- Mecheck the Fair Debt Collection Act. You can report the harrassement and get money from these rude companies. Keep a diary. Answer the calls, note in your diary the day of week, date, time. Ask the person on the other end what their name is (first names usually given) and their employee code. Tell them you dispute the debt and if they continue to call you will report them. You need to ask for the ORIGINAL account number and creditor, then write to the fools (collection agency) stating you dispute the debt. They in turn should contact the original creditor to obtain proof of the debt. That debt (bill) should be sent to you within 30 days. Check the bill, pay special attention to account numbers, make sure its the correct bill you may have had way back when. Check how they spell your name. If its not your FULL name (nothing short for like Al for Alfred, etc.) If it doesn't state correct full name tell them the account is not in your name. Your real name is................. If the last name isn't spelled correctly, its not your bill either!

- Unhappy CamperOn 08/25/2010 at 14:48 I got a call from this number looking for a person I never heard of. The operator Brittney said she would remove my name from the call list. I doubt it!
- B FentonI received a call at 1100 hours on Sunday 9/5/10. They left a message on my phone machine stating they were calling about collecting a debt. I returned the call immediately and their message said to call back during regular working hours. Why even place a call on Sunday if no one is there to take their call? After reading other people's experience I hope that I am not going to be on their list. How can I be? I don't have any debts.

- Terry HThis 800-935-5152 calls my cell phone only during daytime hours but never leaves a message. Of course curiousity got the best of me, so I called the number back when I got home and the number does not identify a company name, it just has a generic message about calling back during business hours.
- LAUGHING AT THEMHey guys, give them some of their own medicine.Since they love calling you all day and bothering them, return the favor.Go to prankdial.com and you can send them free prank calls all day. There are a huge number of different prank calls to choose from and its hysterical to hear them talking to a recording all the time thinking its a real person.
If you all do it,they will go nuts from the sheer volume of fake calls they receive.
LMAO - InTheRightThese people are relentless! Calling all hours of day & night to TRY to collect $$ for medical bills which is over & above the contracted amount for given services with our insurance company & THIS IS EXPRESSLY FORBIDDEN BY LAW! I have letters from my insurance company stating they (health-care providers)are not allowed to collect from ME any amount over the contracted amount they agreed to when accepting any given insurance. They have RUINED our credit because it is dang-near impossible to get it off our record so as a result we probably couldn't finance a candy bar these days! But I refuse to pay money I DO NOT OWE! It amounts to bald-faced EXTORTION! If we can't PAY for it, we just do without. Makes me SICK! >: / If anyone knows how to help in this situation, DO TELL! I do not have bad debt; I merely have (apparently) health care providers who mis-code bills &/or greedy, unscrupulous providers who agree to "X" amount & then try to bully you into paying MORE!
Can our credit be cleaned up without PAYING someone to DO it? We have, otherwise, good standing with utilities, mortgage co. & car-finance company(just paid off-never late) and NO credit card debt.
I have gotten as many as FORTY FOUR calls in one 24-hour period! ENOUGH already!- Caller: Allied Interstate

- Henry WingateIgnore them. They'll eventually sell your debt to another scumbag & write their loss off on their taxes & get their bounty that way. If you have ring choice on your phone, set it for your friends, this way you'll know that if it rings differently, it's not one of your friends, it's a scumbag. Remember, these poor creatures have risen to the height of the life's achievement. I'm sure their parents & loved ones share in the embarrasment. What a waste.
