Not a legit company! DO NOT give them your SS #. Don’t give them ANYTHING.

They are just trying to shake people down for money, plain and simple. Does not matter if you have any debt or not. They are using  phone fishing, “phishing” as the ploy to get you hooked into giving them money.

Somebody named Peter asking for Eileen Richmond, asking many questions if she was working or looking for work, I asked him why but he said there was no other way to reach her.  He said was an PRI office

Got a call from a very assertive woman asking for someone I use to know, asking for reference.  I got suspicious and ask what is the reference for, and she said "can not disclose it due to a personal matter".  Left me a number to call back to a company ? P.R.I. ?

Sound like a private investigation or something ?  

Asking for a relative who didn't live with me and gave me her address is this still correct, I said yes but maybe shouldn't have

So my best friend got a call from the number indicated above and the caller indicated to her to not let me know he wanted  just that he need you to call. Really these are the same people I try to negotiate with and is asking me for $1500 a month I don't even have $15 to spare. I sent letters indicating what I can pay and no response besides these threatening calls to friends and family being all in my business.

How is this seriously being allowed to go on without some kind of legal action against this complete stalking/harassment!?!?!?? Exact same MO happened, a neighbor we don't even know left a note in our door saying someone called from that 800 number asking for my husband as an avenue to get to me, FYI my name is apparently Chrissy also which is news to me. This is weird and kinda scary, also I have never even applied for any student loans,,how SERIOUSLY do these people find out your neighbors, family members, names and numbers to track you down but not even get your name close to right or just call you directly!! Someone please tell me theres a way to stop this freaky stalking and a way to take some kind of action against these weirdos!! And how do they pick their lucky targets?

I got a call from this number looking for my daughter, She told me her name as Sheryl Hudson from Performance. Looked up that on the web and fond nothing.

Gavin Daniels called my landlord and was pumping her for information about me she got the name and number from him and delivered the message, I called back and the person who answered the phone never said what the call was about but immediately transferred me to Gavin at ext 3574. He  then tried to pump me for information before he even told me he was a debt collector or even what the debt was. This call was for a student loan from 2005 that the original collectors citi bank never provided me with the proof of debt that I asked them for, they then sold the debt to ecmc whom I also asked for proof from which surprise I never got, then they sold it to some collection agency in Livona , Mi again still no proof, now these people and I have asked again for proof. I will not hold my breath, THIS DEBT IS NOW 9 YEARS OLD , and still no proof it was me or is mine really???????

Ryan Stone from Performance and this phone number has exceeded the courtesy we have given him.  This company has contacted us on numerous occasions at home.  We have explained that the party they are looking for is a family member that we are not in contact with.  Apparently they think if they call us at our place of work we will give them a different answer.

Beware!!!! This is a service that seeks personal information or seeks to locate people. Play stupid.

I had a voice mail on my cell phone # (which is rare, since I'll usually use my home number for anything other than personal stuff) from a sweet sounding girl "Julia Michaelson" saying she was told that I "would be able to verify some information for her." That struck me as odd, plus I couldn't understand the company name she was saying - so I checked the 800 # online, which led me to this website. I am VERY glad I did not pick up nor did I call her back. I'm paying my daughter's student loans, thank you very much. And from the sound of it, she could have even been calling regarding my nephew or even their friends. Bloodsuckers.

The company is Performant Recovery Incorporated. They handle student loans in default. There I is a federal program available where people in hardship can enter payments for $5 a month. They wouldn't be calling unless the person they are trying to contact has a defaulted student loan. Not judging anyones circumstance, but think it would be in thier best interest to see what is available for them and hopefully to have people at least pass along the message to them. I keep getting phone calls from 1-800-927-7667 ext 4558 a mrs becky barnes or becy grimes, stating she's trying to consolidate my student loans, she also mailed me paper work that did not look right at all. so if anyone is getting calls from beck grimes or a becky barnes be aware she's a fraud.
