Received a call from this number, can not identify whom they say they are calling from (dont creditors have to say its a call from a creditor, under the fair debt collection Act??) Big violation right there. They give a reference number. of course I am not calling them back, the statute of limitations in NC is just 3 years, so they are peobably aggregators that have bought an old debt for pennies on the dollar. Will definitely not be calling them since they cant follow the law.

The caller is MSD. MSD is a vendor for SMMC and other medical providers. They are paid by medical providers to deliver statements and if required, push to or render collections of any monies owed by the patient. Basically they are a good for nothing middle company who makes a percentage of your medical bills requiring your medical provider to basically lose a little income from your services. Combined with Insurance contracts, increases global medical expenses for all. Great idea "not".

Here's something you should know about SMMC. I have been a life long fan of this hospital. (49 years) and I can promise you this. If you are standing or laying on tile floors you are in the BEST of care,however, if you are standing or sitting /laying on carpet, you're screwed. They just don't hire or train quality people to work the "front end". It's a Florida corporate issue and if you have ever worked for a medium to large corporation, you may understand that it is nothing personal it is just the American way. Sorry but we did it to ourselves.

After my identity got stolen, I have no reason to talk to any strange callers ! So if it's another thief trying me out, they're on their own,"Happy Motoring"! The last one got me for $22,000,so Kma!

Thay called me once. I did not call back. I do not owe medical bills. I have good insurance with no deductible. It's probably scammers.

So I called around and it is a vendor multiple hospital systems use to collect payment (they kept saying they weren't debt collectors, but let's be real).  Mine was on behalf of Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  I called their billing department directly and they had some rando's address on file (and no where I had ever lived), so I never received the bill.  SMMC is a huge mess full of [***]-ups, so if you're getting a call from this number on behalf of Shawnee Med, call their billing department directly, as most likely they've [***] up at some point.

I received a call from this number recently, and you are right, it is an electronic message asking to press this button and that button if this is not the person they should be speaking to, I do and I continue to receive these calls.  The worst part is I do not know how they got my work cell number and they are asking for my mother who actually is Dead for 2 months now, I tell them this and they continue to call.

In speaking to a lawyer after my mothers death they cannot demand payment from you, you are not held responsible for the deceases bills.  They basically have to eat it.

Call me too and use my name of my work and somw reference number. Called them and unavailable call back.

SCAM. False information and when I corrected it, they hung up on me.
