I got a call from this number (missed call, but no voicemail), and according to what many of you are saying, it's Shawnee Mission Medical Center... in KS??? I have never been to ANY medical center, hospital or anything in KS... in fact, I've never been to KS... what gives?

In my case it was an outstanding hospital bill incurred at Florida Hospital.

There is no excuse for harassment idiot!!!

Does anyone have an address for these jokers.  You can write them and insist they stop calling you.  If they don't, they can be fined.  Fair Debt Collection Practices.  You need a mailing address to send a letter to though.  Does anyone have it?

It's a Medical Collection Agency (Gasp!!). Honestly, just call them and get stuff straightened out. If it's your bill, tell them who is paying the balance (Insurance, Relative, Medicaid, You) and when, or the necessary info. If it's not you they're looking for, then let them know they got the wrong number (they will likely ask your name, don't argue - just make one up - they just want to make sure that they leave a note on the account that says "This #XXX-XXX-XXXX belongs to Mr/Mrs John/Jane Doe and they do not know the customer".). Don't let a call from this number make YOU feel like you are avoiding someone. :-)

Basically they are here to harass.  I just call them back..or answer and blow a bull horn. I mean there is only so much a person can do

Shawnee mission medical ctr is a great hospital but their billing and collections stink. like others have said, they ask you to call back, you do, and are holding over 5 minutes! they're bugging me about a small bill. so when I pay it, I'll probably get a check back from them for overpayment. this happens ALOT!

Another person who works for phone co said that they use 1-800 mask who they are because you cant use 800's to make calls only call in. It's very easy to change the number that appears on called I'd & they know these message boards exist.

Did a search on web & saw that number had been associated with Bank of America among others. Logged on to check my BOA account. My card balance was zero however, they slapped me with a annual fee of $59 & tacked on a late fee of $15 for it as we'll. Since, I knew I had a zero balance, I was not making payments on account. All of mine are programmed automatically to go out of my account too avoid late fees like these. Wasn't aware of this fee. Will be closing account regardless of how it impacts my credit. There are enough credit card companies out there that I don't need to pay an annual fee for the privilege of having a BOA card. On top of the fact this card has a high interest rate of 17.99%. They also reduced my line of credit from $10,000 to $1700 in 2008 although I was never late and had the card for over six years. They always watch their back and can care less about the consumer. We're just a number to them.

Its not impossible if you focus and cut back. A lot of us are doing it. You can get out of debt. Use cash and credit when you have to. Then pay it off ASAP. The borrower becomes slave to the lender. I'll be free of debt slavery in March 2014! It's taken almost 3 years but, I will be free soon and it's been worth it.

I got a call from them today...
They asked for my Grand mom I told then she passed away a year ago. They had the nerve to call a second time today. I am upset the girl on the phone said she was calling from Flagler Hospital and that I needed to pay them.

I am being called by people I do not know, have had no prior communication with and do not owe any money.

who cares? they can call all they want. they won't get a response from me. I never get any mail about whatever they are calling about - an overdue bill maybe? - who knows. they can't be very successful with these tactics. if they were serious, they'd take some legal action. since they don't, I don't worry. I'll change my number soon enough and they can spend more time tracking me but I can play this game forever.

My surgery, I paid my "outta pocket" to the DR..... $2300.00.....insurance denied it AFTER they got the bill but I was "pre-approved " .....now it's on my credit...so I'm assuming THAT is why I am getting calls from this number now....Surgery was 5 years ago....

we get a call regular.  After an entire year of fighting throat cancer in our home, our funds are about drained dry.  They need to quit harassing!!!  As a caretaker, I have a full load of responsibilities of caring for my loved one and no time to mess with them!  We pay what we are able to pay and that is exactly what we are doing so stop the harassment immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey mouth.. up there.. i have medicaid and medicare im on disability.. and have no co pay so they are harrassing me against the law and i told them that and i reported them to my insurance company and now i have a lawyer and they are getting sued.. how do you like them apples because they are harrassing me for things they do not have a claim for.. what my insurance company doesnt pay medicaid pays.. got that.. so before you open your mouth up about things you know nothing about.. they are a scam and my lawyer said they are.. they do not have a right to do what they are doing to  these people there are laws about what they do..especially people in my situation.. so shut the heck up..learn the facts before you start spewing your stupid so called facts..

I receive calls from this number stating their from script services and to call back. No names nothing. They don't even state a name for who they're looking for. Not answering.
