    I just received a call from this number and it seemed obviously crooked to me. It was automated and used no exact names of people (including me) or places (it simply said "a bill from YOUR HOSPITAL"). I have absolutely ZERO outstanding payments to any party, and I always pay any bills as soon as I get them. I haven't even received medical care within the past 6 months. I want to make them stop and give them an earful as well but I don't want to call back and risk getting my number confirmed in some system. Due to the impression I got from this number or service or whatever you may call it, I would advise anyone who DOES have outstanding payments to take them up with the original party. This seems like a very dubious operation.

    Was unable to answer the call. Caller left NO message. They also called BEFORE 9AM, which is illegal for ALL forms of debt collection. {which it appears to be from previous posts}

    I have received a call from this number every other day for two weeks now.  I do not answer calls I do not know nor has anyone left a message.  After reading the previous messages, I can say this wrong.  I do not know this hospital nor have I  had anything medical done with anyone associated with this hospital.  I am not calling the number back.  If they can not leave me a message, I won't waste my time.   The person who wrote the "pay your bill comment" - you are wrong!  This has nothing to do with paying bills.  They are desperate to collect on older accounts (by definition any account past the six month timely filling insurance companies require) and have sold them to a third party.  As I just recently got this number when moving to Kansas, I know this has nothing to do with me but collection agencies don't care.  It is time to change the phone number.

    It's ironic, once national health insurance goes through all this medical debt will not exist.  All these collection agencies will be out of business.  Hospitals charge too much and can settle for less.  When I worked at a small doctor's group many of the patients/customers would just pay $10 a week.  Most people will pay a little something if the staff is just willing to work with the customers/clients.  Turning the amount over to a collection agency is a sure way of loosing future business AND not getting the balance of what they owe.

    This caller said thank you for using LaGrange Memorial Hospital and politely asked me if I would like to pay my bill over the phone with a credit card.

    My bill was held up for adjustment because I CAUGHT LaGrange Memorial Hospital billing me for something that I did not get from them. I also reported that charge to my insurance companies fraud department.
    I told her that I would pay by check.

    I kept getting calls from them. Told them they had the wrong number and asked them to take this # off their list. They asked from my name and I told them I was Deckard Cain. They called me again several times after that and I told them if they didn't stop calling I would file harassment charges. I then put up a bone wall, then fetched  Wirt's pegleg a tome of town portals and entered the secret cow level. I have yet to receive another harassing phone call.

    Oh, because businesses always pay their bills and don't try to take advantage of consumers, right?

    They called me today at 8:42am CST.

    The message they left me: "To  speak  with  the  Patient  Financial  Services  Representative,  or  if  you  have  your  account.  Order  reference  number  press  3.  If  you  have  received  this  message  and  wish  to  speak  with  one  of  our  patient  Financial  Services  Representatives,  please  return  our  call  at  1(800) 737-9140."

    If it was regarding finances, why go through a machine? Why not have a physical person call? You're working with finances and you can't hire an actually human to make calls for you, but rather have some annoying humanoid call? That's pretty pathetic.

    wow, I'm guessing you either work for the hospital or collection company.
    Either way, nasty people don't make people pay there bills.  In my case, when someone is hateful, your last on the list to get paid..... Food for thought.

    I called the number and they were able to look up my information based on their caller id.  I had to verify my address and they apologized to me because I had paid my bill over a month ago and it shouldn't have gone to them.  She told me the amount, it's one I had paid for some lab services.

    It's has nothing to do with paying your portion of the medical expenses. I have paid MY PORTION of the bill BEFORE ANY SERVICES WERE RENDERED TO ME (MRI) and 10% MORE than what is required of me to pay per my insurance plan coverage. However, my insurance company decided they didn't want to pay the amount asked therefore leaving me with these people calling me 1-2 times a day asking for hundreds of dollars. CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY NOT ME. My insurance company is part of your affiliation if you don't like what they pay out then don't have them as a provider to YOUR business. I've picked up and told them they will never get another penny from me and they atleast seemed to take it well. Asked me to call my insurance company back which I am not going to do it's the last people i want to take to. I pay for my medical insurance which I haven't even used in the past 5 years AT ALL. I needed to use it one time and they don't want to pay.

    Have been receiving daily calls from this number for several days now.  I do not answer unknown out of state calls.  They have yet to so much as leave a message as to what they are calling in regards to.  As I've seen on this site they appear to have a relationship to SMMC, where I have been a patient several times, but I haven't even gotten an EOB from my insurance stating what was paid and what I owe.

    I am getting phone calls from an 800 number which go to my voicemail.  I don't even hear the phone ring.
    They do not leave a name, just an 800 number.

    Recieved a call this morning, 2/14/2012, but I didn't get to my phone fast enough.  No message, but I looked up the caller number before calling back.  They are a medical collection/payment company and they were calling about my balance from a recent emergency hospital visit.  I was on hold for all of about 10 second and got a very nice person confirming my payments, balance, hospital in question, my address, and confirming (I'm sure) that I intended to pay my bill.  The answer is yes.  The person was very nice, efficient, and pleasant.
