for them to cancel my "membership" and to give me a refund.  He said he would and I got a confirmation number.  I'm upset that they charged me the money, but they had no problem refunding me the money.

I just got the $12 charge in the bank statement from MC-Reservation Rewards on 06/22/09 for no apparent reason.  My bank the Washington Mutual (WAMU) allow this strange company to apply this charge into my checking account creating an overdraft charge of $34 by the bank.  The bank could not explain the charge and told me to contact MC Reservations to the 800-732-7031 number.  There a costumer rep who ask to send my personal information (home address, bank statement to the following fax (203)538-7041.  I think this is not appropriate for WAMU to allow strange charges on personal checking accounts.

Just call the number, they will reimburse it. It is ridiculous though! I was charged after ordering movie tickets from fandago. They guy I spoke with kept going through some spiel about how they try and make it as clear as possible what the "membership" entails. Who clicks on something that says "save $10" when they in the end get charged $12?  At least they pay you back! I'll be checking my statements to be sure!
