- LmaoIf your parents are cosigning loans for you and your letting them default you should probably talk to them! As they are government loans they can garnish their wages and lien! Your the [***] for avoiding fixing the problem! Not only ate you irresponsible but your blaming other people for your laziness! I pulled out a loan and they actually helped me resolve my delinquency! Personally in glad they weren't just telling you right away why your a reference! Do you want your friends knowing your broke? Btw if their backed by the govmt. Pretty sure their proceedings are legal! I defaulted on my Loan, but you idiots are the reason taxes are so high, if you borrow the money from the govmt and not pay it back how do you think it's getting payed back! You're the reason this generation is in debt #own up to your business!

- 77buttonsRecieved a call a Jessica Moore from DCS at 1-800-927-7667 X 3565. She asked if I knew our neighbor's phone number because she had an urgent business message for him, and she didn't have his phone number. I told her that I didn't have his phone number, but when I saw him I could give him a message. When I questioned her further about how she happened to call me, she said my number was in a Neighbor Directory. When I asked her what DCS stood for and what kind of company it was, she said that she couldn't tell me. At that point, I told her I wouldn't be able to help her. Very weird.

- JCThis is a collection agency - collecting student loan debt. If you do not call them and ignore them once DCS has your student loan to collect the WILL garnish your tax refunds or wages at work. JUST CALL THEM BACK. I spoke with them and set up a payment plan. Does it suck? Yup. But if you have a debt you need to pay it back, thats just how it is. I got myself into this situation so there is no need to bad mouth a debt collector collecting a valid debt. Are they sneaky? Yup. But you have to be sneaky to find people these days. Ask about their 9-month ''plan''. If you make all payments on time they transfer your loan back to good status. If you dont pay these people you will NEVER be able to get government student loans ever again. And more than likely, if they tarnish your credit report, you wont be able to get private student loans again with your crap credit.

- Confused1-800-927-7667; Ext. 7863. Caller: Kelly Richards. Apparently this is a student loan collection company that is famous for their underhanded and obnoxious calling habits. They just called my aunt looking for my number, even though I'm sure they have it--I just don't answer. The irony is my loans are not in default--one is in deferment and the other is set up on auto payment. So why the hell are they harassing not only me, but members of my family that I see maybe 3-4 times per year??? Bottom feeders, for sure.

- Judy| 1 replySo my phone was ringing and the caller ID number said 1-920-858-3500, and I don't recognize that number, so I let it go to voicemail. The voicemail said; "Good afternoon, this is Brittany Larson calling with P-R-I, if you could give me a call back at 1-800-927-7667, extension 3564." I have no idea who this is or what they want and they didn't even identify who I was or if they knew what number they were calling or WHY they were calling or WHY I should call them back.

- Judy replies to JudySo I called them back to figure out what was going on and it turns out they were calling to reach my older sister about her old college loans, but when I outright asked them what it was about, they said it was a "personal business matter", well then why should I give you any information about her if you won't tell me why you want to bother her?
- Stephanie replies to ready-to-smack-sombodyMy neighbor same thing. Looking for an ex husband. Said they were in California same number. No explanation. She was all worried. I told her not to give them any info on me please.
- ms. smiththis number called my job looking for me. who is this?

- AnonymPerformant Recovery - Called my daughters job regarding full payment of a $8,000 student loan. Threatened to garnish her paycheck, etc. Very rude. I got all the account information.Asked for the SSN. They gave me the wrong SSN, so I hung up. I contacted the holder of the loans and found out that one loan had been paid off and the other was in good standing. They did not have the correct loan balance at all. If you are in default, you need to call the originator of your loan to find out the status, and to find out the real name of the collection agency working on their behalf.

- NateReceived a call from a "Lynn Perry" at this number. Said she was looking for my parents "Thor" and "Carolyn." Told her that wasn't me. She asked for my parent's names. I declined to provide them. She then said I had a debt that was linked to me and asked for my SSN. I told her to lose my number, and to not call me back again. I hung up the phone.

- AnonymousI received a call from an ASHLEY DRAKE looking for one of my co workers. I asked what it was regarding and she said it was regarding a personal business matter. I told her nicely if she could contact him at another number because (1) we do not allow personal phone calls at our work place and (2) he was offsite at another location. She then rudely asked if I could provide another phone number for him and I let her know that I could not do that. She got very upset so I offered to take a message down. She was extremely rude to me then asked to speak to my manager then threatened to speak to HR. BE CAREFUL WITH THESE PEOPLE! THEY TRICK YOU INTO GIVING UNCESSECARY INFORMATION!!!!

- Dr. Duckworth replies to Mr. M.Thanks for the useful information. We just got a call from the 1-800-927-7667 number, x2128, looking for my husband's son who does not live here. The caller, Valerie Campbell, was extremely rude and pushy, asking incessantly for information without providing any herself --- no company name, reason for the call or reason for me to provide the information. I tried unsuccessfully to learn enough from her about the reason for her call to determine how I was going to handle her questions, with her snapping back at me in a defensive and aggressive tone of voice. I ended up telling her that she was acting very rude, that she was interrupting me on a very busy workday, and that this call was finished. I would like to report this company, or at least this employee, to help put a stop to their practice of making rude and aggressive phone calls. This sort of behavior is unacceptable. Even if there is a legitimate aim to be accomplished by their calling peripheral people, they have no excuse for being rude. Where can this practice be reported?
